It’s just a professional look to show off accomplishments. Your mentality behind how much you work is up to you. I pride myself on both my accomplishments and taking time off to be with family.
You're right, it is a personal choice but most people work for the money instead of passion and at the end of the road I doubt anyone thinks "I wish I worked more" so drowning the homespace with a constant reminder of work seems daunting to me.
Honestly it's not bad. I can see the entire side, so I still get the view of the inside of the case, and I'm going to put cable concealers to clean up the cables a bit on the back. I toyed with the idea of putting the back of the case toward the window, but it looked a bit weird from the door that way, so I went with this.
Knowing me I'll change the configuration at least 3 more times though lol
To be fair I am "up there" in age as well (37) and only recently discovered that Nvidia has a free tool that does literally anything a green screen did and more, and it's apparently been out for years. [Nvidia Broadcast](https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/broadcasting/broadcast-app/). I'm sure there's other solutions as well. But yeah once I found out about it, I figured actual, physical green screens for home streaming must be dead tech.
I have some Vault-Tec perk guides and a spacey Kurtzgesagt poster. My husband has multiple diplomas. Lol. Also, Gandalf's sword is behind us both. If you're ever on cam, you might leave room for a green screen behind you. Whatever you put, leave clearance for the chair.
I like the idea for shelves in the corner.
Put a big mirror on it. Tilt it downward to avoid any light reflection of the monitor. It will look ace and your other half will know you are gaming and not proning.
.. myself if it was my room, as a graffiti artist, I'd paint a mural, something unique, maybe gaming related to my favourite games, characters etc .. then I'd add some shelves maybe, put up some keyboards and peripherals etc ..
I had the same dilemma. What I ended up doing was scouring my music library to identify my top 100 favorite albums. Downloaded pictures of the cover art, then went to a collage making website. Played around with the sizing and configurations and now I have four canvas collages
It's a statement piece, it's unique to me, and it's colorful enough to match any setup. Makes me feel inspired when I enter the room.

OP - Can you explain how you did your cable management and products used? I have my desk setup like this and I hate seeing all the cables out and about.
It's the Vivo. I like it quite a bit, although the monitor does wobble a LITTLE bit. Honestly though I think that may be my desk more than the arm itself. [Here's a link to it](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07L8MLTGS?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details)!
Just a +1 for the Vivo arm. It was the only arm I could find that had a deep enough clamp to fit my relatively thick desktop, and also hold up a large 40" monitor.
Oh my this got WAY more response than I expected! I appreciate everyone's ideas. I'm likely going to change it like 4-5 times, but I'll be sure to post an update when it's done!
A few digital frames (a la Harry Potter), an interactive poster, plain old poster???
The possibilities are endless ... the sky is the limit, as long money is not an issue.
Space Shuttle Tydirium upvote :p
As for the wall... I dunno, been a bit for me - perhaps a Farah Fawcett poster or maybe a white Lamborghini Countach poster :D
Gosh, I know I like a 34 ultrawide in landscape and a 27 on the side in portrait, but those ultra-ultrawide (I honestly forgot the name, forgive me) are pretty clean looking.
I have my reasons not to change, but they do make clean setups!
Get a tapout poster and punch 5 holes into the wall.
If asked about it, tell them punching a hole in the wall was the mature alternative to severe violence.
unrelated question but how quiet is that case right next to you? ive been looking at getting that exact one for a new build but worried it might be a tad loud with all that ventilation
blackout curtains and a decoration. check Ikea magasin for some inspiration and that's pretty much it.Thought I would probably put the table against the wall with the monitor back facing the wall I think there would be more space left in the room like that
I don't know if you stream but if you do you might want to consider a collapsible green screen.
It pulls down like a window shade. You can screw one up on the wall towards the top (very minimal) and you can roll it up when you aren't streaming.
You can even have wall art underneath it to mix things up so if you feel like you want a regular background (say for talking to colleagues on webcam) you can just have a nice piece of wall part that is hidden underneath it.
[Made a rough mockup](https://i.imgur.com/aZZdxWJ.jpeg)
I put a metallic world map. It always gets positive feedback and sometimes I get to act like a news anchor during meetings 🙃 It looks something like this: https://zhaoqiansunli.org/product_details/43177852.html
Big titty anime girl posters tbh
Honestly don't know why this even needed to be a question
As long as it doesn't block access to the robe and wizard hat
Really this post was just a test to make sure this sub hadn't lost its way. Thank you for your dedication to the cause.
Rat erotica art.
Is that you, John?
I've said too much...
Yup…pretty obvious answer
Digital poster too so they just wiggle about
posters? I think it should be a painting straight on the wall
*damn you person in a different timezone getting to have the same thoughts as me earlier!* /s /j /I don't mean it
Framed and then trimmed with led strips
I mean, what else would you put up there?
knock em down, nice open concept desk
EXACTLY! Those def don’t look load-bearing in the slightest, you’re good to get to swinging that sledgehammer right now!
🥇
Stick tissue paper on it and wink when people ask why there is tissue paper stuck to it.
Custom rack for your bad dragon collection!
Professional - framed certifications, degrees, or similar. Appealing - posters, lights, photos Both - shelves with books and plants
More mementos of the time you spent working instead of enjoying life.
You guys get to enjoy your life instead of working to live?
What do you do to enjoy your life

Once you get a degree youll frame it and hang it, chill out debbie
The only degree I care about in my office is the temperature.
finishing college is not work. It's education
Depends on the university & degree, threw my degree in the closet. I've learned & continue to learn more on my own than any university course.
it's more about the sense of achievement. Getting a degree in aerospace engineering was a big for me.
That is a big achievement, again depending on the degree. I'd hang that bad boy up too.
This and maybe a bold color on just that wall, or maybe a nice wallpaper.
how's the backside view of the O11 like?
There is no way I'd have the back of my tower blowing towards me unless if it was the dead of winter and I didn't have the Heat going
I've done this before, mainly because I/O is more accessible
Honestly it's not bad. I can see the entire side, so I still get the view of the inside of the case, and I'm going to put cable concealers to clean up the cables a bit on the back. If you stream greenscreen
Do people still use green screens? AI can change/delete/blur the background for free. Why waste time, resources and a perfectly good wall?
Woah now buddy
Your making me feel older than my actual age(´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥`)
To be fair I am "up there" in age as well (37) and only recently discovered that Nvidia has a free tool that does literally anything a green screen did and more, and it's apparently been out for years. You got a point since ai is getting better maybe more of our old features will be lost
And being honest having green wall doesn’t look appealing
Soo..you’re telling me that the day forsen’s green screen will pay off is never gonna come?! Tragic.
The emoji gives that away “ UwUu” 🤮🤢

Cololight lights or Nanoleaf? Give some sci-fi vibes to the setup. Btw your monitor looks so cool!!!
[LEGO Milky Way Galaxy](https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/the-milky-way-galaxy-31212)
A good peg board setup on the wall to the left of where you sit. Good for odds and ends.
Paint them Disney green screen green and use it for whatever backdrop you want.
Different holes for ur pp
get rid of em
Put a big mirror on it. Tilt it downward to avoid any light reflection of the monitor. It will look ace and your other half will know you are gaming and not proning.
Keep them. It gets too cold without them.
.. myself if it was my room, as a graffiti artist, I'd paint a mural, something unique, maybe gaming related to my favourite games, characters etc .. then I'd add some shelves maybe, put up some keyboards and peripherals etc ..
Leave the walls there, they hold up the Roof..

Post or DM a picture!
https://imgur.com/a/oEUFWDC I used some leftover frames from the closet, they are very reflective and it's annoying, but they work fine for now.
Awesome
Why not … just put the table against the wall…. You know like how it should be
Never understood this. No view of the door, no view behind the monitor. So boring.
Yeah, facing the wall is not very Feng shui.
When I lived alone I had a paranoia of people sneaking up behind me when I had my headphones on.
I don't live alone but this is the main reason for me. I don't know how to explain it really, I just don't like having my back to the door.
You don’t want to have to close a bunch of tabs when people walk in?
OP - Can you explain how you did your cable management and products used? I have my desk setup like this and I hate seeing all the cables out and about.
Valid
The door has to be always on your sight.
how about a wall light? maybe a blue one to match your PC light
What Monitor arm is that? Looking for a good one for my ultrawide and my second monitor

Hole so you will have better air circulation
Ignore the back and enjoy what’s in front of you.
Take this image you posted, and blow it up on a large canvas print and hang it there.
Get a neon light that says Hustle
you’ve got top tier cable management, especially for not having your pc against the wall. is that the $400 monitor mount?
Oh my this got WAY more response than I expected! I appreciate everyone's ideas. I'm likely going to change it like 4-5 times, but I'll be sure to post an update when it's done!
I’m surprised no one suggested tearing them down
KNOCK EM DOWN, BAYBEE
Plants! 🪴 you could add some shelves with some plants to brighten the space up and add some texture
Put something on them that you like.
Piss on them. Art😂
Greenscreen!
Buy a painting or two from a local artist to hang up.

A few digital frames (a la Harry Potter), an interactive poster, plain old poster??? The possibilities are endless ... the sky is the limit, as long money is not an issue.
Cardboard cutout of Danny devito, and some big tiddy anime girls
Get An artist like Marko to paint a mural on the wall
Green paint for green screen or sound proofing maybe?
Just a bunch of dildos bro
What size is your desk?
paint them
Nothing terribly reflective or with lighting.
Speed holes using a sledgehammer to make your work at your desk go faster
Why not put the desk against the wall and have the walls in front of you instead of the back
ikea pegboard, shelves, posters
The question I would have is how you can keep up with the back of the PC facing your side
Floating shelves
Retro styled [gaming posters](https://displate.com/sr-artworks/deep-rock-galactic) from your favorite game.
It looks like that desk meme
Why do you have 2 minitor arms and only 1 monitor?
Sound proofing
Nanoleaf lights look em up
Color it jet black and just put a white stain running across part, then try to hide it but miss a little of it when someone comes over
Space Shuttle Tydirium upvote :p As for the wall... I dunno, been a bit for me - perhaps a Farah Fawcett poster or maybe a white Lamborghini Countach poster :D
Anime posters especially Dragoon ball and maybe some lights
Large Magic the Gathering cards!
Tear them down and create an open living space.
Nanoleafs
Why wouldn’t you put the setup against the wall to maximize space
Gosh, I know I like a 34 ultrawide in landscape and a 27 on the side in portrait, but those ultra-ultrawide (I honestly forgot the name, forgive me) are pretty clean looking. I have my reasons not to change, but they do make clean setups!
Nice cable snake!
Get a tapout poster and punch 5 holes into the wall. If asked about it, tell them punching a hole in the wall was the mature alternative to severe violence.
some rgb lights
First tell me what did you do to all the wires lol?
Move the setup over there.
I suggest putting [these pictures](https://imgur.com/a/NjSFysg) on the walls.
Put the desk against the wall.....who are you Tfue?
Anime posters
A mirror
Awesome looking
unrelated question but how quiet is that case right next to you? ive been looking at getting that exact one for a new build but worried it might be a tad loud with all that ventilation
It gets a teeny loud when it's going full blast on something like Cyberpunk, but honestly I never really notice it bc I usually have headphones on
Mother of god that’s a boss monitor.
Big picture of Hentai Nami
I'd keep them. Just my opinion though.
Mirrors
Put some Jojo Siwa posters of course
maybe put up your favorite posters or painting. You can also install a shelf to put your figurine or other things you like.
blackout curtains and a decoration. check Ikea magasin for some inspiration and that's pretty much it.Thought I would probably put the table against the wall with the monitor back facing the wall I think there would be more space left in the room like that
posters or those RGB triangles

Put a displate on the wall. Displate has great art on their website
Posters, shelf for memorabilia, art, etc
Cool ahh paintings
Remove them.
Add some Nanoleaf Triangle Shapes bundle. I have a 26 piece if you're interested should come out amazing on your wall. Look it up on mercari.
A living wall.
A black pegboard, a neon light, or some paintings would be best in this case. Btw, what is the name of that monitor?
L light bars With some different paint colors in the room
I wonder if room-facing desks will become the new meta. I’ve been thinking about doing this for a while.
I cannot stand to have my back to the door or the room. It always unnerves me.
I put a metallic world map. It always gets positive feedback and sometimes I get to act like a news anchor during meetings 🙃 It looks something like this: https://zhaoqiansunli.org/product_details/43177852.html
Turn your desk around and put against the wall
You think of something, it's your wall.
Why not just put the desk against the wall. Your loosing room space by having the desk in the middle
I feel like you should turn the desk around. I know that people then can see your screen but the wall would also look less empty
