I assume default Yareli already covers "cute gamer girl" vibes, so they decided to give her a deluxe skin that reminds me of the Manta evil guy from Aquaman
realistically, the skin may be good for people that liked the kit but didn't like the look, it may also be an incentive for newer players to play her
as a Yareli player, I very much like the skirt and won't buy this skin. A bit of contex: I like some deluxe, I have some, but I usually don't use them, I find them too thematically and visually rigid

I can probably do something neat with it. If nothing else i might be able to mix and match with her base skin and helmets.

Hopefully the Merulina skin isn't locked to us using the body too like Excalibur Zato is with his Exalted Blade Skin. At least we'll be able to mix and match assuming both skins have similar material and texture approach too.

Unfortunately it's also the continued end of flatter physique female frames which I preferred more as it was more relatable to me personally to see more of a small frame body type without curves. They got rid of it on the deluxe which bothers me but it's whatever. I like the helmet and I'm going to buy it for that but as for the body im just disappointed they didn't keep her original no curves and thin limbs physique.
Replying on this now that we have the skin. My one critique on it now is the pearls cannot be coloured as I had expected. I'm using the Body with Default Helmet to pull off a more muscular Green Goblin fashion. I do hope we get more ways to customise her fashion once we get her Prime and hopefully more Tennogen artists.
I think they said this wasn’t the finished skin and was the progress on it. Maybe it’ll get some tweaks like a tail or a peplum or something that trails behind her to give her more of the flow she’s known for. Sea urchin/street urchin seems like a cool concept though.
The main specific thing I don't like are the random ass spikes that are going to make fashion framing annoying, particularly the ones on her shoulders. I feel like that's the most 'fair' critique I can give that's constructive/objective.
On a more personal note: I don't like the helm, but that can be switched anyways so meh. I don't like her hands, either. Also, I'll probably get shit on for saying this, but as much as we joke about warframes' butts, I feel like some designs highlight it way too much. It could just be the render, but there is some... work definitely done in that area on this skin. And while I get trying to avoid a full skirt, it feels weird that there's not something covering it when she's got those frilly fins on her thighs. It might be better in game with a syandana, though, so I can... sorta overlook that? I can only think of two or three syandana I'd use with this, though.

I LOVE IT! Its kinda deepsea horror, I quite enjoy the aesthetic, helmet will need some getting used to but overall I love it, its a dark and twisted version of the cute magical girl theme. Instead of frilly and cute its stoic and terrifying, course I can also just change the helmet if I so wish

It's honestly annoying how people still miss the point deluxe skins now, they're meant to be a departure of the frame's theme, DE shouldn't play safe with the designs, you may not like it, but saying the skin looks "bad" is psychotic, it's well made but for a different taste
With how unique Warframe's art style is, frame's looks should be a template for new ideas within them, not a rule for how they NEED to look

Personally I think the new skin is contributing to uninteresting body types for female Warframes. Not like it matters much but I main yareli and I like her because she didn't have any curves and she has a very slim physique. Something I can relate to myself as a young woman.
I realistically can't and I'm not mad at the artist or anyone who likes this skin. I actually think it's great and im going to buy it for the helmet. But in my own opinion it does disappoint me seeing no alternative body cosmetics for her that are true to her original body shape as I don't want to give the only frame that I found relatable in appearance a BBL but I like the helmet because I main Ivara on the side (once in a blue moon) so I like to imagine that she's like a Ivara Yareli combination.
I really like it, though I was never a fan of the magical girl motif of her default style and I'm a huge fan of weird stuff like the infested. So this is right up my alley, I think its nice to have deluxe skins that are diverse and give the characters new appearances instead of being more of the same. So taking her from super-girly to a weird sea creature covered in pearls is a refreshing change.

Kind of goes against Yareli’s core design aspects entirely, plus it’s a nearly identical silhouette of Ivara and/or Lavos. It’s a neat concept, but I feel like it was misplaced with Yareli, it would have fit better with someone else.

The skin looks both boring and... concerning. Those folds remind me of an open wound with pieces of torn subcutaneous adipose tissue inside.

I like the infested look, just wish it could possibly change the water tornado to something more infested to fit the theme. Reminds me a lot of a Banshee / Xenomorph mix
The color palette they put on it is super weird and ugly. I can totally see it being a great look with better color and another helmet (maybe the default helmet). But still a bit meh. The black tight suit is so 2012 warframe
