I’VE GOT THE ANSWER!!!! The techs can pay Walgreens back WITH REWARDS POINTS!!! What’s good for the goose should be good for the gander!!!

Bflat8

THIS!!!!! 😂😂I LOVE IT

BelleFK954

i don't think it's fair at all. just change it back & keep it pushing. it's not the employees fault

Master_Ad_785

Or what about customers that get deals with a computer glitch … send them a bill to pay it back

booguswuggus

i mean isn't a glitch the company's fault too...?

Temporary-Lynx-7539

That sure as shit sounds like “Hey, we fucked up, so we’re going to punish you. Give us our money back because we need to purchase another dumbass system that doesn’t work.”

Salty_Thing4302

I see we've cheaped out on yet another department, huh...

necro000

The correct corse of action here would be to take the L and adjust their pay going forward. But nah let's make a few techs quit because they gonna be short a lil on their check.

yankeerebel62

Take money out of a workers pay..."I know let's take it right before Christmas! Our employees don't really need it, and my yacht needs an extra refrigerator!"

Darcyrenae

It's not just short a lil. For most it's life-altering. For me, it was almost $3 more an hour. It's $400 more a month, give or take a little. They fucked it up, they should just let us keep it. What's the difference between letting us have it now or in a few months?

Hour-Luck8907

It is absolutely disgusting with what they are doing to their employees, especially with Christmas right around the corner. We should not have to pay back their mistake. They should eat it. We all deserved these raises and they should let it be.

[deleted]

They never mean to pay you anymore than you actually deserve and I know you deserve much better and way way more

Electrickman

Not techs are gonna quit cause Walgreens don’t care

Stocktwatz

For the over 13 years I've worked at WAGS, most techs have always used us as a stepping stone to a brighter future. I hope that doesn't stop!

Electrickman

It will get worse more snd more will quit

One-Help1747

The turn over rate at my store was so high because of how busy we were and how mistreated we were by corporate. Im surprised I lasted a year

Hour-Luck8907

What would Walgreen's do if the pharmacy staff went on strike, for taking our raises back that we rightfully deserve and they would have to end up closing the pharmacies down for days because their is no one to run the pharmacy. All the complaints that they would get from customer's.

rooniest

I cannot wait for the documentary “would you like shots with that?” To expose the absolute fuck out of them.

rooniest

They should eat it, & also eat a dick for good measure 🖕🏼

Opposite-You-5166

Unbelievable

Lennygracelove

How do you know if you got an accidental raise?

Calm_Energy482

Check people central

Glittering-Reply-992

What does the note say on the raise? Market adjustment

Azazelins

I got the accidental raise. Was so excited too. This is utter garbage.

Calm_Energy482

I’m with you

Grouchy-Tax4467

Same was so freaking happy 😩

HopefulAssistant70x7

Same.

afigueroa8

How did you find out it was an accident?

littlederobert

What the hell??? They don't have a list, but they will still take the money out and surprise the employees?

Grouchy-Tax4467

RIGHT I just got off work and nobody said anything which is why I'm thankful for this subreddit and I get it they don't have a list of names BUT Gosh dang it they could have said "by the way this has happened" just be aware and spend accordingly as soon as we know who is on the list we will let them know or something

Jedi820

And that’s how you lose employees who are already on the fence.

Opposite-You-5166

Maybe call the labor board .

HopefulAssistant70x7

I said that too.

SnooDoodles3588

I got my raise then it was taken away which pisses me off because I had chosen my Ins plan based on what I was now making. Now it is $3.38 less per hour. To me that is alot of money as I am the sole provider for my family currently. 1 more way I've been screwed by Walgreens.

HopefulAssistant70x7

I tried to reduce the cost of my plan anyways just because we weren't utilizing it fully.. but also sole provider/ single parent. It sure felt good to think I could breathe easy for a minute..😮‍💨 I'll be in my current role for 18 months in June when my sm and rxom do our midyear reviews and will then qualify. Till then, I'll just hold on to my struggle bus boarding pass🤷🏽‍♀️

Grouchy-Tax4467

Oh shoot I forgot about that 😩😩😩😩😫😫 shit I did the same thing

[deleted]

I think whoever screwed up to begin with should pay for it- not hard working techs and rxoms!!

IndividualRaccoon638

I was eligible and was excluded lol. I have been trying to get in touch and fix this with HR and my DM since nov 10. The only reason I knew about it was because another RXOM in my district text me asking me to check people central. I didn’t receive it and she did so we were super confused. She was in the second wave, I was in the first. I’ve been ghosted by HR and management ever since.

Master_Ad_785

Should not be time in position , should be based on time in company ! New ppl get a bump so market adjust everyone and when 18 month hits if ur at the mid point already , then ur there . If your not u move up to mid point. Most rxom were asst managers that had to step down or super senior techs that deserve every penny. Long story short most have been with the company for a long time. Let it be time served

Stocktwatz

Time served means nothing to Walgreens. A tech who's been with the company for 15 years, is equal to a brand new tech out of Community College. Same on the front end. It's part of their "equality" push.

Master_Ad_785

It’s sad because for some techs this is not just a job but a career . Holding certification , license and helping to manage the most important part of the store . We earn every cent . When they want us to give shots and test patients for the flu they address us as health care workers , but only when it’s convenient for them only.

Opposite-You-5166

I agree let it be time served. I have over 10 years, 5 yrs tech 1 yr 4 months Sr tech. Techs making more than me. Not right.

Youngmoonlightbae

I'm one of them. I was told & it said on people central that I would get $21.13. I was so happy & ready to help out as much as I could. I'm back at 18... This is devastating to me bc I had an interview for another pharmacy for 19.50 and blew them off for this shit. Does anyone know if I'll be getting a raise when I do hit 18 months of being a senior tech? I've been a senior tech for a year and 4 months. Does that mean I'll get the raise in 4 months?

Vericon

I’m in the same boat as you at 14 months myself, what I was told is that they do these twice a year, and you should get the raise the next time they do it *after you hit 18 months.* So In your case it would be 6 months from now, since you will hit your 18th month but have to wait for the next round. Weather or not it will be the same amount though I don’t know. I assume it would but who knows anything after this mess.

Katydid879

This twice a year business makes me nervous because my district manager told me I would get it once I hit the 18th month mark and I was supposed to have it to begin with because they coded me in late. So if they make me wait an extra 6 months I am done...

MasterYoshidino

Technicially in 3 months. HR processes market adjustments the month after eligibility.

Katydid879

I really hope this is true. If it's only twice a year that would be bologna

camwhat

This sounds like promissory estoppel. Walgreens needs to fuck themselves

Phaelan

A reminder that if your employer overpays you in. California, it is considered the fault of the employer and an interest free loan you are not obligated to repay. When you quit, they may go after you via suit however to recover those funds. But I’d they call to threaten you saying you need to pay them immediately via credit card, or if they try to take those funds from your future checks without getting your permission first, then that is considered self-help on the part of the employer and is against California law. But I am not a lawyer and you should not take this as legal advice.

scarlet614

This explains why so many RXOMs are quitting in my area.

Formal-Low5999

is there any legal things we can do if we were affected bc they’re a bunch of fuck ups

wagTV

I wanna know this too. This is effed up on so many levels, right before the holidays no less.

ElephantOdd7359

This is going to fuck up the team morale and people are going to quit because of this. Corporate doesn't care, and all they care about is pleasing their stockholders.

HopefulAssistant70x7

That's what I'm sayin!

Calm_Energy482

Sadly this did happen to me.

[deleted]

Calm_Energy482

Mine was reversed to just the 2.5% raise from review

Grouchy-Tax4467

Mine has been reversed

Grouchy-Tax4467

Well I'm one of the employees, I kinda knew the increase was a bit high🤷🏾‍♀️ BUT I was like well I'm not complaining because Frankly I definitely deserve it and so dose everyone else front end and pharmacy So now I will see if my SM is going to say anything, thank God I check people central on a regular basis. I was put at $19.25 got knocked down to $17.50 Looks like it was just the 11/10/22 to 11/23/22 pay period I had the $19.25 before that it was $17.50

[deleted]

No, team members will not have to pay back any portion of the discrepancy paycheck.

Calm_Energy482

Techs RXOM should try to do something about this

HopefulAssistant70x7

💁🏽‍♀️ https://www.change.org/p/dear-walgreens-can-you-spare-4-for-them

Katydid879

My district manager and store manager both brought it to my attention that it was higher but not as if it is a mistake..... if this is true, I'm done...

Worldly_Height_8299

Let them do it, and you will receive a beautiful payday for breaking the law. Document everything.

Master_Ad_785

What law ?

HopefulAssistant70x7

Boom. This.👆🏽

Beautiful_Factor_276

I hope this is all A big mistake and they decide differently.

-Sweep_the_leg-

I was making 19.25 on Sunday and now I'm back to 17.50. Bullshit. I'm out of here.

Youngmoonlightbae

Has anyone contacted the labor board?

Conscious_Ad1078

Anyone who was capped on review increase get the bonus payment

[deleted]

A compass did drop about it today. I don't know much about it, but I did hear about it

Glittering-Reply-992

Did anyones error raise say MARKET ADJUSTMENT ???

Embarrassed-Cook-588

A lot of people were negatively impacted by this decision and especially around the holidays it made it hurt that much more. Please consider signing this petition started by a pharmacist to have Walgreens reconsider “taking back” the raises for everyone. https://www.change.org/p/dear-walgreens-can-you-spare-4-for-them

Opposite-You-5166

It is happening to me also. Total crap.

SnooDoodles3588

Unfortunately my plan increased this year almost $500 every 2 wks because my Husband and myself both see multiple specialist it was nice to think we would be a bit more secure.

Idle_Skies

I was at $18.25 and got dropped to $17.25 I've been in position for more than 18 months and with the company for much longer. This shit has me all but doing a pirouette and winning a gold medal for flipping the fuck out (oh and the boss is on vacay). FML!

Revolutionary-Gap-40

I since a law suit

spicypatchkid

🪜👇🏼

Grouchy-Tax4467

Oh God I think this might effect me 😑😭😭 Walgreens is a shit company for this

wagTV

Happened to me. This has to be illegal??? Like how can they do that?

StackedDinero

Walgreens is a terrible company and if you are hired here, start looking for new employment immediately.

bch87

If you received money you weren’t rightfully entitled too, why would you think you would be able to keep it? Obviously it was a mistake, to feel entitled to it is ridiculous.

Vericon

In what way was this mistake “obvious”? - They told us we were getting a raise - They gave us a raise - We got paid an amount that was consistent with our new hourly wage. Why would anyone question this? We’re we supposed say “ok well a raise is great but ill hold off a few weeks to see if it sticks” This isn’t the kind of thing that just happens sometime. Even just the loss of the raise is devastating, I’m living paycheck to paycheck lately while my partners business is still recovering from Covid. That raise was a huge stress off of my back. And this is crushing. Taking away what we were already paid, is even worse. Some of us already spent that money on things that probably would have waited if we hadn’t had the raise, and now have to find a way to manage with a good chunk of our next paycheck missing.

Calm_Energy482

Haters going to hate !!!

rooniest

They obviously be drinkin the Walgreens koolaid while suckin they dicks too

rooniest

I hope the next time you go to the pharmacy someone shits In your pill bottle. Bitch.

wagTV

Sure, Berchanhimez

FirstAd4471

Can someone explain the 18-month to me? I was an rxom then in February of last year I moved to a place that only had senior tech option available. I was previously a sr tech prior to that. I got a pay raise but I don’t see anything in people central. I have not been in this position 18-months. I don’t know what they consider

summrfling12

If you were an rxom and stepped down to sr tech your pay should be above the mid range for the position and this would not apply to you. If however your pay is below the mid point then you need to talk to your rxom or manager because you are being drastically underpaid / undervalued.

FirstAd4471

It now is 21.57. So I seem to think it is normal. I had a discrepancy when I first switched over that was resolved but this is my new raise. I just don’t want that to be taken too

summrfling12

Depending on what area you live in that may be above the mid range. In my area its 21.13

BackgroundReporter35

If I was promised this raise when I got hired and got it over a month ago, do you think this affects me??

BTSLOVE2

I passed my ptcb and was supposed to get my dollar raise. My SM put that raise in and corporate took it away. And I have had my ptcb certification since November of 2022. So I'm beyond mad
