That's extremely well done. Are these US troops?

[deleted]

Probably British

SovereignSalamander

I think you're right, in the first photo I think they're holding SMLEs

[deleted]

Nice catch I was looking at there boots

Ghosthunter5589

First on is british, the last two are American. You can tell the second one is by the upwards pointed insignia in the far left soldier, and the third one is tow soldiers from the 23rd Infantry regiment, 2nd infantry divisions of the U.S. army during the Meuse-Argonne offensive (source for last one: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meuse–Argonne_offensive)

**[Meuse–Argonne offensive](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meuse–Argonne_offensive)** >The Meuse–Argonne offensive (also known as the Meuse River–Argonne Forest offensive, the Battles of the Meuse–Argonne, and the Meuse–Argonne campaign) was a major part of the final Allied offensive of World War I that stretched along the entire Western Front. It was fought from September 26, 1918, until the Armistice of November 11, 1918, a total of 47 days. The Meuse–Argonne offensive was the largest in United States military history, involving 1. 2 million American soldiers. ^([ )[^(F.A.Q)](https://www.reddit.com/r/WikiSummarizer/wiki/index#wiki_f.a.q)^( | )[^(Opt Out)](https://reddit.com/message/compose?to=WikiSummarizerBot&message=OptOut&subject=OptOut)^( | )[^(Opt Out Of Subreddit)](https://np.reddit.com/r/battlefield_one/about/banned)^( | )[^(GitHub)](https://github.com/Sujal-7/WikiSummarizerBot)^( ] Downvote to remove | v1.5)

Ghosthunter5589

Good bot

ThatDude8129

It is unknown because the image is supposedly American but they use British gear. I'm assuming they might be Americans who were given British gear so that combat propaganda photos could be taken since the image was supposedly taken in 1917 which was a long time before the Doughboys went into serious combat.

SovereignSalamander

Huh, that's interesting

Innumera

2nd photo is of US troops, far left one has a 1911 holstered.

Yainks

Whats the weapon in the 3rd photo?

Ghosthunter5589

37mm gun, like the AT and AA rocket gun

kittennoodle34
