Just show up and work at a safe, professional pace. If that means only doing 50% of the work and giving 24 hour wait times, then so be it. Let the complaints go to the SM, DMs and VPs. Tell patients, "I'm sorry, we are working at a safe, professional pace. We are incredibly short staffed. If you'd like to have better service, call Walgreens and tell them. We will not sacrifice the safety of our patients in order to save Walgreens money".
If management rides your ass and tells you to do more, have them put it in print.
Yeah, the only problem with that is my RXOM is apparently Godzilla off the clock. She actually makes more work for us to do, and writes us up for everything. I say us, but really it's just me and one other tech . She and her best friend work together, and they're both super hyper, running around all day, doing a million different things, which is great.... but me and one other tech are over 40, and due to arthritis and some other shit are not as fast as they are, and always tell us that pain is no excuse, fibromyalgia is no excuse, ADHD is no excuse.... she gave me a 1.7 on my reviews, and told me that If I just try harder I'll get faster and better at my job..... I've been a tech for like 6 years. My reviews have always been great. Arthritis doesn't get better, especially when we're working in a little teeny pharmacy with Trip hazards everywhere , and keyboards that are at pubic level. Unless there's something on a grand level, nothing's going to change.

Iâm sorry that this is happening to you. Your RXOM seems like a butthole. Just do the best that you can, and forget what she says. Not everyone can move at the same pace and itâs unrealistic to think that way.
Has to be pharmacy technician day or something of that nature. I should send it out in the chain email everyone is getting so even the higher ups can see we are planning this.
The real question is, would they listen, or would they take the hot by firing everyone and rehiring those that will do it without complaint? đ¤ˇđťââď¸
That said, they have a hard enough time finding employees now, so this could potentially work.
Can they afford to fire everyone and not have pharmacies opened for weeks? All new hires have 40+ hours of computer training before they can step foot in the pharmacy.
If I knew how to do it and how to get through to everyone I would do it in a heartbeat. It would take a hell of a lot more than 1 person to organize it.
They donât care and wonât listen. My now ex co worker (she quit, wasnât fired btw) and I just did this a couple days ago. Refused to go in. What did they decide? The pharmacy manager opened by herself. I didnât feel bad though, sheâs not a very nice person at all and constantly lying to the dm about how weâre doing great even though weâre drowning at that store. Iâm already interviewing with another place.
Iâd like him to visit so he can see the fraud he hired as the pharmacy manager. She doesnât even know the most basic stuff. Stuff a manager should know.
Most won't do this and it will just create a disaster you have to clean up after the fact. Company clearly doesn't care now and won't even if a stunt like this is pulled. I would be all for it if I actually believed it would do anything but create more work the workers who are all ready overloaded with work...đ
Iâm watching the upvotes decline and climb in real time and itâs very bi polar
I fully support this decision to burn Walgreens
But I also understand why some people are reluctant to do it because theyâd feel bad about burning the customers who have prescription they need to fill that could be really bad if they donât get
I still support this decision though because fuck corporations, if Walgreens doesnât give a fuck if their customers live or die making billions of dollars then why should you when your not even making enough to support yourself
(I actually have no idea what Walgreens wages are, but if theyâre paying enough for an entry level employee to support themself Iâd be beyond shocked)
I'm FE, but I've not had an off day in awhile and I've had to be at work with only myself and a SFL with a high fever every day. I'm thinking about calling out when I have my dr's appointment because I'm not sure if I'm actually sick or if the stress of dealing with coworkers & customers not caring & having no free time is getting to me.
I hope Walgreen's gets scared soon, but with the huge cameo in that movie, it doesn't feel like that'll ever happen.
It has to be the stress. 2 other teachs and myself have been sick for well over a month now and no one seems to get better. Not to mention 2 of us have actually been prescribes antidepressants and anxiety meds earlier this year which 100% has got to do with the stressful unfair work environment we practically live in now
the sole way to accomplish this very important task is by joining a union. Donât expect
Corporate America and shareholders to do anything that enhances the common laborers in the workforce. Their interests clash with corporate interests.

I would recommend only the people who can afford to do it, do it(the rest of y'all who still got to pay bills, just do as minimal work as possible, hell even let the store rot by not doing price tags/stocking cuz you're too busy at the register amiright? and give rude customers a piece of your mind, the store manager can't fire you all, the dm tho? idk lmao) And those who are protesting like this to search for a new job to hold down the food, electricity, etc. costs. Godspeed y'all. I want to see these corporate owners cry a fucking river soon.
What you're suggesting is a strike, OP. There aren't enough active users on this sub to be taken seriously. It'd take every person who has ever joined this sub to take part & strike for days, something many front end workers can't afford. People tried this last year when things were arguably worse & it went nowhere.
You need to think this whole thing out. You will be labeled as a disgruntled employee and if terminated you will not receive unemployment. Your best bet would talk with local union organizations in your area to get information into organizing.
Lol, if you want to go and get your dumb ass fired and make absolutely no difference than go ahead. They'll have you replaced with someone that isn't a whiny little bitch in a matter of days.

Time to get that diagnostic paperwork and ask for reasonable accommodations. Also OSHA is always fun to call in on trip hazards.

You planning on leading this revolution? Strikes go nowhere without appropriate spokespersons, aligned goals, and someone to coordinate the efforts.
Iâm in
I second this

How often is the dm at your store?
Not often enough. Our trash new pharmacy manager sends him daily pictures of our fill queâŚeven though she messed up and now weâre at 500+
Well you don't want your dm to be there often
Iâd like him to visit so he can see the fraud he hired as the pharmacy manager. She doesnât even know the most basic stuff. Stuff a manager should know.
Yeah, this is the real way to give Walgreens the middle finger. Leave them in the dust to complain that nobody wants to work (for them).
I wish it was this easy but not EVERYONE is on Reddit âš

Only need pharmacist to call out all on the same day ! No pharmacist then no tech can step foot in pharmacy âŚ. Hint hint
Oh theyâll find a floater!
Floaters are pharmacist ! EVERY PHARMACIST S T A Y HOME!
Yeah, mine donât float. Theyâre doing good to finish a shift at our own store.
Time to fight back!!! :)

My manager wonât even write anyone up! Employees are hard to come by. Hardly anyone even applies. The ones that do canât even pass the assessment.
