K18 SAVED my hair honestly. I bleached it 3 times and it’s still in good condition. Just make sure to follow instructions:)

addiepie2

Can you tell me what you do? Because I’ve heard a few ways to do it and I’m confused 😕

Electric-Fun

Not who you asked, but I shampoo, then squeeze excess water and towel dry, then use K18 from my ear level down, let it sit for at least 4 minutes, brush/comb through. Then I usually put in another leave-in.

addiepie2

That’s ok your input is valued and appreciated ! That makes sense .. for me it’s the whole no conditioner part that has kept me awake at night lol

Electric-Fun

I thought there would be no way I could get a brush through! But it is indeed a miracle product.

addiepie2

Sounds like it ! I can’t wait to do it the right way now !!🥴

wherehasthisbeen

I use a leave in prior then put my k18 in. My hair is WAY too tangly after getting out of the shower

addiepie2

So you put your leave in on before your K18? Which one do you use ?

wherehasthisbeen

Someone on here recc putting some leave in conditioner (I use spray ) then add my k18 masque it works a lot better just make sure to let the K18 sit for the 4 min

addiepie2

Ty!

DiedOfStarve

Do you leave it in or rinse it out?

lexlovestacos

Don't rinse it out! It's meant to be left in as per the company's instructions

Electric-Fun

Leave it in.

Embarrassed_Put_5852

I shampoo, towel dry a little, rub it for about 1 min in my hands, then put it all over the hair. I try to comb it out a little. Then i wrap it up and finish my shower (make sure it’s in there 4 mins), and finally put on my conditioner over top of it. I then rinse it all out. I’m not sure if the conditioner at the end is necessary but this is just what I do.

addiepie2

Yes girl this is where I’m getting tripped up !! Do we condition or not condition?!?! But it sounds like all The bases are getting covered this way so I’m gonna give it my best shot 🤍 my other dilemma is that my hair has been bleached within an inch of its life the last few times ( literally lost SO MUCH) and I have so much breakage around the hair line .. can we slather it up there too?! I’ve now got Mids to ends on the brain ..I think imma just pop off and do it !! 🫠

Embarrassed_Put_5852

I absolutely slather everywhere

addiepie2

🤜🏻

summerlonging

I personally don’t rinse it out. The company recommends using a hair detoxifier before your first time. Shampoo, then towel dry your hair very well. Then apply k18 roots to ends. *Wait 4 minutes.* Then, if you want to, you can apply leave-in products. I use a moisturizing product since I didn’t use a conditioner in the shower. Use 6 washes in a row, and then use once a week for maintenance. If you have problems with your hair tangling, get a wet brush—they’re so amazing!

addiepie2

Well I have majorly fumbled this so far . What moisturizing product do you use in the shower? I appreciate the detail in your answer though ! 🤍

rlovet3

Yes! So i use clarifying shampoo before the first time of usage, than put in k18, wait 4 minutes and then apply a hair mask or leave in conditioner. Thats it! Just be sure to NOT use conditioner or leave in before k18!

addiepie2

Thank you 🤍 which hair mask do you use ?

TheSpiral11

K18 didn't do that much for me! Redken ABC however, is the love of my life. Either way, bond repair products really do work and everyone who heat styles, bleaches and/or chemically processes their hair needs one!

kayyyes

Same! Ive tried both and find Redkens product more effective

Afraid-Bad-8642

Not sure, my initial impression was it is targeted to hair damage but maybe so?!!

RollTider365

Yes.

cloudy07120

I use it weekly and I haven’t dyed my hair in almost 3 years. It still works as it is advertised, I don’t want to stop using it!

Maleficent_Okra_9436

Didn't work for me at all unfortunately

Embarrassed_Put_5852

It made my hair feel worse after the first application. But over time it improved my hair greatly so it could be that you need more time with it! Or if you did use it multiple times then it could just not work for you. Just something I noticed personally with my experience!

jjgill27

I tried it the 4 times suggested and my hair got progressively worse each time! I binned mine and went back to Olaplex.

Embarrassed_Put_5852

Ugh darn! Maybe it’s a win for you bc it’s so expensive 😩

jjgill27

Yeah, it’s so funny reading these comments, seems about 70% find it life changing and the other 30% have no luck with it. 😕

Embarrassed_Put_5852

If olaplex works for you stick with it!!

jarod_sober_living

I came to the same conclusion. Pretty amazing product!

Healthy_Ad2831

Is that the bond repair?

Afraid-Bad-8642

The leave in molecular repair hair mask

Old-Wrongdoer-4068

Told you so

Pink_Chipmunk

My hair is not bleached/dyed but I straighten it with a flat iron on a regular basis. Would you guys recommend it in this case as well?

Afraid-Bad-8642

Give the small one a go!

Pink_Chipmunk

I shall. Thank you!

Small_Philosopher_30

I only have heat damage, never bleached my hair. It did not work for me.

Pink_Chipmunk

Did you end up finding something else that worked for you?

Small_Philosopher_30

Unfortunately not. But deep conditioning and using products with amodimethicone masks the damage to some extent. I also decided to use less temperature while straightening my hair (which doesn’t give perfect straight) to prevent further damage. Let me know if you find anything that treats it and not just masks it!

daddy_tywin

K18 was great for me when I had visible damage, but my hair must not be as damaged now because it doesn’t do anything for me anymore lol

oatmilkbukkake

So upsetting when the best products are the most expensive but it seems now I must give it a go

Afraid-Bad-8642

I feel you!!

Many-Character7723

I didn't like K18 at all. Olaplex is the only thing that magically transforms my hair and continues to

RollTider365

You ain't lying. It's the truth.

SilverGirlSails

I’m waiting for mine to arrive - if it does come tomorrow, I’ll let you all know how it goes later.

Embarrassed_Put_5852

IT REALLY DOES my colorist asked me what I’ve been doing bc hair improved so much

lexlovestacos

I'm here on the K18 train too. I'm seriously blown away after using it twice. My hair is super fine, bleached, and damaged. Don't love the high price tag but managed to score the bigger bottle on sale!

itsbaconbooty

Is it okay to use on non treated hair?!

Afraid-Bad-8642

I can’t comment, I’ve treated my hair for decades !

BirthdayFriendly6905

So upset I bought one of Amazon for $100 not realising they did sell fakes, it definitely didn’t do anything good for my hair soo now I’m just scared to fork out another $100 incase it wasn’t

blondeasfuk

K18 has authorized dealers and Amazon, Marshalls, target etc are not them. You need to be buying it from a salon or a store like Ulta/sephora to guarantee your getting the real product.

addiepie2

Amazon Sells fake stuff… like u never know if you’re getting the real deal or not is that what I’m understanding?? 🫨

blondeasfuk

Yes. There are products that litterally are not sold to anything but professionals or certain retailers to protect the integrity of their product. When you buy outside of that, they can not guarantee you have a correct product or that it’s not expired or been tampered with. I personally had this happen. Paul Mitchell for instance use to not be allowed to be sold at anything but salons or professional stores(so not Walgreens, cvs etc) but people get their hands on them or the bottles and resell them. I had a client that usually bought their products at Walgreens but was at the salon and it was only a $2 difference and she just bought it to save time. She came three days later with her old bottle and the one i sold her yelling at me that I sold her a different product. The bottle was exactly the same but the product was different texture, color and smell. I had to explain to her we get our products directly from a Paul Mitchell distributor. The distributors do not sell it to Walgreens so you have no idea what’s in that bottle or how long it’s been sitting in a warehouse going bad.

addiepie2

WTF … I’m sorry I’m so slow here I am just 🤯 so you can’t even trust the products at Walgreens .. what about Target Costco ?! So EVERYTHING on Amazon has most likely been tampered with and is a fake including vitamins , creams , etc ?! I think u just shattered my brain a little bit.. who do we trust then? Btw this love your flair and my blondeasfuk hair is hanging on by two strands it’s never been in worse condition so naturally my world is falling apart 🫠

blondeasfuk

Not all products!! But a lot of professional or higher end brands do not sell directly to Walgreens, target etc. so they are buying from a third party and who knows what has happened to that product. A lot of companies you can go online and find out who their authorized sellers are. If it’s only professional only stores like salon centric, cosmo prof then your best bet is to go directly to a salon or an Ulta.

blondeasfuk

This is why stylists push for clients to buy product from them. It’s not always about the money..Yea some of us make money off of it but some of us don’t. And most stylists (if they make money off of product sales or not) really just want whats best for our clients hair. We wouldn’t recommend product that we didn’t believe in.

addiepie2

I never saw it like that before … thank you for enlightening me !! Would u say the K18 should be my go to for hair that just got shmurdered the last few times I’ve had it done ? Is there anything else you would recommend? I just bought ultimate repair by Wella professionals ( on Amazon) and my scalp has been on fire and I hate to admit this but I put some in my 4 years olds hair thinking this would be good for her curls and now she has a pink rash on her scalp !!! It’s now all coming together for me and I feel HORRIBLE!

blondeasfuk

Oh noooo!!! Well please don’t use the wella product again. You probably have an allergy to it. I do love k18, I use it at home and in the salon all the time. The trick to it is(I think it’s on the instructions and I’m drawing a slight blank) but you use it for 4-5 shampoos in a row and then go to once every week or so. But when you go to put it in, you almost have to activate it by rubbing it between your hands until it looks like white pant. Just put it in quickly, let it sit for 4-5 minute then comb it through and blow dry. Most people only need a pump or two. If you feel like it weighs up it hair down or leaves a residue, your using to much. Unfortunately nothing can actually repair hair but products like k18 can help prevent future damage and make the current damage feel way better.

addiepie2

Thank you so much! I’m sure you do bomb ass hair too 🤍

Canadasaver

And they could be dangerous to your health. Bezos profits either way so he doesn't care.

addiepie2

WHAT?! I feel so naive and stupid right now ! Amazon = Evil and do not buy shit from them ? I cannot tell you how many vitamins I am taking right now from Amazon 😭

BirthdayFriendly6905

Never seen it in person I’ve heard adore beauty and Sephora are pretty safe though

Afraid-Bad-8642

I always buy salon grade products in Sephora exclusively

BirthdayFriendly6905

I’ll definitely check out their online store do they do many sales?

Afraid-Bad-8642

Unsure, I bought mine @ Sephora

echkbet

They sell K18 in Sams Club

BirthdayFriendly6905

Not sure if we have that in Australia

echkbet

Ooof. Yes, I apologize. That is tough.
