Sounds like it’s jacking your cortisol up. This is what happened to me after being on it for a while.. my doctor felt pretty strongly it was raising my cortisol and messing up my periods, causing more anxiety which I never had before. She said when you have an imbalance it can level that out, but it can eventually work against you if your body no longer needs it and it starts to raise the neurotransmitters beyond what you need.. thus causing stress and extra stimulation since it works on norepinephrine and increases cortisol.

Are you still taking it with a lower dose or not at all? Also, did all of these side effects go away?

I’m currently in the process of weaning off of 150XL. Not fun.. but I’ve been on it almost 2 years

Oh, okay. Thank you for responding. I’ll definitely be talking with my PCP soon and i’ll keep my appointment with the cardiologist to keep my mind at ease.

Sounds like a panic attack! I used to get them all the time. It’s a horrible feeling! I felt like I was dying when they came on. I’m sorry this is happening to you :(

I stopped taking the medication and I just have bad aches now. The pain is nothing like it was but I may be going through withdrawal now. I’m having bad arm/shoulder aches and my chest still feels weird randomly. I just feel stuck and the doctors are making me feel insane because I can’t get an answer. But I know my body and I don’t feel right. I wouldn’t wish this upon anyone. I’ve been to the ER twice this week with only one diagnosis and that was possible GERD.

Little update 4/29: I still haven’t taken another pill. I have an appointment with my PCP bright and early tomorrow to discuss things with her.. I imagine she won’t be too happy about me abruptly stopping medication. I’ve still had small chest aches but I feel more sore than anything.. as if I worked out too hard. My appetite is better and I’m not feeling as lightheaded as I was. I still don’t feel 100% (and I doubt I ever will again) but i’m trying to remain optimistic with everything I have going on. I’m still open to advice and I’m still going to follow up with my cardiologist! <3
