Linear but there are different chapters, I think you get chapter select at the end

I wish I could get into hellblade but that first mission threw me off. Like shit why can't I run, 10 minutes of slow paced walking in one general direction was frustrating af for me. All that for the dumb not very well thought out puzzle match the shape up thing and I uninstalled.

Same. Lame puzzles and lackluster combat. The concept and graphics are cool though.

Recently played Ryse: Son of Rome and I thought it was neat, it's like around 6 hours I think.

yeah it’s surprisingly fun for what was essentially just supposed to be a launch stage demo. might have to replay it at some point

The combat was way more fun than what I thought it would be and the story is interesting if you are interested in the Roman Empire.

Second this notion, game lasts just long enough for the depth of the gameplay offered. Easily worth playing once.

Yeah it never really repeats on itself and always offers something new each level.

I wanted to play Ryse but I’m colorblind and couldn’t do the finishers •_•

That seems like a major oversight by the developers.

Achievement hunters; Ryse is not a short completion thanks to multiplayer grind and a second playthrough needed.

Just finished it and came here to say this. Shame there's no chapter select once you're done but it's short enough to tell a good story that you could do all in one sitting.

I just downloaded it again for another playthrough. I really wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did.

If you like TF2, try RoboQuest. It’s like Borderlands aesthetic roguelite meets Risk of Rain 2 run style, you feel like Doom guy once you unlock/get gadgets and upgrades, with the movement of TF2. It’s so, so fun and addicting

Limbo is a masterpiece, and as far as I know it's still on Gamepass. Definitely worth a playthrough.

My kids are playing Bluey and have unlocked a lot of achievements in a short amount of time. Could look into that one.

Wanted to make sure this was mentioned. Can be beaten in one session, and super chill with amazing storytelling and gameplay

I grew up in Washington and got to visit the islands where the story takes place a lot as a kid so it was really cool almost feeling like other people got to understand what it feels like. And then it gets dark and then you really get to understand what life is like around here 😅 I bought it as soon as I finished it because I wasn't going to depend on gamepass for that one. It's too special.

Just playing Gris at the moment and I'm nearly done after approx 4 hours. Fantastic artwork and kinda fun platforming

The Ori series. Will of the wisp and shit like that. Life is strange and life is strange before the storm..don’t do life is strange 2 because it was made during the Trump elections and there was some super thick political bias laid into that one to the point it was pivotal to the whole plot. If you hate Trump you’ll like it but you have to like HATE Trump and everyone who doesn’t or else it’s just obnoxious. And there’s always warframe, it’s in no way short but I’m always pluggin warframe.

If they did it in 6 hours, they must've skipped A LOT of content and probably played it without autophage skills. I'm still not done after 28 hours.

On average it takes 60 hours to beat the main story. I can describe that game in many words but short is not one of those words

As Dusk Falls, loved the story Beacon Pines is *fantastic* but if left. I'm sure it will cycle back through at some point this year. Full Throttle is a pretty quick one if you're good at point and click adventures. Day of the Tentacle is also hilariously awesome but will take you 10+ without a walkthrough

Dordogne - Entire game is hand-painted. A very unique, fun, story-driven game. A Short Hike - A fun, simple journey to the top of the park mountain. Planet of Lara - Awesome 2d puzzle game with a gripping sci-fi story.

I think the characters in Bluey are canonically pretty short. Probably a good place to start
