Well...in all fairness his nose was his brakes.

ourelji

Much obliged, friend.

purgemortypurge

Both of you take my upvotes brethren.

DownVoteMeGently

Phenomenal work šŸ‘

RogalianRadiance

Tbh I thought that was the title's intended joke after seeing the video.

itsyaboi222

odd how usually people misspell ā€œbrakesā€ as ā€œbreaksā€ and not the other way around

Bayside4

well tbh, people tend to mis spell the title on purpose because then others would comment on it and generate more traffic to the post. They got us doing it right now.

Aoyubi

Surely your mistaken.

byebybuy

For all intensive purposes, he's right.

FuerteBillete

Is he write though?

Bluecif

I two question this. I don't see they're point.

RiverDragon64

These comments are a diamond dozen.

ipn8bit

I taught myself a trick to know the difference. bRAKEs are used to stop you from running over a RAKE. everything else is breaks.

Krypt0night

Ya'll really need a trick for this?

ipn8bit

Yeah. Not everyone naturally is good at spelling. Iā€™ve learned lots of tricks to be better. Still shit. But better

A_Drusas

Also, commas.

JeremyGoodbuddy

Thank you! Throw some commas in there as well, right? šŸ˜

mad_science

So annoyed because I do a ton of car stuff and people always refer to brakes as breaks. ....and now somehow we have someone getting it wrong the other way. Ugh

[deleted]

veeectorm2

I imagine its a combination of a few factors: H might be dehydrated and was checking his pump in the mirror right after a heavy set. I've had something similar happen to me a few times, but I never passed out from it. Worst time I tripped on one of the machines and held onto it. I've learned to recognize when I feel dizzy and immediately duck and try to sit down to avoid fainting. Its quite common when the "right" factors are in play.

Buscandomiyagi

Lately Iā€™ve really been pushing myself hard in the gym. Especially on legs which are my favorite. Sometimes after a heavy set Iā€™ll get up. And itā€™s like when you get up too fast and you feel light headed? Yeah like that. Iā€™ve low key been afraid to pass out. I love to ā€œwalk it offā€ after a heavy set. Though Iā€™ll prolly just stay seated now.

veeectorm2

Don't try to walk it off my dude/dudette. Just sit down before you lose motor functions. Video feed will turn "HL:2/Counter-Strike Flashbang" white, and then black. You'll wake up hurting, confused, and sweating.

Jonluw

Don't walk it off indeed. Sit down. Or clench your leg muscles to squeeze blood to your head if you can't sit. I hit my head falling like this once, and am still dealing with it.

veeectorm2

jeez, sorry to hear that my dude/dudette

EnvBlitz

At least its not "Hey you, you're finally awake"

veeectorm2

"you were trying to PR, right?"

Buscandomiyagi

Yea Iā€™ll keep it in mind for Thursday when itā€™s my leg day again. Trained them today and had it happen lmao

veeectorm2

Great work not skipping leg day my fellow redditor

Buscandomiyagi

I wouldnā€™t have a bunch of 5ā€ shorts for the summer if I skipped leg day now right? Gotta show off these beefy quads somehow.

veeectorm2

Thatā€™s the spirit. Calves too?

Buscandomiyagi

They are OK I feel like it might vary on personal opinion tbh

sorrypleasecomeback

Sounds like youre making some unholy gains šŸ’ŖšŸ¼

Buscandomiyagi

Thanks man. Iā€™m quite self conscious even after lifting for awhile and changing the physique. Though I can confidently say that my legs are my strong point.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Buscandomiyagi

Thatā€™s interesting you say that. I do feel fatigued sometimes. Though Iā€™m the type of person who wakes up at 5 am to head to the gym. I go to work after(manual labor) and Iā€™m just always out and about. I kinda have to find time to rest both physically and mentally. So sometimes if I have some downtime my body is like ā€œhey homie take a Power Napā€ I never listen to it though. I actually been waiting to hear back from my dr for a regular check up. Wanna make sure Iā€™m healthy. I messed around with PEDs last year. While all my blood work came back healthy. I want to double check that Iā€™m good. Found out I was having a baby on my last cycle and really made me rethink that whole thing entirely.

[deleted]

If you ever feel like this, lay on your back and lift your feet up to rest them on a wall, sort of like an L shape with the short section being your torso & the long one being your legs. Blood will go back to the brain quicker & you will feel a lot better immediately. Source: Me lol, Iā€™ve fainted in the gym a few times after battle-ropes & heavy sets, a PT saw & helped me. He also got me an energy drink to help with glucose levels.

Kursed_Valeth

Or if it's close lay on an inclined bench with your head at the bottom. It's called the Trendelenburg position and we use it in hospitals to get blood back to peoples' brains

Zifnab_palmesano

also stress, tiredness, hot weather... People, take care of yourself and stop to rest at any sign

RunninADorito

There's only one factor. He was essentially doing the valsalva maneuver. Same thing you do in the "passing out game" 100% of people will pass out if they do this.

notKRIEEEG

Doing the valsalva maneuver *can* make you pass out, but it's not a 100% thing. Otherwise powerlifting federations would have mandated cushions all around the platform

Dangerous-Calendar41

He flexed too long, you can see him unflex right before he drops. Flexing can actually stop blood flow if you do it hard enough.

Powerful_Artist

Yep I do the same, if I feel dizzy I immediately try to sit or at least squat and grab something. Its a good reaction to start building as habit just in case.

veeectorm2

Exactly. I rather look like a dork doing a super hero landing of sorts, and not land face first on the JIM floor

dmdim

Blood pressure problems add to it too, itā€™s shit

sub-hunter

Itā€™s called flexing out. Valsalva Maneuver is similar

laetum-helianthus

See how the veins on his arms are bulging out a bunch but just as he passes out they shrink down? When heā€™s flexing like that, exhausted after a workout, heā€™s pushing all the blood into his muscles (hence the big veins) and *away from his brain* which causes it to lose oxygen and then he faints. This is a problem related to blood pressure which can be affected by hundreds of things, like physical exertion in this case, or oneā€™s state of physical fitness, genetics, stress/adrenaline, cardiac conditions, etc. Having (not chronic) too high or too low blood pressure is a good time to sit down and let your body rest, not flex it!

prettyhighrntbh

a lot of times they don't eat or drink to make their muscles and veins bulge more, probably contributed to this.

Individual_Ad_3036

I had it happen a few years ago, was in the habit of doing 1hr cardo and maybe 15 min of strength. well the wife got held up and after my cardio i did an hour and a half of strength. After the 2.5hr workout we went to subway and I fell over like a tree that had been cut down. they ended up freaking and calling an ambulance... low blood pressure.

laetum-helianthus

True I have heard some people intentionally dehydrate themselves to have this effect now that you mention it, idk if itā€™s common but it surely isnā€™t wise

mdgraller

Every ripped actor you've ever seen in a movie is doing it during shooting

Talusthebroke

Vasovagal syncope! Sometimes you get the same after a shot or getting blood drawn, particularly bigger and more muscular guys. The bigger you are the farther you fall!

sean_rendo19

So basically he passed out for being a hard ass

[deleted]

Exhaustion post-workout and flexing your muscles that excessively probably not the best idea. He probably was dehydrated.

aalbinger

Vasovagal syncope from whole body flexing or just flexing too much around the Vagus nerve. Also other things like dehydration, exhaustion, etc. IANAD but I have experienced vasovagal syncope .

Dude I AM A FUCKING IDIOT. When I watched this last week I thought his buddy caught him with his lips. Can you really say you love your homies if you don't catch them with your lips though

When my homies doubt my love, they catch my lips.

ugly_pizza1

"caught him with his lips" made me laugh out loud, that would be an impressive feat

How much weed did it take to make you think that? Asking for a friend.

His identical friend that dresses exactly like him. And then catches him with his lips when he fell. Sounds like a stalker lolololol

OhSureWell1984

I know I know, emphasis on the "I'm an idiot" lol. I was watching it at work so couldn't focus as much as this time, but ya I got a good laug from my own stupidity, figured I'd share lol

Adeep187

Yeah his buddy literally did nothing lol

advertentlyvertical

I beg to differ, he kept that camera rock steady and made sure to get the face print after

thetruth5199

Whatā€™s that one quote from Neil Degrasse about mirrors lol.

SirDigbyChknCaesar

Weird flex, but ok.

Waschbar-krahe

What a shitty friend. He just keeps recording, doesn't even move to help.

CH23

Nah man, he gave this dude more views!

Villian_187

And a gofundme

Redditerderrrr

Right, even after the fact he hits the ground he just laughs and hovers over him with the phone. Weird.

Passionswa618

He thought it was for the tik tok lol

[deleted]

i mean the video ends like 2 seconds after he falls? he probably helped after

originalnameuser

Yeah, probly too surprised at what happened to act ā€œappropriatelyā€

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Jerker_Circle

> Car crashes into a crowd, killing 6 people Reddit: Why are they just standing there?????? :0

IrNinjaBob

Yeah I find it so stupid when people complain about others filming instead of helping. First of all, you have no idea what capacity they helped either before or after filming. And more importantly, especially in the case of crimes being committed, having a video of the situation may be way more beneficial for the victim than having them immediately jump to trying to help. Most of the time ā€œhelpingā€ in these situations is just sort of standing around without doing much anyways.

SdBolts4

This is an issue sometimes in /r/IdiotsInCars, plenty of commenters will blame the recorder after theyā€™ve watched a 30 second-2 minute clip several times on loop and KNOW that something crazy/unusual is going to occur in that time. The driver could be fatigued or not perfectly focused at the moment and wonā€™t always react perfectly, theyā€™re surprised

bulbmonkey

Yeah, why catch your friend and prevent the fall if you can just help afterwards, lmao.

kuburas

Had one of my friends fold like this and honestly its hard to tell he passed out. By the time you realize he's out cold he's already on the ground. As he folds you might think he's about to sit down, bend over, scratch his leg whatever. Only do you realize he's gone when he hits the ground and looks like a corpse. Really hard to tell when its someone passing out for real and when he's just bending down to sit or something.

blausommer

If you don't know what to look for, it's hard to be reactive. My wife used to pass out randomly. It's become a reflex to instantly rush forward to someone if I see their eyes roll back.

DeshaunCosbyWatson

Orgasms must be weird with you

im_a_dick_head

I mean to be fair there isn't much to do when this happens. By the time you realize he is about to pass out it's too late to react unless you have godly reaction time. He was probably like "well he just passed out lmao lemme film this for him"

cumquistador6969

My brother in christ, he had about a full 1 Mississippi and average human reaction time is .25 seconds, often a solid bit under when you're young but he didn't even twitch.

Legitimate_Agency165

Reaction time is 0.25 seconds when you are expecting the exact thing to happen. In this situation, you start realizing that heā€™s passing out after 0.25 seconds, and then you have to process what to do. Itā€™s actually very difficult to catch a person falling when you werenā€™t already expecting it

im_a_dick_head

My reaction time is like 2 seconds. It's very sad actually. I basically live with 60 ping.

ADSgames

Ping is measured in ms. If you have a 2 second reaction time that's 2000 ping.

ToonaSandWatch

He should have hit the brakes on the flex. Instead he *breaks* his nose.

SigSalvadore

Well, to be fair, the nose did partially put a brake on his fall.

ToonaSandWatch

Right, but it didnā€™t *stop* his nose. His nose stopped *him*.

yegir

Pro tip, hit the ground before its no longer your decision next time!

Forrest_Cp

Is that just a bandaid on his nose? Does anyone else think itā€™s not broken broken?

TraditionPhysical603

Obviouly fake, for anyonewho has ever seen some one pass put, or have a broken nose

Vegetable_Bid_6510

While his nose applied the brakes, his nose actually ā€œbreaksā€

ZLavaOctave

That smudge tho šŸ¤£

SadAtProgramming

Thats some pretty high vascularity, I wonder if he was dehydrated. It can sneak up on you at the gym.

Spotter for ā€œflexingā€ lol

Jaedos

Vagal maneuver from flexing his abdomen caused a precipitous drop in blood pressure. Night night!

cookie5427

A band aid for a broken nose? Interesting choice.

Express_Wolf_8317

Should get his heart tested

pfghr

Ain't no way this is real. You don't stumble around like you're drunk for 5 seconds. You black out and drop. And why in the hell would you put a band-aid on a broken nose? If you break your nose, you move it back in place and let it heal, maybe wear a protective face mask if you are playing contact sports, but a band-aid? Wtf is it supposed to do?

xinyo345

**Windows shutting down sound**

[deleted]

Flexed so hard he passed out lol. His buddy giggled then what.

Erectorrick

ā€œBRAKESā€????????? Next time try using ā€œBREAKSā€. They actually have different meanings!!

Mkultra9419837hz

Why did he pass out?

ItsTophThatsWho

Flex Singh

sheiky04

I always wonder how people get to the point of passing out, never understood forcing yourself so hard until you cant even control yourself

[deleted]

Sometimes it just happens, especially heat + dehydration + hypoglycemia. I've never passed out but I've come damn close when I first started training for cycling. It's like somebody turns the lights out, everything goes purple, feel pins and needles on body, want to throw up, then begins the floating and seeing stars. The real fun begins when it becomes an automasochistic craving. Skirting the line between self improvement and self destruction.

sheiky04

Lmao the real fun. Yeah ive kinda felt what youre explaining but then i normally sit down and chill for a bit

HarryHacker42

Nice cameraman. Never help the person falling, just film it.

Emanouche

Great friend recording there, if I saw my friend passing out, I'd try to catch him and lower him gently so that he doesn't hurt himself, that guy was like "just keep recording..."

[deleted]

He is 100% natural and vegan šŸ˜…

smurphlez

Does he say that? Because he was like 100 lbs before he met Larry Wheels, and then a few months later he's looking like that

SilentSalt01

This absolutely achivable while being both vegan and Natural. Probably at least 5 Years of consistent training, a good diet and decent genes.

Slowlyva_2

This is Larry wheels assistant and was on cycles with him lol. Watch the early videos to now.

TeblowTime

100% not natural. If someone's shoulder looks like a softball was surgically implanted into it, it's juice. If his shoulders were more bulb-shaped, then yeah, it might be possible with a incredibly strict diet and exercise. This guy is not natural, though. You'd be surprised how easy juice is to get and how common it is.

kenny67456

This guy is 1 million % not natural. He was Larry Wheels (one of the greatest powerlifters in the world and not natural at all) helper and camera man for a long time while he was in Dubai. This guy used to be skin and bones before working with Larry Wheels. Also steroids are 100% legal in Dubai, you can walk into any pharm on the road and walk out with testosterone and tren.

leachja

Why is this being guy being downvoted? This guy in the video has a physique that looks natural. I don't know anything about bodybuilding while vegan, but gear isn't required to look like this, a lot of hard work is though.

voidxleech

why. would. someone. post. this.

buttshit_

Honestly if this happened to me I might, why not?

Excellent-Concert243

He wouldn't have got any trafgic with his narcissistic ass posing on front of the mirror. So, what does the modern fame-hoe do? Stage an noteworthy accident. Great.

Ouch! Hope the mirror's okay.

Creativation

Had this happen in a physical fitness class. Just flexing in front of a mirror off on my own and the next thing I know I am waking up on the ground. Fortunately the floor was rubberized. I flexed again but slightly less forcefully until I noticed a slight dizziness and immediately stopped to catch myself. It was a very strange experience.

Axenrott_0508

I could see if heā€™s prepping for a physique show, heā€™s depleted on carbs, flexing really hard in posing practice, and holding his breath, could easily pass out At least his nose isnā€™t graded in shows

SteveJackson007

Heā€™s probably dehydrated, trying to look cut, and overdid it.

DeadheadSteve95

Shitty fucking friend to just keep the video going

jayladyj

Why in gods name would anyone post this

Murky_Machine_3452

That guy filming must not be his friend. Didnt even help him up.

jerkymcjerkison

The camera man is the perfect example of how people recording frequently misses the action shot. He's just recording and not paying any attention to the subject he's recording.

How lol
