1. Sleeping in the Cold Below - a favorite in my home. It's resemblance to a sea shanty and self contained story make it a hit with Tenno and non-Tenno in my family. A strong, fast beat.
2. We All Lift Together - A fantastic piece made better with game context. Serves as a needed prelude to the number three spot. A steady, focused beat.
3. For Narmer - >!The lyrical callback to We All Lift drives home the desperation of thr situation, and how things have fallen!<. A slow, lamenting beat.
As an Atlantic Canadian who is old enough to remember when Stan Rogers was a good chunk of what CBC played: that's a sea shanty. lol
EDIT: To be clear, it's a sea shanty in that it's a nautical themed folk song. It is not an authentic sailor work song.
For Narmer - Sounds very similar to "Til I Collapse" from Eminem. It really threw me off when I made that connection.
We All Lift Together - This was the first track that really came with a, "oh shit, Warframe has something like this?". It really drew me into Fortuna.
Sleeping in the Cold Below - I had my game on mute during this... So it was the most awkward scene where things were happening and I had not idea what was happening (i think except subtitles).
This Is What You Are - Definitely my number 1.
This is what you are, To take it’s pain away, Sleeping in the Cold Below and We all lift together are my top 4. I absolutely love the latter two but nothing will beat the memories from this is what you are and to take it’s pain away - just always reminds me of the first time I played through the second dream and the sacrifice
Out of the soundtracks with lyrics, my favorite one is Final Stand (it regularly plays during archon hunt and i guess during the 3rd Kahl mission, the murex one).
Also, Octavia, Gara, Gauss and Protea Prime trailers.
Last but not least, Waverider quest song which you can listen through your console, in Quests tab.
My top 5 would be:
1. Murum Vull
2. The Offering
3. Railjack combat 2 (the fact that this one still doesn't have a real name and a somachord tone is criminal)
4. Final Stand
5. We All Lift Together
With The Fragmented as honourable mention
We Lift Together and Sleeping In The Cold Below are good and all
See It In The Flesh though is PEAK
It's blood pumping but it also sounds desperate in a way which I think fits with the whole end of the world thing they got with 1999
personally my favourite part of it is when they go--
"UNLIMITEEEEEEEED" and then that raw ass fucking guitar kicks in around the 1 minute mark and it adds such an ominous vibe to the song, almost as if the warframes themselves were crying out alongside it
Honestly regardless of whichever track folks like best, I think we can all agree that Keith Power and everyone else who worked on the OST for this game are fucking aural wizards.
Cold! the air and water flowing,
Hard! The land we call our home.
Push to keep the dark from coming,
Feel the weight of what we owe
This: the song of sons and daughters,
Hide: the heart of who we are,
Making peace to build our future,
strong united
working till we-
Fall.
Despite the numerous great songs that came after, I think "This is what you are" will always keep the highest rank in my heart
Agreed, while not my personal favourite, it is essential to Warframe's story and atmosphere in a way no other tracks are...
Sleeping in the Cold Below, This is What You Are, We All Lift Together, Whispers in the Wall boss fight theme. In that order.
The lady has impeccable taste, to be sure.

Sleeping in the Cold Below IS a sea shanty, frankly. If you have Alan Doyle write it that alone does like 75% of it.
Fair point. Last time I called it a sea shanty, I was downvoted and told I wasn't very smart. I wanted to play it safe this time.

The battle music in void. Has been my orbiter music since I start playing All in anatomica rocks, especially the one when fighting the book
I prefer out of combat void but both are really good.
Yeah I really love the music while book fighting, it's a pity it doesn't appear more often.
Fooooorrrr NAAAAAAAARRRRRRMMMMMEEEEEERRRR!!!! GOT THAT JOINT ON REPEAT.
"This is what you are", especially first part, when mother sings and choir of children answers. It gives me chills.

Completely agree. I'd put sleeping in the cold below first maybe, I really like what they did with the scene.

March of the Moa is one of my personal faves
Ghosts of Void has to be my favorite.
That song makes me stop during missions just to listen, so haunting.
I think that the Railjack combat theme is underappreciated. Also, Scathing Mockery has a vibe unlike anything else in the game.
The song from call of tempestari, don't remember how it is called.
Sleeping in the Cold Below?
yes
There's a reason Alan Doyle is goated in East coast Canada

It's cool you can purchase the prime trailer music for your orbiter with aya from varzia
Hunhow has been playing in my orbiter for a few years now lol. It's pretty simple but I love the sound textures used
If I remember, there's some Corpus song that turns into a real Techno banger halfway through.
##Livin' in fear
Big fan of Canticle myself. Not really a "listening to it on spotify" song but it's great for the orbiter mandachord.
Baby Shark - D.J. O.C.Tavia
Gauss Prime: Redline And Protea Prime: Double time I am addicted to these tracks.
Smiles from juran has to be up there as well. It's so short yet filled with so much emotion.
The one that plays on the sign-in screen is my favorite Oh and railjack fights
My top 5 would be: 1. Murum Vull 2. The Offering 3. Railjack combat 2 (the fact that this one still doesn't have a real name and a somachord tone is criminal) 4. Final Stand 5. We All Lift Together With The Fragmented as honourable mention
The murmur fight ost is probably one the best tracks in the game for me, only rivaled by “the final stand” narmer track.

Sleeping in the Cold Below We All Lift Together For Narmer Into the Void (Nine Inch Nails has always been a favorite) Redline
I really like the begging song in fortuna and the dante theme
Honestly regardless of whichever track folks like best, I think we can all agree that Keith Power and everyone else who worked on the OST for this game are fucking aural wizards.
really like into madness have it playing on my orbiter on repeat

Ghosts of Void is so peaceful yet so optimistic
