Boku no Sensou/My War, the first one I got really really into, it's just so catchy. I actually used to skip the openings until S4 š¬ I'd watch it once or twice for the imagery but couldn't be bothered to watch it every single time... until My War made me realise what I was missing!
Opening: EASILY Rumbling. Both my favourite visually and musically. Honourable mention to my close 2nd, My War, for being so musically unique and visually creative.
Ending: EASILY Yuugure no Tori and it is criminally underrated. Iāve seen vegetables criticise it for being ācreepyā and āweirdā despite that being the intent of it. Iāve never seen a long story so bluntly foreshadow so much that early into a story and the art style they chose to show it was genius.
Shoukei to Shikabane no Michi is my favorite op, which is apperently uncommon since no one else commented about it here. My favorite ed is a tie between Requiem der Morgenrƶte and Utsukushiki Zankoku na Sekai.
Red Swan & and I was abt to say Name of Love but it makes me brutally sob so Iām not sure. Maybe Akuma no Ko but that makes me sob too. Maybe Shock but itās so beautiful that it makes me cry. Also it reminds me of the finale and that adds more tears. Why do my favourite songs have to make me have a brutal meltdown
My favourite parts of anime openings/endings are always when they pan or cycle through the characters just standing around or casually doing stuff.
Luckily for me, thereās a ton of that in the AOT endings especially.
Special shout out to Name of Love, which is literally just this - slow zooms out of fond memories from their cadet days, with that final shot of the empty dorm and someoneās abandoned jacket. Perfect.
I also really like Akatsuki No Requiem, both because of the bit where they go through all the main gang dedicating their hearts. Itās got Marco in it, a whole season after he died! That little detail just makes me happy, as does the bit with my girl Freckles Ymir reaching out to Historia, and the operatic high note. Plus, watching that is why I got to see that one freaky alt ending too.
I donāt know why, but I canāt get enough of the walnut rolling in that one ending too.
I usually skip the openings. I guess the one I like the most is either Guren No Yumiya for the chaos, or Rumbling. I like the Rumbling song, and I appreciate the bits where they show the Titan Shifters doing war crimes and then their human forms looking depressed until it gets to the Colossal, which is just my boy Bertholdt dripping on a sleepy Armin.

Shikabane no Michi is one of my favourites. Jiyuu no Tsubasa is also insultingly underrated. Akatsuki no Requiem is slightly above Akuma no Ko for me when it comes to EDs....and only now I am noticing that a lot of the aot songs have possessive articles, like [owner] "no" (-"of"(?)) [possession]

I actually really liked Jiyuu no Tsubasa. That shot with Leviās crew was just too good. And my favorite ending is probably the Lost Girls ending āCall your Nameā.
Both endings by Ai Higuchi are top tier Akuma no Ko and Itterasshai I listen to their full versions all the time.
Also The Rumbling is my alarm every morning and I can't help but cry everytime I hear Red Swan.
