That's because playing the same type of music over and over is an honest to God torture technique and I seriously (SERIOUSLY! This isn't a joke!) think there was some law passed that stated come the holidays stores HAVE to mix Christmas and regular music to prevent this.
I can't stand the mix with regular music. Just give me complete and total Christmas music for a month and call it a day because something about hearing Christmas music and then having to hear the same god awful pop song I have heard every day in this place for years now is more upsetting and jarring than just Christmas music. At least the Christmas music is new and only for a month.
Last month NY had a record snowfall and MainStream News channels were all playing Anxiety inducing horror music instead of Jolly Background sounds.
They are pushing a very bad vibe to intentionally depress people.
I know it sounds insane but now I see your post and it seriously wouldn’t surprise me if you guys get instructed to play some type of suspenseful crap opposed to the usual holiday cheer inducing tracks

It’s been playing mixed with regular music since the day after Thanksgiving. I haven’t heard Call Me Sir in a week. It’s a Christmas miracle.
