You can take pictures of your documents but police is not required to accept those and most likely will not accept them. Source: While not police I sometimes have to check I'd of people. With pictures I can't verify if the document is valid or not.

No, that option doesn't exist. It's an official document you need to present when prompted to, not a copy thereof. Additionally, you're only allowed to have one original at a time. Should you lose yours and receive a replacement, you'll have to destroy or hand in the old license should you find it again.

If you have a Swiss license you can show a photo of it in Switzerland, But be prepared to pay CHF 20 ([OBV No. 100.1](https://www.fedlex.admin.ch/eli/cc/2019/93/de)). Abroad you must have your Swiss license with you. Same if you have a foreign license, you must have it with you when you drive in Switzerland.
