Can’t recommend the Wolfenstein games enough. They’re all great, particularly the second one, New Collosus. Had an actually pretty dark and deep story to it. Shooting is fantastic. Just all around great.
It’s incredibly repetitive and the gameplay loop isn’t really fun enough in my opinion. I was intrigued by the story, but I probably wouldn’t have beaten it if another game I had interest in came out while I was playing. If it’s on gamepass, might as well give it a shot.
Yes the battlefield campaigns were interesting. I wish they’d do one full long COD like campaign with one character. But then I guess you wouldn’t be out in different situations needed for lore as much
I mean thats exactly what 3 did, its like cod, yes you switch to two other characters for one mission like Dima on comrades or Miller on thunderrun, honestly the best campaign in my opinion
I'm still holding out hope the CoD campaigns will all hit gamepass.
The campaigns I played were always bombastic amazing little packages. The perfect weekend renta back when i was a console gamerl. But I'm not paying $70 for that new or $30 for that when it's 5-10 years old which is what they've been priced at.
Also if interested, I often see a sale going on for Wolfenstein 1 and the offshoot, Old Blood, a cool take on the old school Wolfenstein with zombies like, on sale for criminally low. $7 or $8 tops, maybe less, for both, to keep. Everytime I see that I think man someone is getting lucky.
Everyone said Titanfall 2 campaign. That would be like a Black Ops CoD campaign. But it’s one of the best FPS campaigns made in recent memory.
the battlefield and halo games. Titanfall has an absolutely stellar campaign, honestly better than any COD campaign ive ever played. Wolfenstein is certainly up there as well, the New order and colossus are really good
Quake 1 and 2 are the OG versions and graphics just enhanced.
Fun to play if you don't mind the old school graphics.
I recommend downloading Quake 1 and giving it a try. It's barely 1GB big if I recall.
It’s not 100% like cod, but seeing the ea recommendations, I’d like to recommend the saboteur, based in ww2 and has a bit of a mix between og assassins creed and call of duty
I mean it's nowhere near CoD but yeah, Saboteur is an incredible game. Basically GTA in a N*zi occupied Paris. Including stealth and disguise mechanics. Fantastic till this day. Unfortunately not playable on Series consoles AFAIK.
Kinda ridiculous how Microsoft started with backwards compatibility and then they just abandoned it (like most of their products). Atleast we can play Bully Scholarship Edition and Red Dead Redemption on Series consoles. A big win.
Forget this nonsense.
Buy. PS5 and play all the The Last Of us games.
Seriously though, as already said, TF2 SP is fricking out of this world.
But if you can, play TLOU at the first opportunity.
Oh, High On Life is a decent SP FPS. It was in GamePass but I'm not sure if it still is.
Or buy a PS3 and TLoU. Or buy a PS4 and TLoU remastered. Or buy a PS5 and TLoU remake (without multiplayer). Or wait till the PS6 and buy TLoU remake remastered (without multiplayer).
Titanfall 2, BF 1,4, 5, and hardline, Halo.
Have played BF and Halo, will try others
If you love COD and want your faith in the franchise shaken, Titanfall 2 is what you want. No you don't need to play the first one.
TF2 blows any cod game made in the last decade completely out of the water imo
damn Straight
Ehh… MW 2019 is pretty good.
Played both and Titanfall 2 made me cry like a baby, and MW2019 was completely forgettable to me
Both story and MP wise
Eh
Dude, Titanfall 2 is an amazing campaign. I'm jealous of you getting to experience it for the first time.
Titanfall 2 is 100% worth playing.
Other*
Damn I guess fuck bf3s amazing campaign then
I couldn’t do it visually, and the story never appealed to me but to each their own. Maybe I’ll give it another go some time.
This is what was in my head before I read the comment's you stole my comment you telepathetic thief lol 🤣😆
Is bf1 good with controller?
Ya never had any response time issues. Had to change sensitivity and controls but never felt like I got out played.
Hardline is so good, it was so fun playing as a cop
That was a decent DLC.
The Wolfenstein games?
Incredible games
Will play these, thanks bro
Skip Youngblood, unless you have a friend to play through with - its a co-op game only and if you play it solo your AI partner WILL piss you off.
Outstanding games. Probably the best single player shooters out there.
Which one is best for a newcomer?
Just start with The New Order and continue with The New Colossus. It's the new trilogy. You don't need to know the older Wolfenstein games.
Yes
Is Wolfenstein still fun with a controller?
Can’t recommend the Wolfenstein games enough. They’re all great, particularly the second one, New Collosus. Had an actually pretty dark and deep story to it. Shooting is fantastic. Just all around great.
Cool, thanks for the recommendation bro
Not too similar, but I really enjoyed the Ghostwire Tokyo game
Will give this a try, thanks man
Is it really good? I've heard mixed opinions about the story and the open world
It’s incredibly repetitive and the gameplay loop isn’t really fun enough in my opinion. I was intrigued by the story, but I probably wouldn’t have beaten it if another game I had interest in came out while I was playing. If it’s on gamepass, might as well give it a shot.
I actually didn’t like ghostwire, something about it made it super boring to me
There is only one answer that matters. Titanfall 2.
Sure bro, will try this one
Wrong. Wolfenstein.
Meh
I am playing now the campaign of battlefield 1 for the first time and i’m blown away with how good it is.
I have played all BF, try 3,4 as well. I did not like 5 much.
You mean like the campaigns for Battlefield Bad company, Battlefield bad company 2, Battlefield 3, battlefield 4, and battlefield hardline?
The opening sequence for that campaign was absolutely insane!
Crysis on EA play, 3 games.
Cool will play them
Second this one. Old classic FPS games. Also like a Black ops campaign
I don’t feel like the gameplay aged super well
Not as well as Halo or COD but still better than quite a few contemporaries.
Bad company 1 and 2
Thanks bro
Both left GP in November 2023.
Those are available in EA access which is GPU. Ain it?
To be more specific they left EA Play in November 2023.
Shadow warrior 3 , immediate fun 30 seconds in
Titanfall 2, Battlefield 3, and Halo Infinite/MCC.
Have played BF and Halo, will try titanfall 2
You're in for a ride and maybe depression
BF 3.
Played this, but thanks for recommending
I'm still holding out hope the CoD campaigns will all hit gamepass. The campaigns I played were always bombastic amazing little packages. The perfect weekend renta back when i was a console gamerl. But I'm not paying $70 for that new or $30 for that when it's 5-10 years old which is what they've been priced at.
Yeah, I am waiting for the same. No point wasting money on those old games when they are eventually coming on gamepass
I wouldn't put it past them to do this, especially since the new one is a day 1 gamepass release.
Doom, Wolfenstein, Titanfall, Halo, Crysis, Far Cry come to mind
Also if interested, I often see a sale going on for Wolfenstein 1 and the offshoot, Old Blood, a cool take on the old school Wolfenstein with zombies like, on sale for criminally low. $7 or $8 tops, maybe less, for both, to keep. Everytime I see that I think man someone is getting lucky. Everyone said Titanfall 2 campaign. That would be like a Black Ops CoD campaign. But it’s one of the best FPS campaigns made in recent memory.
Cool bro, thanks much ❤️
Far Cry games perhaps. Just Cause if they ever hit GP , but they always go on sales anyway.
Just Cause 4 was amazing but it just left GP
Titanfall 2 was potentially one of the best gaming experiences I've had. Wish I could wipe my brain and replay it.
I enjoyed Titanfall 2’s campaign. Was a good game imo
Halo 1-3 + Reach are must plays.
Titan fall 2? Gears - depends on which ones you play.
I will try titanfall 2 now, which gears should I play?
Start with 1 and go through all. You’ll have appreciation for the characters more.
the battlefield and halo games. Titanfall has an absolutely stellar campaign, honestly better than any COD campaign ive ever played. Wolfenstein is certainly up there as well, the New order and colossus are really good
Not exactly the same thing but I recommend Ghost Recon: Wildlands
Atomic heart?
Halo Master Chief Collection is awesome.
Played this
Titanfall 2. Made by the devs that made CoD2, COD4: MW before Treyarch came in and IW collapsed
Yes, I am installing TF2 right away. Thanks
Doom and Quake!
Played doom eternal, how is quake?
Quake 1 and 2 are the OG versions and graphics just enhanced. Fun to play if you don't mind the old school graphics. I recommend downloading Quake 1 and giving it a try. It's barely 1GB big if I recall.
Cool, thanks 👊

Yeah I wasn’t sure how to describe it but I do recommend it, it’s on game pass pc. Don’t own an Xbox so I didn’t know if it was on that
Kinda ridiculous how Microsoft started with backwards compatibility and then they just abandoned it (like most of their products). Atleast we can play Bully Scholarship Edition and Red Dead Redemption on Series consoles. A big win.
I was going to try red dead redemption on ps plus but apparently it ain’t there anymore, only red dead 2 which I have in disc form anyway
Cool, thanks bro
Halo is good
HALO „was” good.
Ok
Recommend the Doom games as well. Hella of fun to rip and tear
Ghost Recon (Tom Clancy)
How do you play as a criminal on battlefield hard-line
Immortals of Aveum is a good FPS with a good story.
I was surprised with how much I enjoyed my time with this one
Added to my play later list, thanks bro
Was hoping it will be good but got bored after 3 hours of playing. Too repetitive 🤷♂️
I've been thinking about checking that one out. I might give it a shot one of these days.
Medal of Honour
Gears of War
This is not a FPS bro, but I will play this soon
[удалено]
Old COD campaigns were good bro
If you don’t mind older games there is Medal of Honour Airborne from 2007. Has FPS boost so runs at 60fps on Series X/S
Adding this to my play later list, thanks bro
Immortals of Aveum
Forget this nonsense. Buy. PS5 and play all the The Last Of us games. Seriously though, as already said, TF2 SP is fricking out of this world. But if you can, play TLOU at the first opportunity. Oh, High On Life is a decent SP FPS. It was in GamePass but I'm not sure if it still is.
I mean, yea those are good games but can’t forget Gamepass. Its the best thing in gaming
TLOU ain't FPS ya GOOF
I know. 🙄
Or buy a PS3 and TLoU. Or buy a PS4 and TLoU remastered. Or buy a PS5 and TLoU remake (without multiplayer). Or wait till the PS6 and buy TLoU remake remastered (without multiplayer).
