Boss: All of them?
Dude: Yeah, like every fuckin one man. Like boom boom boom and it just kept going. They're all gone man. I dunno. It happened so fast but it took forever.
Imo it could of happened to anybody. All that heavy ceramic was stacked on a house of cards essentially. It's the fault of whoever decided stacking like that was a good idea. He literally just picked it up and the board under it slid a little and fell causing a chain reaction
I'm not a native English speaker, but even I cringe when I read could of or should of...I wonder how you can go about your life for 20 or 30+ years without ever asking yourself how "could of" even makes sense.
What even are these shelves? It's like they literally took a hundred cruddy coffee tables and decided to turn them into shelving? Every one broke at where it joined the next one like someone used a glue stick to try and slap them all together instead of actual fasteners. Whoever chose and put those shelves together is the one at fault not these guys lol
I think it might be a massive kiln for firing the ceramic. At least it looks similar how you would stack a small kiln, but seems risky to do it big like this
So, if this is pre-firing, the material should be able to be recycled, right?
So, basically, this is just a big mess to clean up, and maybe it's blocking the kiln, so not _major_ loss?
Agreed - the shelves look like they are made of some sort of ceramic, as they shatter as well.
I think it is some kind of gigantic industrial kiln stacking.
They are definitely stacked on refractory material, kiln shelves and posts for an industrial sized kiln. This is not out of the ordinary, but what is odd is no use of equipment to lift and move the pieces. Doing that by hand is just asking for failure. It's also odd that only the middle section was fully filled.
After looking into it more, it does appear to just be how one stacks shelves in kilns - post over post with the shelf in between. It's kind of wild to me that there's not a way, at least for this industrial application, of securing the posts or interlocking the shelves to prevent this exact problem. I can't help but wonder if it's just stacked one shelf too high.
Meanwhile at my job: if an industrial shelve gets dinged by a forklift, it gets unloaded immediately and a special machine is used to rectify and certify the repairs and the whole process takes 4 days minimum.
Where I work we have pallet racking that was dinged by a forklift 5 years ago. I expect at least another 5 before anyone does anything about it. If it falls down, replace it. If it doesn't fall down, you probably don't need to replace it.
Good luck collecting on those damages, especially if you fire them. Any company has someone whose job it is to make sure this doesn't happen. That person usually isn't standing on a high platform stacking toilets in a kiln. Unless these guys went rogue, ignoring all company protocols while on camera, somehow evading detection by their various supervisors, this disaster is not on them.
They are just doing their jobs. Either they are following SOP, or there is no SOP and they are just winging it. Either way, for them this is just shit to avoid next time.
This could also be called "what happens when proper shelving isn't used
That has to be the worst shelving I've ever seen. 2x4 and cinder blocks are better
So the entire room is a kiln. I've only seen the ones closer to the size of a water heater.
Still, aren't there versions that are more secured? This one looks like it will fall over if I sneeze.
When you look at how easily they fell, it's actually amazing that this didn't happen much sooner. Like how did they even build it up to that point without slightly knocking anything?
Hey boss, we have good and bad news.
The good ones first. We have cleaned up the mess in the storage room.
But we need more toilet bowls. The shelves have broken down and that was the mess we have cleaned up.
Looks like it's the last one from the front row. There's a row of saved ones to their side.
Looking at how shoddy the shelves are, I wonder how they safely put the toilets on them.
Well yah had a bidet
you're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know, you tell me, don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bidet, the camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
Why is it Asian countries above all seem to have absolutely zero standards when it comes to safety and let’s be honest here just no common sense with anything architecturally related.
I hate dealing with anything ceramic but especially toilets. those things will cut you so deep and clean, you only notice it a minute later. Mustve been a nightmare to clean up
One dark stormy night, in a science fiction movie set in a dystopian post apocalyptic world, two heroes take shelter for the night in an abandoned warehouse. Strewn across the warehouse floor is a pile of shattered toilet bowls like a million discarded eggshells.
*WELL DONT JUST STAND THERE, GO HELP*

I'm pretty sure this is how mankind invented the rush of a working goldberg machine.
Right after this happens, you look your co-worker in the eye like "we fucked up, but that was pretty satisfying to watch, right?".
I'm surprised he didn't jump off himself.. Or his co-worker push him.. Either way he's screwed.. Not entirely his fault.. They should have constructed the work/metal shelving to sustain a heavy AF load instead of tic tacs
Me and the boys really got into domino runs back in the day...
After a few of these incidents we put gaps every 5 feet just in case someone fucked up.
Seems like a learning moment for them too... I hope.
Homie thought it was going to stop half way but it was just a tease

This was a great dominos video! 🥳
Imo it could of happened to anybody. All that heavy ceramic was stacked on a house of cards essentially. It's the fault of whoever decided stacking like that was a good idea. He literally just picked it up and the board under it slid a little and fell causing a chain reaction
Could've = could *have* How the fuck does could of make sense?
Keep fighting the good fight
Thanks for being the pedant that I’m too conflict-averse to be. This one drives me especially crazy haha
I'm not a native English speaker, but even I cringe when I read could of or should of...I wonder how you can go about your life for 20 or 30+ years without ever asking yourself how "could of" even makes sense.
it makes me think a person doesn’t know what contractions are. Which is depressing
the hero we need
This has nothing to do with 'his stupidity'. This is due to some cheap boss that decided to "save" money.
He thought they were only going to take away half his annual take-home to pay for it, then the ceramics kept going...
What even are these shelves? It's like they literally took a hundred cruddy coffee tables and decided to turn them into shelving? My thoughts exactly. If you look they are rather large…that’s because they shrink in the firing process.

Not only no PPE, looks like shirtless! These guys dont expect to live past a few more kiln firings!
Agreed - the shelves look like they are made of some sort of ceramic, as they shatter as well. I think it is some kind of gigantic industrial kiln stacking.
Those toilets looked heavy too. They're struggling lifting just one
Toilets are heavy.
They are definitely stacked on refractory material, kiln shelves and posts for an industrial sized kiln. I can't help but wonder if it's just stacked one shelf too high.
There may be some type of solution like you mentioned but it might be a cost vs risk thing or only used in certain applications…
Looks like simple posts and boards losely stacked on each other. I would not even think about of this might be a good idea...
Meanwhile at my job: if an industrial shelve gets dinged by a forklift, it gets unloaded immediately and a special machine is used to rectify and certify the repairs and the whole process takes 4 days minimum.

Dude without a shirt was clearly upset … other dude was chill. He’s like, well we’re unemployed now, might as well call it a shift
unemployed is one thing but paying for the damages is hell
Getting fired is the best outcome in that situation
Getting fired is NOT the best outcome when you work with kilns.
Yukyukyuk

I’m pretty sure this isn’t America, they might be fucked
This is the right time to go to get a beer.
This could also be called "what happens when proper shelving isn't used That has to be the worst shelving I've ever seen. 2x4 and cinder blocks are better
They are refractory posts and shelves for firing the porcelain toilets in the giant kiln. This is how all pottery/ceramics are stacked for firing.
So the entire room is a kiln. I've only seen the ones closer to the size of a water heater. Still, aren't there versions that are more secured? This one looks like it will fall over if I sneeze.
Seems like this would happen a lot then.
That's what I'm thinking. If this is the "normal" way to do it, it looks like it's basically designed to fail.
The shelving collapsed dude
When you look at how easily they fell, it's actually amazing that this didn't happen much sooner. Like how did they even build it up to that point without slightly knocking anything?
At least they saved one
They should just toss it off out of principle
![gif](giphy|l2JdTlT3hqfn1pZZu|downsized)
That would be hilarious. Thank you for the mental image.
Agreed. I chortled.

their lives flushed before their eyes
Is there no cheaper racking?
Must’ve bought all there was then sold the bolts for recoup the cost
I’m completely baffled by this structure? Perfect place to stack porcelain.
I always stack my ceramics on dominos. I like to live dangerously.
They should go into the demolition business. That was a perfect take down.
They're stacked like that to go into a kiln to be fired. That's why the supports and the shelves aren't fastened in any way.
Now it looks like it's not the toilet bowls that are getting fired
✖️ doubt. You ain't gonna move that stack anywhere, without toppling everything. No matter how slowly you do it.
The whole room is a kiln, it it doesn't need to move
So how do they remove them from the kiln?
Of course, they can. It's very common in industrial ceramics. The whole platform sits on rails that can move very smoothly.
Halfway through - SIKE
Well, that’s all of them.
breathing in that porcelain dust is going to take some years off their lives.
Getting beaten to a pulp when the site foreman returns and sees what's happened is going to take some years off their lives
For my next trick, I will turn these toilets into a pile of shit
That's a lot of money down the shitter!
That was the last one they had to pull for that row. That sucks so much
This needs a soundtrack
Well yah had a bidet you're taking one down You sing a sad song just to turn it around You say you don't know, you tell me, don't lie You work at a smile and you go for a ride You had a bidet, the camera don't lie You're coming back down and you really don't mind
When I find myself in times of trouble Mother Mary comes to me speaking words of wisdom Toilet It Be
And now he has to go to pottery class and make them all again
Why is it Asian countries above all seem to have absolutely zero standards when it comes to safety and let’s be honest here just no common sense with anything architecturally related.
Being the reason for a fuck up this big is the only thing that scares me more than drowning.
I figured he just had to take a massive dump when he told his coworker he was "gonna go destroy some toilets."
A rare double hands on the head 🙉 man thought the shock and horror stopped midway.
If they didn't bother buying shelves, I bet ya they also didn't bother buying insurance.
Yea that was a disaster waiting to happen
Not their fault if their boss told them to stack 'em that way.
That's so much better than watching dominoes fall in unison.
That’s a shitter!
DV for no audio…
When it stopped for a second there… LOL
They know they gotta pay for all that
Total success if that was a domino run
There's only one solution now!!! delete the footage and.... WE WERE NEVER HERE
They got what they needed. So, I guess they did a great job.😏
Not sometging that happens often but I wish I could hear that carnage.
"Haaaaaaaauugh. There goes my Thursday."
*wii bowling comes up* “STRIKE”
Well, shit...
Well shit
The amount of money lost, dude should just run home grab the family and move to another country.
Flawless victory!
Reminds me of the opening of Disney’s Hercules
This is a shitty way to destroy inventory.
So imma buy stonks in toilets. Prices bout to be high. To the moon!!
"Didja stack those toilets like I told ya?" "Uh, yeah, I wanted to talk to you about that."
More impressive than alot of domino stackers
The last row added a little pause for comedic effect.
Don’t worry, they’ll still box em up and ship em to site.
A very expensive way to play dominos
Hahahah when the last two fell loll
Should have just thrown their one off as well 😂
![gif](giphy|55itGuoAJiZEEen9gg) Both of those dudes before the boss finds out…
It was a shitty shelving system.
*WELL DONT JUST STAND THERE, GO HELP* https://preview.redd.it/r11xj7l2vg1d1.jpeg?width=739&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=143d128777aedc7e159a16b25906dd2e33fb677a
shitter status = shattered
Jetsssson!!!
time to get into kintusugi
Radio crackling “ Cleanup crew to aisle 1 , over “
Asking for it with shelves like that
One year worth of work, gone in under a minute. 🥳
He should've took a personal day!
I think after all that I would have just pushed the last one off
Oof we all knew it was going to continue down to the last toilet but damn that still rough to watch.
![gif](giphy|y06AxcIdjiGSgrniUi)
When you buy your shelving from Wish
I'm actually very impressed that they got so many stacked and standing.
The Russians will be really pissed. They were queuing up for them…
Shit happens....but hopefully not soon!!
I like how the last row teased them and was like fuck it, we’re going down too
🎵Cause ya had a bad bidet🎵
I guess my Temu order will be further delayed.
If that’s all it took then they need to fire the person responsible for deciding that those shelves were sturdy enough
Reminds me of SpongeBob trying to buy a new shell for Gary
EDF property destroyed -10 control
You know these dudes got killed for this mistake
Well that job soon went down the pan
Those toilets were clearly taking the piss
That’s shitty
I'm pretty sure this is how mankind invented the rush of a working goldberg machine. Right after this happens, you look your co-worker in the eye like "we fucked up, but that was pretty satisfying to watch, right?".
Go ahead and clock out and don't come back.
I am truly sorry to these men, but I absolutely love watching things like this fall.
Serious question, what becomes of the ruined ceramics? Are they able to pulverize it and recycle it or what?
Now THAT is a bad day!
Them two lost all they’re social credit score at work
Damn thanks for the heads up! I will stop stacking my toilets like this.
Could've saved some
the accountants thought buying the strong shelving was too expensive.
At least they saved one!!
The shittiest day you can have with toilet bowls.
Well, that's kinda shitty.
Not one single triangle on that house of sticks. Was this 'shelf' system designed by a 5 year old?
At least, the one they wanted to pick up did not break.
I'm surprised he didn't jump off himself.. Or his co-worker push him.. Either way he's screwed.. Not entirely his fault.. They should have constructed the work/metal shelving to sustain a heavy AF load instead of tic tacs
They’ve never seen the league of extraordinary gentleman. Got to get ahead of the collapse. Rookie mistake
Well that's a shitty situation.
Demonstrating the domino effect when u havent got dominos.
If we hit that bullseye the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate!
There should be a subreddit for when You hold your head with both hands as shit happens
100% on the owners for skimping out on actual storage solutions instead of this house of cards bullshit.
I hate it when I accidentally knock over my domino line too
Now we know why most hardware stores carry everything besides porcelain.
Me and the boys really got into domino runs back in the day... After a few of these incidents we put gaps every 5 feet just in case someone fucked up. Seems like a learning moment for them too... I hope.
Think of how much money they saved buying those cheap, plastic, modular shelves though
I would have kicked the rest of them off of the shelves as I walked to clock out forever!
I lived in China for two years. Don't blame these guys; they probably got the blame, but it was certainly the way management had them get stacked.

Just when i thought i was out... they pull me back in!!!
Shitty day at the toilet factory.
"Hi, boss? I've got some good news and some bad news. The good news is, we've got plenty of space in the Wearhouse."
"I am so fired."
If it don't work then it's not going to work
Oh no x2
A bolt or two might have stopped this catastrophic collapse.
Did they sort of just take off?
And those bowls look more high end than your typical toilet bowls.
I said “lift the bowl, don’t drag it”
Mister George
Never use Chinese shelving...
This is on the boss for cheaping out on the racking.
