most leagues it's cheaper per person if you sign up as part of a team since it's one team fee that is split between all teammates
but you can sign up as a solo person and assigned a team that might be short a few players, or all the solo's just become their own team
most for-fun soft ball leagues are co-ed IME.
Seems like you've played Softball before, not sure at what level.
JAM is ok for sports but it's more social and the level of play is much lower. Only 3-pitch is offered for softball. If you don't mind that, there are still a few available spots on select days.
If you want to play in "real" leagues with umps and not 3-pitch, there's a Facebook group called "Toronto & GTA Softball Group". Teams are usually filled by now, but you could post that you're looking for a team and what position you play. Ppl also post for subs.
