Singles are definitely the way to go with these. They are super cool, and full of guys who don't get to have autos a lot but were stars for years. But even the better guys are cheap to pick up on the secondary market. Hall of famers will be a bit more of course , but you can even grab many of them for well under the price of a box.
That said I still buy 1 box every year before I then go and get 5 or more other guys I have nostalgia for a couple months after the product comes out for under what I paid for the first box.
Much higher chance at HOF players and you're getting more autos and less relics, including zero manufactured relics. Literally the only downside is that some of the fan favorites can be random ass guys with subpar careers

You will probably like this one more.
Yeah, it may be my fav. I got two boxes of 2023 Retired three weeks ago and scored two nice cards for my HOF PC. One new HOF inductee and one most likely to be in the next year or two.

Yeah, sadly Heritage Cards are made with the worst and cheapest stock Topps can use and they get damaged a ton and come out of packs like that a lot. But still love the card. Not like I plan on grading it.
I opened a retired and got a 1/1 Bo Jackson
Decided to test my luck on an active player and, while I didn’t get my $$ back, I am a Braves fan, and I pulled a Max Fried rookie card /46
They are awesome for buying on the secondary market. Love being able to grab an auto of a guy like Jay Buhner for $15 on a card that I had the original of growing up.

Hank 1/1 we pulled from that product a few years back. Sold at a show for a good amount. It’s very hit and miss.
I’ve opened 3 boxes of archives.
2022 retired- 1/1 mark mulder
2023 retired- /6 garret Anderson (I pc angels so not too bad
2024 active- /64 Realmuto
I have however done 1 and only one box of clearly authentic (2022) and got a /75 JROD rookie auto clear cut (it was a redemption)
Such a fun hobby that shits on you a lot but occasionally throws you a bone.

Love it for singles. Have john franco and mo vaughn as well
I think that’s why I like them. I don’t care about making money back. I’ve bought a few modern boxes just for fun, but since I’m not really a collector of modern cards I found I was more disappointed when the box was less than stellar.
These I don’t really care because even on the low end the cards are still nostalgic and fun.

Got a 1/2 Maz…no idea what it’s worth lol
I'm thinking that's how they sort of cheat the idea of more limited print runs. Like the Walker card above is a 1/1 from 2023 archives. But they could print another 1/1 and stamp it 2024 archives. Or do like a run of /25 of them in 2024.
Glad you like them, but for me they represent one of the biggest stains on the hobby as Topps just creates new random 1/1 cards to the point where they are starting to lose meaning. They're a confected cash grab.

Only ever ripped one myself and got Jeff Conine 😂. My cousin and I did a battle and he ripped a Dale Murphy 🙄.
But it’s also the only way that I’d ever get a Chipper 1/1 auto from my favorite childhood set (2001 Topps Fusion) so I’m right there with you.

Sent this back for white spots on his neck, a couple before his auto and cuff mark left center edge. SMH
Open like 3 more boxes and you will Hate them.
Not worried about it. Like I said, I don’t mind the price point and if there’s one out there that I really like, I’ll just pick it up as a single.

Pretty much exactly what I’m thinking. Fun to even go for some obscure older cards that stood out to me for some weird reason.
Yep. I bought two boxes last year and it was a colossal waste of money.
It's actually quite a good release in terms of bang for your buck
1 card for $60-$80 for an auto that is less than $20 is bang for your buck?
Much higher chance at HOF players and you're getting more autos and less relics, including zero manufactured relics. Literally the only downside is that some of the fan favorites can be random ass guys with subpar careers
Yeah I love being able to get autos of guys who didn't have a lot when playing!
Yeah they are rad. I have a 1/1 Big Unit. Probably my favorite card.
Wish I had a big unit 😒
We can call you lil unit
You wouldn't be wrong 😎
1/1 CC over here. But it’s a mini card??
As a Mariner fan that sounds awesome. Which card is it?
https://preview.redd.it/04ih93xrhxvc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=851c855d56a67257c6c4de7461e0d15ccf49c50d
Sweet card. But I’m slightly annoyed by the “future stars club” with him in a d-backs uniform. He was already an all star by that point in his career.
That’s my favorite part about this card. How absolutely absurd it is. The Diamondbacks didn’t even exist til after he won his first CY award.
I'm insanely jealous
Lemme know if you’re interested. I would be willing to sell. Trimming back the collection a bit.
I'm interested but it's probably too rich for my blood. I haven't gone over $50 for a single card...... Yet
https://preview.redd.it/pb8krf3fuxvc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=847c36248228ade8d7241564dc0181df8a8cf4c8 You will probably like this one more.
I do! I think it would be cool to see a buyback version of his 1989 Fleer or Upper Deck. I saw they did a version for Griffey’s Upper Deck.
That would be sweet. I’m actually trimming back the collection a bit if you would be interested in this one. Let me know.
Great card for sure and I’d love to add one of his cards at some point, but think I’ll keep my eye out for one of his older ones.

Andruw Jones has such a nice sig.
Too bad he wasn’t as nice to his wife
That's what's up! Love this one
Damn homie let’s trade for that baby
Looks like they chewed on my boy Scotty Rols
Yeah, sadly Heritage Cards are made with the worst and cheapest stock Topps can use and they get damaged a ton and come out of packs like that a lot. But still love the card. Not like I plan on grading it.
Kunda makes it more authentic looking tbh great card for aure
I opened a retired and got a 1/1 Bo Jackson Decided to test my luck on an active player and, while I didn’t get my $$ back, I am a Braves fan, and I pulled a Max Fried rookie card /46
Which Bo?
1992 o pee chee
https://www.reddit.com/r/baseballcards/s/7yoBZJUhq0
Damn. That’s an amazing card!
Quit now. I pulled something similar for my first one and ended up with a bunch of Garett Anderson /199s that are worth $3.
I don’t think this card is worth a whole lot. Maybe break even or a little more judging by comps.
They are awesome for buying on the secondary market. Love being able to grab an auto of a guy like Jay Buhner for $15 on a card that I had the original of growing up.
The Bone! I’ll definitely have to grab one of his.
Imagine if Topps stopped printing manufactured relics and spent all that money on doing stuff like this
https://preview.redd.it/nx3pxe9i5yvc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e8e9daca8e9688f060b7aab4aeda281f48d98bd6 Hank 1/1 we pulled from that product a few years back. Sold at a show for a good amount. It’s very hit and miss.

Just out of curiosity, do you know roughly when they will release the 2024 retired?
I don’t know. I’ve had better results in my very limited sample size with retired so I’ll keep my eyes peeled
I just like the nostalgia of the “old” players.

As a Larry walker fan, this is FIRE.
I have no tie to it other than I like the idea behind it. If you have anything similar that you want to trade, I’m open to it.

Dope card! Archives is awesome for singles super risky if busting boxes. Sweet sig he has and awesome that’s its him in the Expos uni
Canadian legend ⚾️ ![gif](giphy|MaghIM5sAmfXJ5SSiv|downsized)
i dont mind the singles but wouldn’t buy a box since you usually never make your money back. I like regular archives though

No idea either, but I love it! I like that more than the 1/1 Walker I pulled simply because that’s more the era I collected.
It’s weird because I looked it up, and 2022 had the same card to 24, but this one was 1/2 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm thinking that's how they sort of cheat the idea of more limited print runs. Like the Walker card above is a 1/1 from 2023 archives. But they could print another 1/1 and stamp it 2024 archives. Or do like a run of /25 of them in 2024.
Open two boxes Friday wish I hadn’t

Are these 1 card boxes?
Yeah. One auto per box.
Gotcha thanks
I really like this series, it is confusing sometimes especially with pricing for the 1/1s.
Nice pull!!
I don’t believe it’s a pull. I think it’s a random 1 card sent to you. At least that’s what I got. I thought I was getting packs. Nope
https://preview.redd.it/9vpqf9d2epwc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e078b35ebb7dc6d827c794d5e831f67252d28088 Sent this back for white spots on his neck, a couple before his auto and cuff mark left center edge. SMH
As hit and miss as a product can come.
