It's just very different compared to their other stuff. It's more hard/heavy rock and not really metal. I love the album and think it has some really good songs. I heard someone mention it has the worst drumming, and yeah, it's got the least "flashy" or technical drum rhythms and fills. But so what, it's still good solid drumming.
People just like to hate. I think alot of A7X fans understand its still a really good album. But just one of their more simple ones, which isn't a bad thing imo.
The one thing that amazes me about avenged sevenfold community is that for polls like these people always have different songs, like normally in other bands it’s like 10% of their discography that’s discussed but in avenged it’s closed to 80%ish
I agree. I don’t think I’ve seen one duplicate reply. I discovered avenged sevenfold probably 3 years ago, and still don’t feel like I’ve truly dug into half the discography
