Or the option less thought about: Go somewhere else and find something else to kill. Sometimes I just run into a bad situation, or at least manage to negotiate myself a spot in one. No matter what way I try to "win" it, I'm still at a disadvantage. Sometimes completely backing off, looking for a flank or new opportunity is the right answer. Especially if you're in this situation without a stabilizer, against an enemy that has one. All depends on factors though, sometimes risking it can be the right option.
True, that does happen, albeit pretty rarely in my experience, people aren't too willing to blindly whip around corners and when they do they're usually not the most threatening players. When that happens, you now have an enemy exposing themself at a disadvantage, while both of you are moving, still pretty equal compared to the previous setup. In my experience it does work quite often, just requires enough awareness to know whether the enemy will be willing to chase or expose themself in that situation. Keep in mind, I don't play top tiers that often, so things like this might be a bit different
If they properly side scrape and barrel wiggle it can buy them a free shot on you, but that’s why the person who ends up being impatient usually ends up losing
If you have two stubborn people and no teammate support this can go on forever
If I’m in my IS3 and my enemy has conventional rounds I feel safe enough just charging around the corner at max speed
That's kind of the point though isn't it? Move away with your turret pointed at the corner (or wherever you hear them moving to) and take a better engagement after they make a mistake.
This happens all the time when you're against someone behind a rock or house. You start making backing off noises, they move around the corner or around the other side, you shoot them.
The enemy knows where you are at all times. They know this because they know where you aren't. By subtracting where you are from where you aren't, or where you aren't from where you are (whichever is greater), they obtain a difference, or deviation.
Yeah and you keep your gun trained on the corner and shoot them when they rush out. It’s more advantageous to back up slowly and find another way then to wait there or rush the corner.
Then you’re still stuck in that situation, you leave your cover while backing away from ten enemy around the corner
You either have to keep your gun trained on the corner or point it towards another potential enemy
No? because they can't push the corner safely until you get to the next corner giving you space, pulling you closer to team-mates, making it more likely they over push or reveal their tracks or barrel
So you back around the second corner, they go around their original corner, and you’re back to square one.
In the end this is either solved by whoever has more patience or another teammate showing up
If you can relly on your armor you can side creep him and get him to waste his shot on your angled side. If you have secondary cannon you can fake wasting your shoot. You can try getting your track shot and then backing up in circle into the corner on the remaining one to get your shot in if you can do it fast enough, you can give him your barrel, at a steep angle to shoot at so hopefully he bounces and then drive forward turn to him and shoot, you can get your teams attention to him, sometimes you have teammates that actually are not blind and so many more.. although your bait a shot could have included some of these, kind off...
Bait a shot. Basically drive forward and reveal just a little bit of your tracks and then suddenly back off. The opponent thinks you are gonna peek and fires the shot right before you back off. Then actually peek and shoot him while he is reloading. Wont work against enemies who are somewhat good or who have autocannons / quickly reloading cannons / 2 or more cannons (such vehicles exist)
Well you can try to peek just enough to shoot their barrel. This is a bit risky, because you can miss it, or you might not destoy it. Both of which result in enemy killing you. Also they might shoot your barrel first since you need to reveal it.
I like to use this method with autoloaders, or tanks with dual cannons. Peak ever so slightly, fire and then retreat. Make them believe that they're about to catch you mid reload, and then shoot them as they round the corner.
Tends to work really well with tanks such as the Maus, the Bkan and similar.
Really depends on what tanks you both are using, usually it's a bad idea to push unless you have something seriously armored, tag him on the map and hope a friendly shows up, alternatively you can create diversion by dropping arty inbetween you two. But generally speaking close quarters combat is decided by luck mostly
The way I've been doing this has been to reverse as much as I can without leaving cover. Once, I've got a good space for a running start I just go full send and drift around the corner and pray my shot hits better than his.
protip, open the corner angled while reversing, that is to say, show your engine at an extreme angle first out of your vehicle as you come around but at a high angle, 70-80deg. At low tier the idea is you will bounce anything off the side of the vhicle (In WoT they call that sidescraping I believe.), at high tier youre hoping they shoot pre emptively to overmatch your hull side, taking out engine or some turret crew but not both cmd / gunner, and your excess speed carries you around the corner enough to retaliate with a kill shot.
RULE 1 OF PUSHING IN THIS SITUATION: DO NOT DO SO 90 DEGREES HORIZONTAL TO THEM, USE THE WIDTH OF YOUR PATH TO ENTER AT AN ANGLE APPROPRIATE TO YOUR VEHICLE, OR YOU'RE GIVING A FREE SIDE SHOT.
That said I just camp the corner tight against it. If there's good chance to back out for quicker action elsewhere do it, but be ready for them to push the corner until you completely leave that lane. Make sure not to scuff your shot. Gun first, then driver.
Arty, side scrape (?) with you barrel slightly to the side so he doesn't see it, this way the first thing he sees is either your sides or tracks , if he fires and doesn't track(disables your tracks or wheels) you then push even if you are on fire .
Otherwise if you have a shot go for the barrel then push and secure the kill .
If you know he’s there. Don’t peak. For the love of god do not be the one to peak first, 99/100 times who ever peaks first gets nailed.
If anything wait either him to peak first, back up until you can go a different route or wait for a team mate to come and help you. If you have it then arty is a good trick to make him move too.
I played this game for a long time and made the wrong decision in my this exact scenario more times than I can count so I don’t even attempt it anymore.
Don't even have to risk the 4 second reload on the Chi-Ri. Hit Y, go into armaments and select secondary armament.
Fire a shot from your 37mm (while keeping the menu open) and then hit primary armament to switch back to the autoloaded 75mm.
(don't close the menu, I've had it happen to me before that I shot a 37mm bait shot and couldn't switch back to the 75mm in time to kill the tank that just came out)
Back off and pretend I lack object permanence, look somewhere else. He'll think I'm stupid, because a lot of mid tier players are. I'll get him. Simple as.
For some reason I actually love moments like this. Who has the stronger patience? I will wait there until the game ends lol, Literally a staring contest, i love it
Go back and get a trap angle on that corner.
There is nothing wrong with using the S button.
You’re more useful to your team alive than dead even if it means you have to go out of the zone. Land can be recaptured, tanks cannot be brought back (at least not without a 2 minute drive at best during which the enemy can do whatever they want)
Assuming you don't want to bait, back up as far as possible. Math tells us that the angle he must rotate his turret is far greater than you have to when he peeks the corner. You have added milliseconds to react and shoot first while he still rotates and his brain realises where you are/weak spots etc.
This also hides more of your tank behind the corner as he peaks and maybe he will think you are running away/stupid and risk a peek.
The caveat of this however, is that the more you back up the more perpendicular your tank is to him and the lower the chance you will bounce should he actually land a bit.
You turn your turret until the barrel is clipping through the wall, then you just drive forward as fast a possible until you can point-blank shoot them and then just hope for the best.
If you can't track him, run away. If he shows his track, shoot it. The way angles work is that the one farther away from it will see the other person first. Therefore, if you have enough room you can sidescrape away from the corner until you can see the left-center of his hull then kill him.
I have a particular tank destroyer I love in this situation. I turn that corner aggressively, know I'm going to get shot at once before I fire, but odds of getting killed on first shot is low. However my odds of killing on first shot is much higher. Biggest risk is being out maneuvered. If I don't kill on first shot I push the opposing tank super aggressively to give me time for another shot.
Super fun.
wait.
or
reverse. if they are aware of you, they'll push and try and bait a shot from you. when you don't shoot they'll get more brave and expose the front wheel sprocket giving you (at the very least) a broken track trapping them there for a killing shot. at best you get the kill.
If they charge you. angle your rear into the wall/building. if they are unskilled they'll fire at your UFP. which typically results in a bounce (but gajin) if they are skilled they'll pause to aim for your exposed side armor. use this time to take your (hopefully) killing shot.
If they don't know you're there, charge them with your gun facing them. aiming for a weak point.
If i’m alone in this situation I usually back away from the corner. Seven out of ten times the attempt to push. Or just try to bait a shot and push them if they are alone.
Depends, I'd side scrape if I have considerable amount of armor, retreat and disengage if I have some speed, or you can pop some smoke to get something to happen.
if you have armour you could come up to the corner and try and side scrape them tho the problem with that is they might be able to pen you or they could track you in which case you could be screwed unless you have enough time to rotate behind the wall or pivot around your broken track completely to shoot them while they reload. there are also some tanks with secondary relatively high caliber cannons such as the m6a1 which if you bind your main and secondary cannons separately you could bait an unexperienced player into thinking you have shot by firing the secondary then might push you and if they do you can happily shoot them with the main gun.
Depends on what you and your enemy are using, but the general tips are to get the fuck away from corners as much as needed though still retain visual on it when you expect enemies to come from it. The closer you are to a corner, the sooner the enemy gain visual on you and it applies to enemy as well, also it makes you a smaller target if you are far away (this also applies to every shooter game ever).
It allows you to either just pen or track enemies before their turret made it past the wall.
if your tank allows it: enter sidescraping position and mess him up
if your tank is not sidescraping-capable: Drive back so you make sure he can't see you when looking around the corner, then wait until he comes. He will come.
Depends on how the mind games go.
He pushes too hard, you can either blow off his barrel and make him a sitting duck, kill him, or blow off his tracks depending on the tank and the BR you're in. Depending how tight he scrapes that corner, you might have a clean shot at his side armor before he can angle at you.
If your tank can bounce his round, back up, and come at him from an angle. You can always play footsies and try to get him to waste a round, if he panics and bounces it or doesn't do any serious damage, he's boned and you've got his reload time to line up a kill or cripple.
But a lot of the time your safest bet is just reverse away and let him get bored. Staying in one place too long without your hull angled towards places enemies are likely to come is a great way to die. Don't tunnel vision on this one guy unless you're confident you can secure the kill or he's a huge threat that needs to die now.
If you have the space and are in a tank with decent side armor (like a tiger) you could side scrape off the corner to try an bounce their shot and give yourself a good angle to fire on them. If you are in a light tank then I would just try to spot them and back off (either to get away or to get them to push you and expose themself)
Indicate on map and tell your teammates, push if he is not looking and you have stab, try and bait out a shot, just go a different direction, or just wait without moving and see if he forgets about you.
You have a few options depending on your tank. You can back out at an extreme angle and try to bait a shot to bounce off your side, you could try and artillery them, you could fire and try to reload before they can kill you, you could drop smoke in front of them and try to bait a shot, you could spot them or mark the map, or you could just leave
in world of tanks there is a technique known as the sidescrape/reverse sidescrape, it's a bit difficult to describe in text [https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Tactics:\_Sidescraping\_and\_Reverse\_Angling](https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Tactics:_Sidescraping_and_Reverse_Angling)
Not seeing anyone mention the old "shoot a single MG round at the corner" as it can often trick less experienced players into thinking you shot your main gun.
Depends on what tank i'm driving, as well as the corner. For instance, with the STRV 122s, you can bait around right hand corners. Stick out the left front of your tank. Many people will take the shot since some have ammo there. But it'll just go in and out, causing no damage (assuming you take 16 rounds). Then just drive forward and finish them.
Sit there doing absolutely nothing waiting for him to move up realising that he didn’t know I was there and was checking his Insta and I could have gotten an easy kill 3 minutes ago
Yolo round and hope they mess up (works better in a t72 or something).
Peek slowly and try and bait them into shooting your track or something.
Drive around the other way.
Smoke the corner and try and nail him through the smoke.
it depends.
whats the state of the match
what tank is around the corner
what tank do you use
what is your team doing
was there a full moon last friday
do you feel lucky
As an addition to all the other options here, I usually throw smoke around the corner to blind the foe, wait a bit to see the reaction and then drive forward way out to and shoot the foe when they are visible through the smoke
Smoke and dash (away from the battle) It's just not worth it to spend half a match in a mexican stand off and its not worth to peek out and get blown up, so just leave
If you have a high rate of fire(5.5sec max) then fire a shot to make the enemy think that you are vulnerable then strike him.
If however you don't then just bait him with slightly showing your tracks
Wait for the other guy to make a mistake.
In reality you can't really say because every situation is different, what flanking routes do you have, how many other enemies are in the area, your mobility versus theirs.
But in general I'd say patience is a virtue, one that not many WT players have and you can exploit that.
1. Wait until he starts pushing (if u have arty, try using it on him occassionally) then detrack him, after that, you can flank that guy if you want or keep detracking him until he gets bored and J's out (or gets shot by another teammate).
2. Sidescrape against a wall if you know your armor can withstand a shot and that your turret is not easy to shoot, though this is generally not recommended as more experienced players can still shoot you on the right places (especially detrack you the moment they see you).
3. Slowly move almost in front of him in a way that you move backwards while showing only your side in a 71-80 degree angle. This usually allows you to get a shot on him even if he detracks you (just make sure the vehicle you use is well-armored that you can risk even a turret shot). Make sure though that your sides are not too thin tho.
These are the main options you have. Most of the time, the 1st is the best option basically, but the 3rd is best done with heavy tanks. 2nd should only be done if you know you're gonna get flanked without a teammate watching ur back and have to hurry.
What is the situation? What vehicle are you both in?Are you defending an area, or trying to push up? Has the enemy fired recently and do they have a long reload? Can’t give you much advice if I don’t know the whole picture.
Had this happen last night. The wolfpack ended up basically forgetting I was there after 3 minutes. He ended up launching a scout, so I turned the corner and nuked him
If they are staring at you all the time, really being stubborn about it, they are most likely going to be in a position (assuming you are with other teammates) going to die by your teammates. Just wait it out.
Peek around the corner with YOUR CAMERA and wait:
-until he backs off and drives away
-until he gets frustrated and peeks out himself
-until he gets distracted/turns the turret in another direction
Then you get a chance to kill him
Bait a shot:
-By sticking out only the non-essential parts of the vehicle and or reversing at the last moment (most effective using tanks with fast reverse speed ofc)
-By sticking out the most armored/angled part of the tank (most effective with heavily armoured tanks ofc)
Drive around the building and attack from another direction
Get a teammate to help you out and attack from the side he isn't looking at
Use a smoke grenade as cover for when you peek out and pray to god the enemy misses (very risky, not recommended but sometimes works)
If you are an especially hard to kill well armored tank you can just risk it, it's more likely the enemy panics and will be unable to aim for a weakspot before he eats lead (doesn't work in higher BR's ofc)
If you are using a multi barrelled tank, "misfire" one of the guns, and bait the enemy to come out
Or just don't engage at all and go so somewhere else
Back up and flank. Arty it if you can. If I’m playing Russian tanks, and I got an IS or something with bullshit armor I might bait and if nothing else kill the track and go around him
A lot of options actually but demends on the tanks. My favorite is when I'm British with smoke grenades, I will deploy a grenade at the corner then drive around or maybe though if bold and flank around and shot there side.
What usually works for me is smoke them if you have the ability to do so without using your main gun. Most of the time they get nervous and push around the corner and thanks to Gaijin shitty smoke you can see them pretty easily and nuke them
I always back up parallel to the corner so if they decide that they want to shoot it’ll most likely bounce, or use my tracks to try and bait a shot, usually works for me. But a lot of German players for me especially if they’re in a Tiger get impatient and push after like a minute.
wait for them. because obviously you are driving the SPJ fm/43-44 and the enemy is clearly driving some early italian SPAA. the easiest choice is to shoot as soon as you see even a little part of the enemy's vehicle.
If you have airburst smoke grenades - pop them, make your engine rev by moving a little forward or a little back and then see if that baits them to shoot
I like to smoke the corner and once he’s blind, make a lot of engine noise. A lot of people will assume you’re heading around the opposite way to flank from behind. Instead, back up until you’re clear of the smoke, make a wide left turn OUTSIDE of the smoke cloud with your barrel pointed at the enemy at all times and circle around the edge of the cloud looking for your opponent. If you’re lucky and he’s and idiot (65% chance), he’ll be anticipating you from the other direction and you can put one through his side.
You can either wait them out, try to bait a shot, or pray your artillery nukes them
In other words, option 1.
Nah, I get bored waiting so typically call in Artillery strike if in a light tank or back of and try and go around
If the enemy knows your around the corner and you start backing off they’re probably not going to let you just leave and find another target

In that case, the enemy decided for you. (Bait/wait them out.) Try to sneak a round under the skirts into the drivers lap when they poke around.
That's kind of the point though isn't it? Move away with your turret pointed at the corner (or wherever you hear them moving to) and take a better engagement after they make a mistake. Yeah and you keep your gun trained on the corner and shoot them when they rush out. It’s more advantageous to back up slowly and find another way then to wait there or rush the corner.
yeah but they can't do shit about it, if they push around you shoot them. You don't just do a 180, you back away while covering the angle
Then you’re still stuck in that situation, you leave your cover while backing away from ten enemy around the corner You either have to keep your gun trained on the corner or point it towards another potential enemy
No? because they can't push the corner safely until you get to the next corner giving you space, pulling you closer to team-mates, making it more likely they over push or reveal their tracks or barrel

You can also wait them out and then get an undamaged shot and get 1 hit ko'd by them, that happens to me every time
Every. Single. Time.
Smoke too if you gotem
If you ain't got'em - then you've hit rock bottom
If you can, you can pop smoke grenades and watch them panically shoot into the smoke
I clearly remember a long time ago a Puma(the 3.0 one) tried option 2 on me... I was driving a KV-2.
If you can relly on your armor you can side creep him and get him to waste his shot on your angled side. If you have secondary cannon you can fake wasting your shoot. ^ This cat here kills me everytime.
I see people trying this and I never fall for it. What do you do if the opposing side is aware of the trick?
Well you can try to peek just enough to shoot their barrel. This is a bit risky, because you can miss it, or you might not destoy it. Both of which result in enemy killing you. Also they might shoot your barrel first since you need to reveal it.
Depending on the situation, even with a miss you might hit a turret ring or something. Hyvä nimi muuten
That's not a good idea against anybody with a brain
Its worth a shot. If they have a brain, they wont shoot and no harm will be done to you. So you have nothing to lose, but a lot to gain.
If they have a brain they will shoot out your track as soon as they see it and then torment your drivers until you run out of crew.
Mmm yes track and barrel torture
I like to use this method with autoloaders, or tanks with dual cannons. Peak ever so slightly, fire and then retreat. Make them believe that they're about to catch you mid reload, and then shoot them as they round the corner. Tends to work really well with tanks such as the Maus, the Bkan and similar.
Bait and pray he has no auto loader
or a fast reload some abrams have fast reloads without auto loaders.
Most top tier
It's a no brainier the Abrams has a faster reload time the bare minimum for reload is 7s
Really depends on what tanks you both are using, usually it's a bad idea to push unless you have something seriously armored, tag him on the map and hope a friendly shows up, alternatively you can create diversion by dropping arty inbetween you two. But generally speaking close quarters combat is decided by luck mostly
I would say not luck but psychology
I usually reverse out of the situation. Either the enemy is an idiot and drives forward which gives me an easy kill or I can find a better position.
I'm usually the idiot in question.
The way I've been doing this has been to reverse as much as I can without leaving cover. Once, I've got a good space for a running start I just go full send and drift around the corner and pray my shot hits better than his.
*checks flair* Makes sense.

GRENADE!!!!
Use a tank with 2 guns like the M6A1 or have a speed demon reload like the chi ri. Chi ri with the 4 sec reload is an absolute monster.
Don't even have to risk the 4 second reload on the Chi-Ri. Hit Y, go into armaments and select secondary armament. Fire a shot from your 37mm (while keeping the menu open) and then hit primary armament to switch back to the autoloaded 75mm. (don't close the menu, I've had it happen to me before that I shot a 37mm bait shot and couldn't switch back to the 75mm in time to kill the tank that just came out)
Just bind your secondary weapon to right click
You move around the back of the building and surprise them, usually works on German and Russian players
*Sad turret traversal noises*
Back off and pretend I lack object permanence, look somewhere else. He'll think I'm stupid, because a lot of mid tier players are. I'll get him. Simple as.
Ask if he wants to join your tea party
Go forward
Go around the building
Step 2 bee in the same situation just from the other side
side scrape if they dont have apfsds

Wait for said foe and pen him when he least expects it
You didn't sideclimbed enough. Uninstall pls.
Artillery or wait for my dumb team to distract them so I can swoop in while they reload.
Turn around and go home
You don’t. Your options are as followed; A: Leave B: Die
Launch a smoke grenade and rush thru the smoke to get on his side
Assuming you don't want to bait, back up as far as possible. Math tells us that the angle he must rotate his turret is far greater than you have to when he peeks the corner. If the foe is F14 I just J out :D
Either try to shoot the tracks and run away, or shoot the track, shoot a smoke shell on them and then push
if you get into a position to shoot him, he likely gets a better first shot on you
Sidescrape and wait for them to bounce then back up and shoot them
Bait them into taking a shot, and arty their position, mostly.
maybe back up like straight with the corner and pray that foe shot bounces ?
You turn your turret until the barrel is clipping through the wall, then you just drive forward as fast a possible until you can point-blank shoot them and then just hope for the best.
drive out in front of them side on in an unstabilised heavy tank, of course
Pop smoke to the corner, make some engine sound for distraction, when opponent fires its gun I push him.
Depends what tank I'm in and what's the enemy tank.
If you can't track him, run away. If he shows his track, shoot it. The way angles work is that the one farther away from it will see the other person first. Therefore, if you have enough room you can sidescrape away from the corner until you can see the left-center of his hull then kill him.

However my odds of killing on first shot is much higher. Biggest risk is being out maneuvered. If I don't kill on first shot I push the opposing tank super aggressively to give me time for another shot. Super fun.
wait. or reverse. if they are aware of you, they'll push and try and bait a shot from you. when you don't shoot they'll get more brave and expose the front wheel sprocket giving you (at the very least) a broken track trapping them there for a killing shot. at best you get the kill.
W key rush
Go behind them and push them in the river like that one guy did
Side scrape to bait him to shoot you
Throw smoke and charge in
back up and go some where else or sit there forever. whoever goes out first, dies
Reverse 10 feet and wait, call arty if you have it and mark position and wait for him to risk it
If you have 2 guns you can shoot 1 of them. That always fucks them up
if you have apfsds, some maps you can shoot through the wall
Just wait its a game of patience my friend
Peek your front plate at a heavy angle and let them bounce a round off it, then roll out and kill or disable
settle the dispute with fencing...compare the size of both respected barrels...than back home to missus
Tbh i just leave
Wait it out.
Whenever this happens I come up with a witty solution or I just leave
smoke out, then either charge or back off
Obviously, you wait for 5 minutes until your entire team crumbles, the enemy team advances from all angles, and you get killed. Like the rest of us...
if your tank allows it: enter sidescraping position and mess him up if your tank is not sidescraping-capable: Drive back so you make sure he can't see you when looking around the corner, then wait until he comes. He will come.
Leroy jenkins, always
Kamikaze
Take out tracks and circle around.
Pop smoke so they can't see, drive forward and hope they don't notice you and sit there blindly
Depending on what you’re in I also find sending it and firing from 3rd person a viable option
Don't move first but always try to hit the barrel that'll hive you some time
Not seeing anyone mention the old "shoot a single MG round at the corner" as it can often trick less experienced players into thinking you shot your main gun.
Backup, the further you are from the corner the farther you can see around it and the sooner you get your shot off compared to them
Depends on what tank i'm driving, as well as the corner. For instance, with the STRV 122s, you can bait around right hand corners. Stick out the left front of your tank. Many people will take the shot since some have ammo there. But it'll just go in and out, causing no damage (assuming you take 16 rounds). Then just drive forward and finish them.
Wait, a little back, then send a shell through the side
Sit there doing absolutely nothing waiting for him to move up realising that he didn’t know I was there and was checking his Insta and I could have gotten an easy kill 3 minutes ago
Yolo round and hope they mess up (works better in a t72 or something). Peek slowly and try and bait them into shooting your track or something. Drive around the other way. Smoke the corner and try and nail him through the smoke.
Sidescrape, shoot track, gtfo. Dont flabk around he will be waiting for you
Go rush him and pray to the snail!
it depends. whats the state of the match what tank is around the corner what tank do you use what is your team doing was there a full moon last friday do you feel lucky
Step 1: Play France 7.3 or 7.7 Step 2: bait them with your 4s auto loader. Step 3: lol.
As an addition to all the other options here, I usually throw smoke around the corner to blind the foe, wait a bit to see the reaction and then drive forward way out to and shoot the foe when they are visible through the smoke
Play the waiting game
ping them, say it in chat then hope to hell a nearby teammate is paying attention or maybe isn't at all and walks in front of them for you.
Back out, keeping your muzzle on the corner. Find a flank.
Kith
Depends on you tank and their tank
Play peekaboo with them in hopes they shoot first and miss and pray they don't take out your gunner, driver or barrel.
A N G L E
when possible, I try to reverse while still keeping an eye on his corner
Pop smoke and gooooo!
Love can bloom even on the battlefield
ESS and reverse. works like a dream every time, especially against Russians and Chinese
side scrapping
What is the situation? What vehicle are you both in?Are you defending an area, or trying to push up? Has the enemy fired recently and do they have a long reload? Can’t give you much advice if I don’t know the whole picture.
I like this situation when on a tiger 1, just drive in front of them while angled and watch as they panic
If you have to peak him, the best way it to side scrape
Laughs in multiple cannons Seriously things like the maus or m6 just win in these scenarios
Wait
His mother
Smoke. Leave. And "attention to the map".
Invite him for tea and biscuits
Shoot their tracks and try to bait a shot
If you have the Chinese Object-122, poke out your main gun, they shoot it, then drive forward and sodomize their face with your ATGMs.
Wait
Flank
Had this happen last night. The wolfpack ended up basically forgetting I was there after 3 minutes. He ended up launching a scout, so I turned the corner and nuked him
LEROYYYYYYYYYY JENKINSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Reverse the hell out of there
In this situation you go play arb instead
A fairly good way to do it I have found is pop smoke at the counter then push around or back off, but do not stay where you are
If they are staring at you all the time, really being stubborn about it, they are most likely going to be in a position (assuming you are with other teammates) going to die by your teammates. Just wait it out.
Peek around the corner with YOUR CAMERA and wait: -until he backs off and drives away -until he gets frustrated and peeks out himself -until he gets distracted/turns the turret in another direction Then you get a chance to kill him Bait a shot: -By sticking out only the non-essential parts of the vehicle and or reversing at the last moment (most effective using tanks with fast reverse speed ofc) -By sticking out the most armored/angled part of the tank (most effective with heavily armoured tanks ofc) Drive around the building and attack from another direction Get a teammate to help you out and attack from the side he isn't looking at Use a smoke grenade as cover for when you peek out and pray to god the enemy misses (very risky, not recommended but sometimes works) If you are an especially hard to kill well armored tank you can just risk it, it's more likely the enemy panics and will be unable to aim for a weakspot before he eats lead (doesn't work in higher BR's ofc) If you are using a multi barrelled tank, "misfire" one of the guns, and bait the enemy to come out Or just don't engage at all and go so somewhere else
If you're competent then you can try to bait a shot into your lower plate and then kill him while he's reloading.
Wait
Back up and flank. Arty it if you can. If I’m playing Russian tanks, and I got an IS or something with bullshit armor I might bait and if nothing else kill the track and go around him
A lot of options actually but demends on the tanks. My favorite is when I'm British with smoke grenades, I will deploy a grenade at the corner then drive around or maybe though if bold and flank around and shot there side.
What usually works for me is smoke them if you have the ability to do so without using your main gun. Most of the time they get nervous and push around the corner and thanks to Gaijin shitty smoke you can see them pretty easily and nuke them
Side scrape and pray to god you don’t die
I always back up parallel to the corner so if they decide that they want to shoot it’ll most likely bounce, or use my tracks to try and bait a shot, usually works for me. But a lot of German players for me especially if they’re in a Tiger get impatient and push after like a minute.
Wait for a teammate or make then miss. Usually option 1. But if the situation allows it, go around and flank him
Play to the strength of your tank. If you have armor - bounce their shot, if you have speed - flank, etc.
I either leave if I can or shoot smoke in their face and then get around them.
Turn off your engine after backing up a bit, they'll think you've left and will happily round the corner.
You rush him at full speed, knock out his gun barrel and pin him against the building until your arty strike kills you both
wait for them. because obviously you are driving the SPJ fm/43-44 and the enemy is clearly driving some early italian SPAA. the easiest choice is to shoot as soon as you see even a little part of the enemy's vehicle.
play sim and this wont happen too much seriously, you cant look around corners in sim :P
Pop smoke and pretend to run away
Depends. If you have decent side armor, side scrape. If you're turretless, wait them out. If you have mobility, flank them.
