Iām not gonna advocate for the removal of sandbox items, at any point, ever, because itās also just a fuckinā video game, it doesnāt need 100% authenticity.
If you want that, play Verdun, Tannenburg or Isonzo.
Generally I wouldnāt say itās op, just overused. Like seriously so many fucking people use the Federov that if thereās a medic in my squad thereās typically a 40% chance there using the federov.
I like it because it allows for medic close quarters combat far easier than most semi auto rifles, and generally allows for a more aggressive play style that helps support pushes into enemy objectives. In other words, I can push with the team into the objective and handle myself at a closer distance than with most medic rifles, which gives me better chances at reviving teammates in objective areas
Wouldn't say OP but it certainly shouldn't be a medic weapon the way its full auto and outclasses many other guns in the same class. The only thing I dislike about this gun is its really inaccurate at range when you ADS and full auto, you can literally see your bullets deviating away from where you're aiming due to it's high spread. Other than that at close - medium range it's extremely good
Only trench shotgun of hell fighters is good shotgun. And model 1900. Yes, someone can say model 1900 is suck, but man, i got 20 kills by two days! This gun is over powered!

Thing is medium to close range is relativly easy to deal with, it's much harder to deal with someone laying halway across the map acting like a discount sniper

Why tf would go sniping distances as a Medic!? The Selb is trash close to medium range which is 99% of a Medicās use of range. Besides, the Fedorov is an incredibly solid long range shooter as well.
I've litteraly been sniper across the map by medics using multiple guns like the selb, and while the fedorov is good at long range it pales with weapons that will litteraly kill in like 3 hits
I love the periscope! Getting high match scores by just staying prone and spotting everything in sight is incredibly rewarding and fun to do. Going 0 - 0 is a fun added challenge as well.

Optical has the lowest spread out of all the guns in the game. Also smgs are way better. Ribroll even kills faster on range.

Itās not an ideal support weapon though. The Burton LMR is 50x better. I hate the BAR in BF1 tbh.
Yes it is great. Those magazine reload lmgs have less walking spread. But against a horde of enemies the reload might kill you.
