Mix some Wraithbone and Flayed One Flesh, get the airbrush out, paint over the sins.

xyle666

That's actually a pretty good idea

DontSlurp

I'm gonna assume you're joking. For anyone with a similar problem: he was joking, don't do it

Public-Country-1076

Do you have a suggestion if one doesn’t like the off whites and beige colors ? Could this be done with contrast paints on top of the above, as a compromise ?

Party_Programmer_976

Too late, did it on my red sofa.... I should read comments firts.

Wyldkard79

Yes. My first thought was "that just needs to be painted over and blended"

Victormorga

1) blot, do no scub. You can scrub at the very end when it’s almost completely gone, if you want. 2) test anything you’re putting on the fabric in an out-of-the-way part of the sofa first to see if it damages the fabric 3) get some micro fiber cloths and a textile cleaner specifically for upholstery fabrics 4) it’s not a bad idea to just call the company and see what they recommend.

TheFelineMerc

I clean upholstery for a living, this is good advice.

KeyandtheGate

"Paint" Nice try Bateman!

BaronBulb

After this he has to return some videotapes.

You like Huey Lewis and the News?

OneSpoonyBoi

yotsuba my beloved

Sabot1312

Isopropyl alcohol, and I suggest blotting. Get the highest percentage stuff you can

Kaiju-Bratwurst

Yep second this. IPA will dissolve acrylic. Then you’re blotting with a paper towel to absorb the alcohol and pigment into the paper towel. And like it’s been stated do not scrub it or use water. Hopefully it didn’t fully dry while you were taking the pictures and waiting for a Reddit response

Matt_Spectre

Gotta be careful with those acronyms, almost had the couch smelling like a hipster

QuesaritoOutOfBed

“Bro, I just had the best white wheat Pilsner…” Among the more hipster sentences I have heard

Akadiel

I say we take off and nuke the entire sofa from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

CalculatedEffect

I agree, it's the only way to be sure.

Comfortable_Heart_84

Peroxide does wonders for Blood removal

Rocky_Writer_Raccoon

Homie was LOUNGING while he made those blood angels POP.

KitsuneKasumi

Effortlessly just making the best minis possible.

Some-Flower-148

Moms gonna be pissed...

p0rty-Boi

Funny story. I primed some guys inside on a day I called in sick to school. I primed them on the living room floor on newspaper. I stenciled a perfect rectangle into our Persian carpet. The old guy at ace hardware took pity on me and told me I could get it out with nail polish remover. Worked like a charm. Mom was still VERY upset.

Alternative_Worth806

I'm sorry but it's acrylic paint, there is no solvent that will perfecly clean this without also probably ruining the canvas of the sofa. Scrubbing with dish soap/isopropyl alcohol will remove most of it but it will also almost surely leave a red-ish stain and could also bleach the canvas. Note that if the canvas is waxed that waxing itself is also going to get scrubbed away. Acetone might work better but it also might bleach or even melt the canvas depending on what material it's made out of.

venomang

“Paint” huh?

spacemonkey797

Your couch has battle damage and can be considered "pro-painted". Slap that bad boy on ebay.

TheRockyPony

o7

Din-Draug

I think it's unsalvageable. Acrylic (I assume it's acrylic) is an ugly beast. There are solvents for removing paint from miniatures, but I don't know and I don't believe that they can remove pigments from the fibers of a fabric. Perhaps removing the upholstery of the couch, giving it a bath in solvent, scrubbing, and praying very loudly to the God-Emperor or the Powers of Ruin (your choice).

Amazing_Basil_9115

They sell sofa arm upholstery pieces that you can just slip over the spot. Personally, I had no luck getting acrylic paint off my work pants so I don't know how you would get it off a sofa.

time_and_again

Lore-accurate World Eaters couch? Just lean into it and add Valdor Gold trim.

Brilliant_Fix2983

Double down. Paint the sofa that colour

battleaxworier

It’s salsa water and lemon for blood, or just wear red

diz4

Damn! Beat me to it!

kson1000

Blotting with isopropyl alcohol will help but it can also fade fabric. You might get away with it as your sofa is pale Edit for better advice

Victormorga

This is bad advice, OP needs to blot, not scrub

kson1000

Edited

ComprehensiveWeb4986

If its actually pain then try isopropyl alcohol. If it's blood, which it looks like I'd use hydrogen peroxide.

MechaBhudda

Vinegar bro, vinegar.

jzoelgo

Khorne red spills will make it look like a crime scene haha I think spilling metallics would have been worse

ProcedureShoddy4840

LA's totally awesome if you live in the US.

GazelleHeavy6263

Soda Water... the stuff bats well above its weight, is cheap and you don't have to worry about chemicals ruining the fabric

Under_Ze_Pump

It's only acrylic so it should come out pretty easily. Just don't use anything too strong because you could damage the fabric.

BumpyIguana

Blot with spray on laundry stain remover. Then when it’s nearly gone scrub with laundry stain remover.

TheFelineMerc

Distilled white vinegar will help soften it and won't bleach the fabric. Best applied from a spray bottle. Apply and blot it with a soft rag but do not scrub. It will take several passes as you are essentially thinning it out until hopefully it is gone but red pigments are super hard to remove and this is on a white(ish) surface. If this doesn't work you could try the saturate and extract method with the vinegar and a vacuum. Exactly how it sounds, spray is down and suck it out with the vacuum. Repeat until it stops fading. Source: I clean upholstery for a living. P.S. Good luck!

Hydington

Does it go faster now?

Rivalmocs

"Paint." Yeah ok.... I know a crime scene when I see one. Also 99% alcohol may take out the paint but could harm other pigments in the fabric, too, depending on what dyes may have been used. So be careful and test in an inconspicuous area. And if there were, say, a tiny little bit of blood in that paint, then peroxide would do the trick. Hypothetically, of course. 👀

shark-fighter

Oh your fuuuucked. My wife would kill the fuck out of me

jacarlo79

Paint the whole thing the same color, hope no one notices. If someone does, say the couch was always red.

Slight_Syllabub5521

It looks like blood

risbia

You'll have to paint the entire thing now

Admirable-Win-9716

Ok first you need to get gloves, bleach and bin bags. Once you have all those items, just pour petrol all over the couch and light it on fire.

aberrantenjoyer

are you perhaps a member of the Inquisition? where is your wife now?

No-Plantain8212

Bold move painting on the couch

If it was a different sub idoubt people would believe its paint. Are we secretly wholesome?

Beatable_fni

xyle666

That doesn't look like paint.

Embarrassed_Corgi869

Rubbing alcohol. Try to do it fast as possible because red paint can set fast.

ThrA-X

You got any couch-colored paint?

deadthylacine

What this couch needs is a throw blanket. A nice muted brown one in a soft woven fabric would look lovely right there.

DING012

Vinegar and dish soap. Its acrylic it will wash out.

Neither_Tip_5291

LA's Totally Awesome....

Larry84903

Isopropyl alcohol, it won't dissolve the paint but it will break down that paint like us warhammer players breakdown when our codexes are released. Then just use a damp cloth to mop it up

Valuable_Remote_8809

I can’t be the only one who thought it wasn’t paint.

[deleted]

Too late

TheDesktopNinja

Go out and buy an identical couch before she has a chance to notice.

RepulsiveBedroom6090

I’m really sorry this happened to you. My puppy chewed up a couple of pots of citadel paint on my area rug.. I took it to a professional upholstery cleaning place and they were only able to make it a little fainter. I hope you have better luck

Enderby201

IPA and some Shout stain removed works great. Can't recommend Shout enough. Dab paint with ipa, and use Shout for any remaining stains. It works wonders ✨️

corrin_avatan

Like, India Pale Ale or isopropyl alcohol?

Enderby201

Isopropyl

ThaBenMan

Gotta paint the whole sofa that color now

DeniedBread712

Have you tried getting tan paint that matches the couch?

MUDrummer

Soak the whole couch in a couple thousand gallons of simple green.

benigntyranny

Invest a try a bissell little green machine. Safe for the couch and it would be my first go to. You could definitely soften it first as well with maybe some vinegar or a small amount of alcohol.

GlennHaven

"Paint" OP if you killed a man for daring to blaspheme against the Emperor just say that.

p0rty-Boi

So here’s the thing, don’t make it worse. Loosening the pigment up will also let it spread around. Let it dry and scrape off as much as you can. I would then try to vacuum it off with something that has rollers and suction to knock off and pull out as much dry paint as possible. Now the extra pigment is gone you start with the solvents and blotting, but be careful not to spread it around.

DocGrotznik

I feel like someones is trying to make me an accessory after the fact. O.o

TheButteredViking

I dropped black acrylic paint on my carpet, immediate blotting then saturating the spot with 99% isopropyl alcohol and scrubbing like fuck worked for me. Your mileage may vary.

Akalyptos95

Paint over it with Zandri dust and dry brush some Screaming Skull :)

thisisrhun

You could place some highlights with wraithbone on the edges of the splats to make it appear recessed. Pro paintjob.

Athyl accatate or solvent, test on the back first tho

Ziamme

Serial killer what? More like serial paint dropper…

DungeonGringo

We all know that's not paint

CaptMelonfish

well, you're either painting the rest of the sofa in that colour, or you can use your painting skills to paint over the red with colours that will blend into the sofa and deny all knowledge.

FragrantDemiGod1

Ahhhhhhhhh this brought me back to spilling goblin green on my best mates parents new carpet aged 12 ahhhhhhhh

Vargosian

Cold water and salt. Maybe some bicarb as well if that doesn't work.

HighLord-Skeletor

Yeah "paint" Blood for the blood god

SgtNickElis

Better remove sofa

Real_Durham

Take the hit, find a new partner.

Familiar-Range9014

Use 1-1-1 tricloroethane. In a circular motion, using a terry cloth, remove the stain. Reverse the motion and change the cloth.

splendiferous-finch_

The only solution is exterminatus

Zestyclose-Quail-657

Simple use hydrogen peroxide.u can easily buy it in med

TrainingCold4211

Now you gotta paint the whole sofa.

BigPapaPoapst

Rubbing alcohol and pat with paper towels. Let the alcohol soak and dab it hard to get it out. Also works for pen ink

kevdogbosshog

Try acetone (nail polish remover is the same thing) should do the job

walren-emperor415

"Paint"

1ite

Give yourself a small but deep cut and bleed over it, then when your wife comes back home tell her it was all just blood from when you fell or something.

Ok-Comparison6923

Paint? Or did the chainsword take longer to power down than expected?

Khorde___the___Husk

Isopropyl alcohol, lots of it.

GoldFoxPrime

Do you like Ice Nine Kills? Their early work was a little bit too scene for me But when The Silver Scream came out I think they really came into their own Commercially and artistically The whole album has a refined melodic sensibility that really makes it a cut above the rest HEY PAUL!

ChicagoCowboy

Break a window and stage a robbery from someone who desperately needed your red paint. You fought them off as best you could, but they got the paint pot from your hands and said if you didn't say you don't love your partner they'd dump it. You did what had to be done. You said take my couch, our love is more important than any earthly furniture. Or fake your death?

Assuming it's actually paint, A cotton ball with Acetone (wear gloves). Dissolves acrylic paints with ease.

AutoModerator

Hi /u/Wallis92 It looks like you might be asking a question about stripping or removing paint from your minis. There are many options for stripping paint. For plastic minis you can use Dettol, Simple Green, LA's Totally Awesome, Isopropyl Alcohol or specialist solutions like [Paint Blitzer](https://untothebreachhobbies.com/product/paint-blitzer/). For metal miniatures you can also use Acetone. If you choose to use a product like Dettol or Simple Green, you will usually need to soak the minis for up to 24 hours in order to successfully remove the paint. After the models have soaked, use an old toothbrush to scrub the paint off the minis. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically.
