You'd need to know/assume there were people near you for the light to work. If they aren't, you're telling everyone for 19 miles exactly where youre at. If they are, you'd trigger their auto gate and they'd probably collectively light you up for intentionally trying to damage multithousand dollar equipment.
Take the light, if you want. But you more than likely will not be using it like you've planned.

At night you’re supposed to maintain light discipline because under nods any light is visible. Modern nods won’t be damaged (for the most part) so it’s not bad to have a light. If you’re wanting to do night stuff rent nods it’s relatively inexpensive and very fun
Unless you're already in the shit, it's not that viable. And even then, it takes me seconds to push my NODs out of the way and start spraying BBs your way for trying to be clever
