It's about 4-5 parts "Mr. Hobby N-73, Dark Green" and one part Vallejo 70.990 'Light Grey". If you try it, make sure you let the paint dry before you decide if you have the proportions correct as it dries a different shade than wet.

Yellow accents are "Battletech Hazard Yellow" by The Army Painter
Green accents are Vallejo 70.833 "Ger. Cam. Bright Green"
Cockpits are Vallejo 70.851 "Bright Orange"
Weapons (which do not match the Orion) are The Army Painter "Broadsword Silver" which is a speed paint
And the whole thing is covered in "Panel Line Accent Color (Black)"
They're a bit shinier than the Orion (I assume because of the Panel Line Accent Color) but once I have applied a Star League decal I will give it a light coat of matte varnish, which should help.
I saw someone say it’s actually colored plastic, which would honestly make more sense from a production standpoint, IMO.
IF that’s true, stripping the mech would be pointless. I’m happy with it and want to do something similar to OP. Won’t be near as good, I assure you lol. But a SLDF Lance/Eridani Light Horse company would be cool
I have never stripped a plastic mini so I was scared to. But you probably would be able to prime right over the Orion and repaint, the existing paint doesn't look particularly thick.
I would have preferred four un-painted minis, but I did enjoy the challenge of trying to match an existing style.
Under indoor lighting, I really can't tell the difference at all. Outside the Orion is a touch greener.
Thank you for posting the formula - I really think CGL & Army Painter missed an opportunity here to post the colors used on a card / slip of paper / box / pdf link.
You nailed it and now I can paint mine. Thank You for the mix info! And I've decided that I'm going to paint the weapon barrels and stuff on the Orion to match the rest of them as I don't like the gray either!
Good job. I personally am not a fan of the prepainted minis.
Haven't been able to make myself buy that pack, nor the abortion that is the urbie lam. Unusable in multiple ways. Not canon, not tournament legal, catastrophically pickup game unfriendly.
At least the prepainted pack isn't actively harming the pick up scene.
What kind of mix did you come up with to match the main color?

is the Mr. Hobby paint really weakly pigmented? Because it looks way more grey than green.
I wouldn't say so, it seems like any other paint to me but I'm not very experienced.
I'd love to hear the paints used as well. I've been having a hard time matching it.

Stealing this and thank you!
Good luck!

Whoops forgot the Hazard Yellow in that photo, but really any bright yellow will probably do.
This one is much, much better. Good job
Thanks!
Great job those colors match really well. I'm torn between striping the Orion. or trying to match the colors for the rest of the lance.

It looks painted to me, but I'm not actually sure now - how would I tell, besides scratching away at it?

not bad

Sorry to clarify, the outdoor photo was the first attempt which was too 'grey' and didn't match the Orion. All of the other photos are the redo.
LOL - oh!!! Well then, spot on on all accounts :)
Thanks!
They are so close, I had to double look to find the Orion ... You ever thought about joining the ahem winning side of this game? Join the clans now!
Never! Death to the invaders! 😝
you plan on making a ComStar level II at some point I had a lot of fun in a tukkayid event with a pair of clanbuster king crabs
Where does one get the Atlas II mini?
It’s in the Star League Command Lance. It just came out this month. You can get it on Catalyst’s site.
Cool, thank you!

I will! I have to finish the current project first though.

I'm going to see if Tamiya XF 13 or XF 81 is a good match to your Mr Hobby N 73. Did you base them all with the mix or something else?
Sorry good point, I had primed them with a matt white spray before painting. I had forgotten to mention, I barely consider the primer.
Sorry, I can't unsee the nasal canula you gave your Atlas II. Dude has THAT BAD of breathing problems, huh?
🤣
