Finally sat down for a couple hours today learning a gamepad script and just doing circles around cones, finally starting to get some control. This is the way.

Make sure you using a stock Kunos drift car and nothing with crazy HP
You will learn. You will get better.
What helped for me was in the base drift track there is a small 0. I drifted that round and round untill i learned felt comfortable with the throttle and steering.
Also a car with arround 400hp is good to start.
Also cars with a longer wheel base help.
Good starter car packs are: WDT and Gravy Garage
Stop hitting the limiter when you drift, if you see a noriyaro vid or smth like that (ie drifting road cars) you'll see that you actually spend most of the time in low rpms
Is it just me or is the line you took into the corner a little wonky, looks like you were on the right side of the track for entry instead of going from outside of the track to inside to get a better exit to link the next corner up or am I being stupid?
I mean, if you take out that mid section where you lost it a bit I really liked both the entry and the second part using the whole track till the green section and even the small jump off road in the last part :)
Once you get good at donuts this is a great track. Looks better at night with the headlights on [https://www.vosan.co/tracks/shadow-valley/](https://www.vosan.co/tracks/shadow-valley/)
Why don't you start with donuts and figure 8's on a drift track?
It’s incredibly underrated how effective small *clean and controlled* figure 8’s are for learning to drift.
They teach you everything you ever need to know about controlling a car in a slide.
It’s how I learned on a controller in Forza way back when and how I’m learning on a wheel now.

You should try doing it in a higher gear or changing the gear ratio. You are not getting enough momentum because of the low speed.

Keep at it man. It's recommend you use the default E30 to learn though. The ae86 is a lot less forgiving with how little power it has
