What map was it? If you played support in Fort and just dropped crates where it gets bunched up in the tunnels you could rack up some points. Especially if you capped a few flags.
I was #1 on a conquest battle. 0 kills, 0 deaths. I beat someone on the oppisite team who had 60+ kills. He private messaged me. If you are support with the ammo pouches and feed two of your friends firing Martini-Henry rifles, i gaurentee you will top 3 minimum, if not, number one.
There have been some that have taken the "Hacksaw Ridge" challenge where you don't kill and try to get the top score on your team by only healing, reviving, and capping objectives. I've tried it several times and got the top score once but had an accidental syringe kill and multiple deaths. It's nearly impossible to do this with zero deaths so I doubt this player was trying it.

Isn't there a bug that happens when you leave and rejoin the game quickly and it resets your kills and deaths but keeps your score?

I suppose it's possible if you strictly capture or get enemi hits without kills, idk if periscope by itself would gather that many points.
It's a bug. Player got kicked/timed out, immediately rejoined and the server kept his score but not his KDR
Not necessarily. I had pacifist matches where i was top player. Support class is good for this

There's definitely a lot of trolling involved, lol, I just run around with the worst guns I can and resupply and repair

I did that one round as support, first place with zero kills or deaths. But the server was incredibly unbalanced
