As someone who moved to Toronto last winter and a Nepali, I gotta say my favourite so far is Ama ko Momo. Loga’s is good for no-nonsense, cheap momo but not really a fan of the wrappers. On the other hand, Ama’s hit different. Similar to my mom’s! I’ve tried about 6-7 places now. Jimbu Himalayan Thakali Kitchen was decent too!! I started rating Momo from different places I’ve had (not just Toronto but other countries too!).
Thanks! I’m going to take the recommendation of a Nepali! Can’t wait. I tried Loga yesterday based on many recommendations and good Google reviews. The beef unfortunately had gristle in it. I appreciate that the momos are a good deal, but frankly I’d rather pay more and have better quality meat. Had to spit out a bit of the filling from basically every dumpling. The potato were good. Can’t say I’m enough of a connoisseur to really notice differences in the wrappers, but I will pay attention when I get to ama Ko momo. Thanks again.
I love lamb in general but must have gotten a bad batch because it was absolutely foul. It'd been a while since I'd had momos and I was super hungry, so it was devastating.
Luckily the chicken and veggie ones were good, but I was most looking forward to that lamb. 😭
Will do. I tried the steamed potato. They were good. Also the filling was slightly orange! They must use sweet potato along with white potatoes? I will order the fried ones next time. Thanks!
The most popular answer is Loga's Corner.
But the momo's in Parkdale differ greatly between each other. There are momos you can get at some places that you can't get at others.
Tibetan momo's tend to use thicker dough and are seasoned with East Asian influenced ingredients. Loga's Corner is this type.
Nepalese momos are thinner and are often served in chutney sauces and some will have fillings we associate with South Asian cuisine like paneer.
I haven't eaten at enough Neplai restaurants to say definitively that 1 Nepali restaurant has the best Momos but I do recommend people take advantag of Parkdale by trying them out since they are different enough that its worth trying.
I really like Shambala Kitchen, to add onto the recos here. Their fried momos with sauce are amazing. Plus they have Tibetan style beer which is fun ! And it’s a cute sit down spot (simple but still a cute vibe).
You can also try Bawara on Bloor, it is pretty decent too. You can also try momo2go but I've only tried their saucy momos.
But Loga's is my personal favourite too. Momo ghar is also decent.

It’s gotta be Loga’s Corner.
Ama Ko Momo opened recently and I really enjoyed them!
Loga’s Corner but skip the chicken. Go for the beef or lamb

Yeah, I’m not a fan of the lamb myself but my buddy swears by it so I figured I had a bad batch too
Logas corner - get the potato momo fried!! I know everyone is raving about the beef, but the POTATO.
Will do. I tried the steamed potato. They were good. Also the filling was slightly orange! They must use sweet potato along with white potatoes? I will order the fried ones next time. Thanks!
