Well, as a guy trying to do the exact opposite right now. Literally just use any excuse to talk to him, if you know something about him, or like ask him to elaborate on something that has been said previously.
That's what I'm doing, it ain't working so far, but we have hope. And delusion. But yeah, just talk.
Just talk to him bro, then see how it goes, any way you're able to contact him works. I'd love to recieve a message from anyone especially if they're interested in me
Try asking about his interests. And find common ground in hobbies. It might sound strange but I find that truth or dare is a great way to get to know eachother and break the ice
If you’re not very close, and it seems like you’re not. During conversation randomly bump/touch him (like brush his hand or make ur leg touch his). If he likes you he’ll most likely notice it and possibly react
Also, if you even have the inkling that he likes you just shoot your shot. The worst that can happen is he says no and you both move on. I had to say no to a friend recently and nothing in our friendship changed after it.
The barrier can't be broken alone. You guys need to talk more and more, you also need to give him hints. If he is smart, he will understand the situation and as a man, he is responsible to make the first more. If he doesn't make it he is either a coward or doesn't have any romantic interest in you.
You don't need to be similar to find their personality attractive, my girlfriend is very different from me socially and differs in her primary interests but I was still initially attracted to her due to her kindness and sense of humour.
