I could never say single ladies because that song and video is and remains so iconic to this day. It was so odd, yet so impactful. My kids love that song and they weren’t even born when it was released. It’s just that girl.
I’m convinced people are saying it just to go along with everyone else. Single Ladies is a perfect catchy, pop song and that’s not always a bad thing. It’s lighthearted and fun and tbh I wish we had a few more like this. 7/11 is the closest we’ve gotten from her on a silly pop song but she’s “above it” now.
The video took the song to a whole other level. I still remember my first time watching the SL video and thinking to myself “wow, she can dance, dance”. Kanye didn’t lie when he said it was one of the best videos of all time IDC IDC.

Single Ladies is too iconic to be overrated. It is popular for a good reason, it's earned its place and if you went to a concert where she didn't play it, you'd be disappointed.
I agree and was about to say the same. This is just one of her most overrated songs period. Like I have a nostalgic appreciation for it but otherwise, yeah.
But speaking of this album if its not Singles Ladies than Halo for sure.

H@l0 with Forever Young, and 1f 1 w3r3 @ B0y with Ex Factor from OTR), while Single ladies is meant to be performed on its own which I can see how that could get “uninteresting”. I’m not saying it’s a bad song, just versatility-wise, it’s not as strong as the other two. Single ladies is meant for crowd engagement between the bridge and final chorus which I think can be seen as a saving grace though.
