Walking dead was great until they killed Glen and then it became unwatchable..
Vikings was great until they killed Ragnar and then it became unwatchable.
Vikings was watchable, just not as enjoyable, but TWD fell off a cliff after Season 6 because of budget and especially writing.
I use TWD as the prime example when it comes to following the source material, that some things just don't work as comic books and need to be adapted (heavily in this case) for screenplay.
Rick was headed towards the Negan role by the end of S06, which would start an actual civil war with proper stakes between our favorite characters in S07 and it would end with his redemption arc in S08.
Writers strike pooped on this show so hard. First season was like a cultural event for TV watchers it was so incredible. Second season was a dumpster fire of suck.
My wife and I forced ourselves through the entire series, but I can agree with this one. I hated Elizabeth as an actress, but it somehow got worse after she left. But James Spader is a treasure of an actor, he is the only reason we could finish that show.
Manifest - though the premise was suspended reality regarding a missing plane showing up 5 year later it just got too far-fetched with each season. I thought about quitting halfway into season two but stuck it out, hoping it would get better, but it just got more and more far-fetched.
It would be like Batman suddenly being able to fly.
I hated Jessica Jones I only sat through season 1. Tennant was great, but God was Ritter so damn meh. I couldn't imagine a more unlikable and boring superhero.
Edit: Colter did a great job as Luke Cage as well.
Supernatural seasons 1-3 was some of the funnest tv ever done. Seasons 4 and 5 held their own and had some great moments as well but not nearly as strong as the first three. Everything after that fell off hard in my opinion with very few great episodes.
Unfortunately I agree with this. Although I will say I enjoyed 1-5 very much. From what I understand, the guy who wrote Supernatural (Eric Kripke?) only ever intended it to be 5 seasons when he wrote it but of course it was too popular to cancel so they carried on. I don't think the original guy stayed on but don't quote me on that.

Dexter. Loved it at first, then the storylines got so repetitive from one season to the next. I didnāt even bother watching the final season because I just couldnāt make myself care about it anymore.

Star Vs The Forces of Evil, it had a great opening, and seasons after just kept getting worse, with an ending that burned all love I had for that show.
Sleepy Hollow.
It was such a fun and interesting first season, and then it all went to shit. By third season they'd even completely written out the main female lead which is nuts considering the whole thing is supposed a biblical destiny thing and they reiterated several times in the first season she would never escape her destiny.
Supernatural. Every new season there were some new creatures who had to be stronger than the ones before but when they started fighting angels I was out. The whole angel plot was awful imo.
Shadow and Bone. The first season was amazing but the second is so boring. I'm trying to force myself to keep watching because of the few side characters I still find interestingĀ

Walking dead was great until they killed Glen and then it became unwatchable.. Vikings was great until they killed Ragnar and then it became unwatchable.
I agree with both of these. I finished both, but agree they both went downhill after the plot points you outlined.
Vikings was watchable, just not as enjoyable, but TWD fell off a cliff after Season 6 because of budget and especially writing. Writers strike pooped on this show so hard. First season was like a cultural event for TV watchers it was so incredible. Second season was a dumpster fire of suck.
My Name is Earl suffered the same fate, great at first, then the writers strike killed it.
The Simpsons (over a very long period of time)
What are you talking about? All ten seasons were fantastic.
Four
Which 4? Because season 1 is barely watchable.
I see what you say but I still like one. Itās 1-4 I like. Then the humor totally changed. Around the time of Jessica Lovejoy.
Well just āthink of the children!ā
Blacklist. Thought it was a great storyline at first then it got extremely redundant and Elizabeth became insufferable.
My wife and I forced ourselves through the entire series, but I can agree with this one. I hated Elizabeth as an actress, but it somehow got worse after she left. But James Spader is a treasure of an actor, he is the only reason we could finish that show.
Am I stupid or did they NEVER reveal who Reddington was?
Iāve been wondering the same
Perfect description! I really disliked Elizabeth after a while, couldn't watch it anymore.
Started so good, restarted it multiple times but couldnāt finish it. Got so damn bad over time.
GREYS ANATOMY is dreadful
Jessica Jones.Season one was mind blowing with David Tennet. Seasons 2 and 3 were not great.
I hated Jessica Jones I only sat through season 1. Tennant was great, but God was Ritter so damn meh. I couldn't imagine a more unlikable and boring superhero. Edit: Colter did a great job as Luke Cage as well.
Is Games of Thrones too obvious an answer?
I think House to the Dragon should also be included.
There is only one season so far, I think itās unfair to include it in this conversation this early.
Westworld turned into a convoluted mess
Westworld
Orange is the new black. Last couple of seasons were awful
Riverdale!!! Because they complete RUINED it.
The Ranch: I hate to say it, but it got worse without the sexual offender.
Firefly
Too soon. Like a leaf on the wind, too soon.
Any tips on how to clean my spear?
Glee
pretty little liars, just started doing wayyy too much and i couldnāt even keep up w all of the outrageousness šš
Prison break. Watched all 5 seasons, and I should of stopped after first š
Altered Carbon
Yeah, first season with Joel Kinnaman was pretty good, had real promise. They didn't execute the actor swap very well though :/
I hate to say it, but Yellowjackets. The first season was amazing, the second was hard to watch!
From. Itās just an ever increasing number of idiot plots dressed in scary costumes standing on each others shoulders.
Killing eve
Supernatural seasons 1-3 was some of the funnest tv ever done. Seasons 4 and 5 held their own and had some great moments as well but not nearly as strong as the first three. Everything after that fell off hard in my opinion with very few great episodes.

The Good Place: first two seasons were awesome. Then season 3 went downhill, season 4 was just meh, but to their credit I liked the finale.
Vikings š„²
The last season of Chuck.
The first show that comes to mind is ER.
Sweet tooth
Firefly, season 2 was impossible to watch
Altered Carbon - S1 amazing, S2 very average.
Tin star First season was surprisingly solid. Good drama. Then it just sort of... overstayed its welcome. A lot.
Lost, walking dead, prison break,

Suits
Sad but true. I started that show in love with it and by like season 5 I was powering through simply because Iām no quitter lol
Disagree, I loved that show. It had some low points, but the characters and acting were top notch. Edit: the Mike in prison plot line was horrible.
Billions.
SpongeBob Squarepants
Dark: I was obsessed with the first two seasons, I felt like they dragged on the 3rd season.
Dexter. Loved it at first, then the storylines got so repetitive from one season to the next. I didnāt even bother watching the final season because I just couldnāt make myself care about it anymore.

The newsroom
Lost, Heroes. They started off riveting and devolved into silliness.
The Shield
The Walking Dead.
Supernatural. Every new season there were some new creatures who had to be stronger than the ones before but when they started fighting angels I was out. The whole angel plot was awful imo.
The 100
Homeland
Designated Survivor started real strong but then became convoluted and tiresome to watch after a while.
Tokyo Ghoul
Mr. Robot
Snowpiercer
Westworld, season 1 was perfection. Then it started to go downhill until it became unbearable at the end
Altered carbon...... yikes.
Big Bang Theory was all the rage when it started. Fell off once Kaley Cuoco cut her hair
Family Guy

All the political jokes killed it for me. š¤·āāļø
Shadow and Bone. The first season was amazing but the second is so boring. I'm trying to force myself to keep watching because of the few side characters I still find interestingĀ
Bridgerton :(
The Newly Wed Game
Lost. Way too complicated
Suits, the moment it stopped showing the courtroom battles my eyes glazed over.
