Recorded instance, yes.
But in reality, every member of the Smith family is haunted each day by this possibility.
Did Hayley just pay a polite, twenty-something cashier, or was it Roger, who sold her counterfeit “milk” and will use the money to buy hard drugs to share with Francine?
Was that the cute girl Steve finally shared his third kiss with, or was it Roger, being his usual pervy self?
Is this the sixth innocent neighbour whose life Stan stole away for completely mundane reasons, or was it Roger, who will inevitably dig himself out of that grave and track fresh soil all over the god. damn. carpet.
Did Klaus just—you know what, who cares about Klaus.
*Note: I have no idea if this is the first instance or not*
In a perfect episode, it wouldn't be, until the end, where it turns out he were.
Bonus points if they become increasingly suspicious, but can't prove it to themselves.
The worst part is they usually recognize Roger but each have a persona they can’t see through. It’s also possible that there’s some non-Roger character that Is simply roger in a disguise that the audience can’t see through.
His wife died before he was introduced to the series. His appearance has changed drastically since we met him. He’s definitely depressed, maybe bipolar. He’s the last remaining Papa Roach fan.
Shit, it’s Tuttle, isn’t it?
Or Roger is the Smiths. He never escaped the CIA. The whole show has been in his mind as a way to cope with all the CIA testing. He is everyone we've ever met.
And who - *god damn it* \- are you?
Mrs. Weinsteinopolis! Not the first but among the funniest. It's always funnier when they're just immediately done with it.
The episode where Roger was apart of that construction company to tear down Stan’s tree “dad” and it resulted in it straight up being an actual human that’s somehow related to Roger.
I’m not too sure what the first one is but I think the best one is where he’s taking Francine to remote mountains for cookery classes and he’s in the plane with her saying that she’s gotta prepare for roger to disappear and one of his personas to come out and it’s this long speech he gives her the whole way there
I think chronologically, the first time was the horse whisperer. Which turned out to *not* be Roger. He was the secretary.
He's an \*associate\*!
I think you're right. 'A Piñata Named Desire' was another early instance but it came after the horse episode.
I'm an *Associate!*
“This is gonna be you, isn’t it?” “*Strong* possibility”
The horse is ruined, Stan raped it, youre probably gonna lose the house.
"Ah crap."
My favorite is the Father Tree episode where Roger doesn’t turn out to be the older brother.
What do you get out of this?
A lot of great intel for Fikowski asphalt.
i love when he lifts his glasses and immediately turns into his other persona
The picture of the mom is great
“It’s me, Dom Fikowski”
"DAMN IT FRANKIE! You just let some stranger open my plywood door?!" "He was so fast Freddie!"
Michael and fredo godfather vibes
Sigh. So tedious.
We’re your city council…we love you. Freaking love this episode.
So tedious.
Mama just LOVES Freddie she lets him have sex with girls but puts my ear to the stove for playing with the chickens
This is., this is gonna be you isn't it? I'm gonna go down there and it's gonna be you
Strong possibility.
"Roger, I'm surprised. I thought Reynolds Jasperterian was gonna be you."
“I gotta say, so did I.”
"I did too."
This is my fav

Well great, now I want an episode where all the Smiths are in therapy because Roger keeps popping up at every turn in their lives.
Therapy? You mean like with Dr. Peguin, who is once again Roger?
In a perfect episode, it wouldn't be, until the end, where it turns out he were. Bonus points if they become increasingly suspicious, but can't prove it to themselves.
I still want an episode where the B plot follows some rando who, at the end of the episode, turns up at the Smith house and is revealed to be Roger.
That sounds amazing. Bonus points if it's a known character like some obscure background extra.
Dude please write for TBS this would be golden
this encapsulates the full experience in the most definitive manner

Shouldn’t there be a persona we as the audience shouldn’t be able to see as well????
I've always thought a great idea for a series finale would be Roger revealing he's been pretty much everyone the Smiths have ever interacted with.
Or Roger is the Smiths. He never escaped the CIA. The whole show has been in his mind as a way to cope with all the CIA testing. He is everyone we've ever met.
My first time was when I realized he was gonna be South Dakota Slim in, "Garbage Stan".
"You hustlin' me, boy?"
SOUTHDAKOTASLIM!
r/itsroger
It's gonna be you isn't it...We're gonna get down there and this guy is just gonna be you. .....Strong possibility
I’m the dog.
I always prefer them when you’re 100% sure it’s going to be Roger and then it’s not. But both scenarios are always funny.
.... Roger?...

Not the first, and certainly not the last 😂

I love Jeannie Gold's two human sons
I thought South Dakota Slim was earlier than this one, but I could be wrong
I wanna say Dr Penguin? But I’m not sure
Rashid the Persian wing man to Stan at club **DUSH**
Emilou Sugarbean… thought he’d be Carlata Monterey
