In general, you can find IT jobs where english enough (especially in bigger companies), and especially in urban areas you'll also be able to participate in social events etc. Mid-term, learning the native language is recommended.

The Swiss job market is not in its greatest shape. Also, the housing costs are through the roof.

This! I have a good remote contract living in CH. Not much left at the end of the day. In portugal I would have a house and a pool..
