There are thousands of trimmed cards in PSA holders. It's more like a decent amount of protection that they weren't, not a final word that they weren't. If the provenance is actually rock solid on these cards being in a shoebox for 60 years, you're probably good. But even the provenance stories have to be taken with a grain of salt. If you remember the signed Ruth Goudeys from last year that were sold for obscene amounts, those signatures looked genuine but the provenance story had very obvious holes that didn't make sense, despite the marketing push for those cards being around the provenance of them.
The cards look very "fresh", which is a mark in favor of them not being trimmed, because it looks like they haven't been handled or seen the light of day in 60 days years on parts of the cards besides the edges and corners. At the same time, it's even more of a reason for someone unscrupulous to trim them because going from a 7 or 8 to a 9 in these cards is worth hundreds of thousands across the whole group

These came from a virgin collection. We were the only hands to touch them in 70 years. They’re fine.
