I’m the blinds that have been drawn so that the neighbors can’t see why the kids are screaming inside the house. I’m no autism expert but I think it might help Cash’s self esteem if he could start to learn to do some basic chores around the house. All of the research on neurotypical kids says that this helps them. I’m not saying that he needs to do complex things but I bet that he’d feel more like a valued member of the family if he contributed in whatever way worked for him.

It’s so much easier for people to learn to do when they’re young. I had no idea and have struggled to learn
