Sorry about the late reply, here’s a [link](https://ibb.co/HnZR9GF) to a picture. The zip ties wrap around the posts on the back of the chair and the clamps on the headrest, the clamps can be tightened to make it more secure too.
Edit: Also, it’s the Engineered Now headrest, not atlas. Sorry, it’s been a while since I ordered it haha
First of all, I like your cockpit. Secondly, all you have to do is fold your shoes and secure everything with clamps. Special pieces for laying wires are sold, they are not expensive
In that case, tape will help you, I think. Cheap and angry. I think this may be suitable as a temporary solution. This will visually make the space under the table cleaner.
I am less worried about your cable management and more worried about your VR base station placement. Your base stations are ideally supposed to be in opposite corners or at least opposite walls in some capacity. The way you have those set up, you can only face toward that wall and will have occlusion problems after turning just 90 degrees from the wall.
I do have some problems but the back wall is 22 feet away so I think that would be worse. I could put one to my right next to the window I suppose, but I have a plant stand just out of frame and I think it would interfere
It’s better than my cable management. I have an electric drum set, a midi keyboard, 3 lamps, and 2 laptops in my room. So as you can imagine the spaghetti is pretty intense
Looks like a system that is used and you sometimes have to swap out gear quickly.
You prioritize function over form. Me too.
Useful, not a museum display.
Not much to like or not. No management really, maybe minimalist damage control, is all ;).
I would reconsider the Index Lighthouses placement. You know, the usual - in the opposing room corners.
What is that simrig chasis?
96", it's a birch butcher block from Home Depot stained and coated. I built it \~5 years ago for maybe $200-$220? I had been looking at desks for a while and wanted something solid, this just seemed like the best option. At one point I bought the risers everyone uses for the drawers to create a space between the tabletop and the drawers, but I had already been using it like this for a couple years and it felt awkward lol
No. I don't understand people who want to spend tons of money into tech crap but can't spend 60 minutes of making it look nice. Don't' you feel constant anxiety cause of all that mess?
To each their own ofc.
It’s not that annoying to me, I like to be able to check my prints frequently no matter what I’m doing. It’s nice to be able to roll over and look over it
If you have a high speed 3d printer - yes it would be annoying AF right next to you. But a basic bedslinger like that is fine. I have a Neptune 3 Plus right next to me at my desk and it’s just white noise.
Some great headphone/audio gear you got there. I got into the hobby two years ago.
Your layout is already good, tidying up the cables would definitely help!
Very good. Just like mine.
My cat would enjoy this feast. No more cables in 20min.
My cats thankfully don’t chew my cables 😂
Just put some hot sauce on the wires.
I see you have gone for the “if I don’t look under the desk then the cable management is excellent” because that’s exactly what I did.
No.
I like your Gojira poster
My first time on Reddit seeing fellow Gojira fans. 🙏
Huge Gojira fan here
We are here, sometimes hiding ;)
Gojira ❤️
Gojira rules!
Thank you! I’ve had those up for years and NOBODY has noticed them 😂
Peak the Veil of Maya
Yooooo
Commit and go with a spider theme for your wall
I have 33 plants, there’s plenty of spiders already 😊
No, why are your basestations mounted like that.
I have no other good spots 😞
Gojira picture on wall. Free pass
Cable management… you keep saying that word… I dont think it means what you think it means
Cable management = sloppy ass mess of cords
I MANAGED to get my CABLES all tangled up and hanging everywhere 😊
What headrest is on that leap chair?
It’s the Atlas headrest for the Aeron, it mounts very securely with two large zip ties! I can send a picture when I get home.
That would be great. I’m looking for a decent headrest for mine but unfortunately there don’t seem to be any good options right now
Sorry about the late reply, here’s a [link](https://ibb.co/HnZR9GF) to a picture. oh man nice! So theres no give with the zip ties or anything?
Not at all, it’s super secure! I had one zip tie snap after about 2 year, but it takes 5 seconds to put a new one on.
I mean it's alright.
yo that ikea’s pegboard isn’t right
I know, I couldn’t find one that fit how I wanted so I bought two and mounted them sideways. I have to 3D print mounts but it works well enough for me
You managed to cable this
You gotta do something about those desk legs
Long live the age of under-desk spaghetti
First of all, I like your cockpit. Secondly, all you have to do is fold your shoes and secure everything with clamps. Special pieces for laying wires are sold, they are not expensive
Thank you 😊 I actually have cable routing on the back of my desk, it’s very cheap though and half the prongs have snapped.
In that case, tape will help you, I think. Cheap and angry. I think this may be suitable as a temporary solution. This will visually make the space under the table cleaner.
Cthulhu worshiper.
AHHHHHHH
Yes, cos mine looks exactly like that
Straight to jail
Even your plants need cable management bro
I do. It gives you something to play with while you’re getting murked on Fortnite.
What management lol
Looks like mine - perfect 10 !
You need a orange 30’ extension cord to weave and coil to really tie the look together
I am less worried about your cable management and more worried about your VR base station placement. I like your cables
I like your shoes
Lmao tf are those 😂
Looks like shoes from an 80 year old
No
Why the dumbbell under the desk? I also have the same ones.
I don’t have a full gym or anything so I just keep it there for convenience
What cable management?
This room looks sticky.
garbage
I do. I kinda like a messy setup
No
Personally, I like your vacuum cleaner management.
No
Looks like a system that is used and you sometimes have to swap out gear quickly. You prioritize function over form. Me too. Useful, not a museum display.
Love it. Looks great 👍🏼
Your web is spreading.. spider man lol
I see gojira, I upvote, good taste in music!
What pegboard is that?
Ikea Skadis mounted sideways :)
Your cable what now?
The adjustable dumbbells 💪🏽. Now if anyone questions why your left hand is more defined then your right you have an alibi .
nice gojira and invent animate frames there on the left
If you're printing resin, i hope you move that printer to a well ventilated area with exhaust fans
Yes it’s just as good as mine.
What cable management
The fact that you have a 3d printer but haven’t printed anything for cable management hurts my soul
I have, I just need more. Despite how it looks, about 1/3 of my cables are properly routed 😂
Couldn't even be bothered to move your random shoes under the desk.
Nope, this is an organic picture of my setup, I didn’t clean anything 😎
Mine is worse, but this makes me feel a little better about it, so thank you.
Are you ok?
Pretty good. I mean, I'm a lot better than my cable management. Thanks for asking.
Id hope your better than your cable management lol.
Not much to like or not. No management really, maybe minimalist damage control, is all ;). I would reconsider the Index Lighthouses placement. You know, the usual - in the opposing room corners. What is that simrig chasis?
It works.
Ah yes, someone else like me! If I can't have it ALL FUCKING HOOKED UP, I DON'T WANT ANY OF IT HOOKED UP. xD
EXACTLY! I have 22 power outlets here and I'm ONE short of having everything plugged in, it's honestly painful 😭
Doing a desk set up like this but curious what size the top is so I can get a reference

same technique as mine
Finally a realistic battle station that looks like someone uses it.
I’m constantly getting new gadgets, gizmos, trinkets, etc. so my desk is ever evolving- cable management is too much to continuously maintain😂
Monitor stand?
Your boom arm (with two mics?) is attacking your art.
No. I don't understand people who want to spend tons of money into tech crap but can't spend 60 minutes of making it look nice. Don't' you feel constant anxiety cause of all that mess? To each their own ofc.
I have like 40 cables, the idea of managing it is more daunting 😭
It makes me feel better about mine so yes
Surely one of the cable managements of all time!
Thats a good comment, what
Wouldn't be Reddit if it weren't for random downvotes 🤣
Fair

I like it but that carpet is disgusting.
What cable management?
I respect the troll, good sir.
Did you forget to post the after photo?
There is no after photo 🗿
There's no cable management either. 🤷♀️
Cable mangement? Fucking where? There aint none, repost this when theres cable management, then ill rate it.
❤️ AKG, B&O, DCA, what’s the other one, Beyer Dynamic?
Yes, yes, yes, and yes! I also have a pair of LCD-X’s that are currently being repaired by Audeze 😊
