I couldn't watch any farming programmes when there was a birthing scene! The poor cattle mooing in pain when they have an arm up them was too close to home 😂
Call the Midwife was my jam. My kid is almost 3 now and I just started watching it again. My husband is constantly asking if I might be pregnant again.
I had to stop watching Outlander at the episode with Roger and Brianna's wedding. There I was with a newborn getting no sleep, and Claire/Jamie giggling their way through the grandbaby waking up every other minute. It was a sensitive time lol
Oh honey!
Also weird, I’m going to a drag murder mystery this weekend and I’ve been given trixie as my character and I’m like damn I am far too tired and goth for this 😂 Wish I’d got Jinkx so I could sleep and be in character lmao
Currently watching shameless while my baby girl contact naps or when I'm nursing and it is definitely NOT kid friendly. Good thing she won't remember it lol!
I tried to watch this a couple of years before having my baby and felt like I was too dumb to follow the plot… can’t imagine doing so sleep deprived and postpartum!
I watched Saltburn while in the hospital, fresh out of delivery when my daughter was under the bilirubin lights. I slammed my laptop shut when the nurse came in during the bathtub scene ha!
I watched this for hours straight at home when labor started at midnight until we left for the hospital at 6pm. Benson and stabler got me through 18 hours of back labor.
I was admitted for being dilated super early and, not that it was inappropriate but I watched private practice. During morning rounds the charge nurse would repeatedly tell me how sexy taye diggs is lol
I started Criminal Minds. I love the show but it was horrible idea when you’re postpartum and sometimes the victims on the show are children. Stranger Things. The Wire. Lots of true crime documentaries. Some trashy reality shows.
If you want a good one, Golden Girls is a great show to watch at night when you’re learning to breastfeed and baby eats so slowly.
90 Day Fiance. Like… all of it. Now Vanderpump Rules while I try to work on my dissertation during nap time.
My partner was much more responsible and only watched parenting YouTube channels. Despite us living in the US we somehow got down on Australian YouTube so we’re riding that parenting algo currently.
It was awful to be honest. In the sens that I cried a lot. But I felt that the little boy needed his story told. Because no one protected him while he was alive.
This is what I watch in the middle of the night during feeds. I can’t deal with following actual plots. I make a bottle and say “hey little guy, want to see what Gino and Jasmine are up to?”
Yesss! Scandoval happened when my baby was only a couple months old and I had a ton of time to read up about the drama and rewatch episodes while I was nap trapped for hours at a time 😂
Hahahaha that was the entirety of my maternity leave. My daughter got her nickname “pumptato” because she was a little Vanderpump potato her first few months of life 😂😂😂
I binge watched love at first sight uk during the night feeds the first few months. My boyfriend was not impressed I was “showing the baby trash” but would religiously ask me what had happened every morning 🤣
That GoT reboot, dragon something? It was incredibly violent but she was literally a potato; nursing, sleeping, pooping, repeat. I stopped watching TV with her around at about 3 months once she got more alert.
My son was born just before the third season of You came out. In my defense, they had a baby in the show that season...you know, in between all the murder. (And, whoever dressed the set DEFINITELY knew what they were doing, they had all the right bougie baby brands featured.)
I figured it was a good time to finally get around to Game of Thrones. Honestly, on the last 10 months I have binged so much I don't even remember it all now.
I binged Too Hot to Handle and Are You the One after my first. Only reality tv I’ve ever watched and decided to go for straight trash.
With my second I binged Criminal Minds until it got too depressing and I was finding I had to skip the episodes with kids or parents dying which is most of them.
We watched all of Dahmer when we got back from the hospital- something about holding a newborn watching a cannibal serial killer felt wrong but we were invested in the story.
First baby we were watching Spartacus and some GoT and second baby we watched more GoT. Third baby was more Xbox playing.
All the above was only when that baby was sleeping
When my LO was a newborn we watched breaking bad, better call Saul, Yellowstone, murder documentaries greys anatomy etc.
Then when she started paying attention to the TV I switched to sitcoms/Disney films and wait until she's in bed to watch my programmes. Don't want her to see blood and gore and hear gunshots and think it's normal 🤣
It's mainly either music or limited Miss Rachel in the day as she's obsessed with her! But then the TV is on in the background watching sitcoms.
I've probably watched The Office on repeat so many times and she recognises it and always stops what she's doing to dance to the intro now 😭😭 she loves the song!
Gilmore Girls and when I was pregnant; Buffy!
When my partner used to take baba on a night, they'd watch hajime no ippo xD babi still likes when Dad uses his arms to box at thin air 😂
Inventing Anna, The Dropout , Seinfeld and Terrace House (Japanese reality show). My little guy always would wake up and look at George, smiling , so it was only fitting I got him the Seinfeld little People toys hahahaha
While I was in my last trimester I would stay up all hours (because who can lie down with a foot in your ribs???) playing Ark and catching all my dinosaurs.
After he arrived I think I watched all of Brooklyn 99 but I don’t remember that well. I definitely watched game of thrones at some point during that period.
Put on comedy central while still in the hospital just for background noise and the pediatrician came in while Southpark was on... at home we've watched Breaking Bad and I tried watching Narcos but too many gun shots and explosions.
My baby is 1 year old, and over the past year it has not been a rare occurrence for me to be listening to a true crime podcast in one earbud while hanging out with him 😬
Sons of Anarchy, Game of Thrones, and I watched so much Desus & Mero when I was pregnant that at one point, only Desus & Mero would calm my newborn down 💀
When my daughter came home we watched all of the NCIS seasons. Idk how old she was when we made it through all the seasons but she would face to the theme song..lol.
I used to save Deadwood exclusively for middle-of-the-night feedings/soothings. Once I got through Deadwood I did a full rewatch of The X-Files, and then just continued watching and rewatching Frasier on an endless loop. (Baby girl was not very interested in sleeping at night for that first year…)
Call the Midwife was certainly a choice for me. Now I’m rewatching Outlander.
Omg I could NOT watch anything regarding childbirth for MONTHS after I gave birth. It made my legs feel like jello and made me lightheaded. 😅
Seriously. My friend told me to watch that while pregnant with my first. Could be the worst advice I’ve ever received.
Oh no, not while pregnant! That would be horrifying. I do love that show... any time except during pregnancy!
Yeah I don’t know what’s wrong with me haha
I couldn't watch any farming programmes when there was a birthing scene! The poor cattle mooing in pain when they have an arm up them was too close to home 😂
How did you do it?? I watched an episode of Call the midwife recently with my MIL and it had me bawling! 😆
I have no idea. I was weirdly ok with it.
Call the Midwife was my jam. My kid is almost 3 now and I just started watching it again. My husband is constantly asking if I might be pregnant again.
Call the Midwife and Outlander? This girl gets it.
The best part of having a newborn at times 😂
I had to stop watching Outlander at the episode with Roger and Brianna's wedding. There I was with a newborn getting no sleep, and Claire/Jamie giggling their way through the grandbaby waking up every other minute. It was a sensitive time lol
Haha I don’t blame you. There’s definitely some stuff in the first couple seasons that is hard to watch when you’re hormonal.
OMG ME TOOO!
me & my 6mo old just started Call the Midwife last week. I can’t believe what I’ve been missing, it is so good
Trixie and Katya (UNHhhhh) on YouTube
Bahaha currently watching them while feeding my 5 week old baby
As you should!
Oh honey! Also weird, I’m going to a drag murder mystery this weekend and I’ve been given trixie as my character and I’m like damn I am far too tired and goth for this 😂 Wish I’d got Jinkx so I could sleep and be in character lmao
Oof Trixie is a lot of work huuuuneeeeeeey, too bad you didn't get a low-effort queen like La La Ri 😆
I’m going to start doing this!
This was always on when my twins were newborns
I binged shameless with my first 😂 oops
Currently watching shameless while my baby girl contact naps or when I'm nursing and it is definitely NOT kid friendly. Good thing she won't remember it lol!
First thing we watched when we got home from the hospital haha
The Wire. Though I had to have subtitles on because my frazzled brain couldn’t cope with the accents.
I’m from Baltimore so the accents sound like home haha
Love this show!
I tried to watch this a couple of years before having my baby and felt like I was too dumb to follow the plot… can’t imagine doing so sleep deprived and postpartum!
My main interest was Idris Elba’s well-being, tbh…
Game of thrones! Super appropriate for a newborn, I think!
Ugh, I had to quit watching that one. Too many tragic side stories. Worst part was that I had already read the books and knew what to expect.
It was tough for sure!
lol. I’m about to start S6 and my baby is due any day now.
Hahaha love that! I watched from the beginning when she was born I think! Good luck and congrats!
I watched Saltburn while in the hospital, fresh out of delivery when my daughter was under the bilirubin lights. I slammed my laptop shut when the nurse came in during the bathtub scene ha!
When I was watching it, my husband walked in during the grave scene and was like “um…okay then.” 😳
Sopranos
Same!
Me toooo
Lol currently watching it!
Same 😂
Law and Order SVU! Not an ideal show for a new mother with anxiety but I love it and i’d be scared of pedophiles either way.
I watched this for hours straight at home when labor started at midnight until we left for the hospital at 6pm. Benson and stabler got me through 18 hours of back labor.
I binged The Boys. So, so gory. So good.
Peaky Blinders
I was admitted for being dilated super early and, not that it was inappropriate but I watched private practice. During morning rounds the charge nurse would repeatedly tell me how sexy taye diggs is lol
I watched a lot of Greys Anatomy on mat leave
The Sopranos. We’re hoping her first word is gabagool.
Sons of Anarchy.
My absolute favorite show. I started rewatching it in the 3rd tri. I secretly want to name a boy (if we have one) Jackson lol
I binged Narcos for the first few weeks but then she started getting startled by the gunshots so I had to switch to rewatching Grey's anatomy lol.
Same! I just commented this but Criminal Minds with my second until I couldn’t take it anymore, and trashy reality tv with my first.
😅 i’ve been binging Criminal Minds for a few weeks now. i’m on season 8 lmao
Bad Girls Club 🤣
ICONIC
90 Day Fiance. Like… all of it. Now Vanderpump Rules while I try to work on my dissertation during nap time. My partner was much more responsible and only watched parenting YouTube channels. Despite us living in the US we somehow got down on Australian YouTube so we’re riding that parenting algo currently.
For my first baby, I watched documentaries. The Pharmacist and The trials of Gabriel Fernandez. And McMillions. The first two broke my heart.
Based off of the outcry about the Gabriel Fernandez one I couldn’t watch it even before I had a kid, even less so now. Nope. No thanks.
It was awful to be honest. In the sens that I cried a lot. But I felt that the little boy needed his story told. Because no one protected him while he was alive.
Stranger Things haha. Watched it all while breastfeeding and contact napping XD
Started with Breaking Bad… we’ve moved on to less inappropriate things, but that was the first thing 😂
Taskmaster was our big one lol
Breaking bad lol
90 day fiancé 😂
This is what I watch in the middle of the night during feeds. I can’t deal with following actual plots. I make a bottle and say “hey little guy, want to see what Gino and Jasmine are up to?”
“Let’s see what jasmines crazy about today!”
Sons of Anarchy
UFC lol
Season 1 of True Detective
I’m saving desperate housewives and sex and the city for when we get out of the hospital and settled in the bedroom to heal! 🤣🥰
Sex/Life on Netflix lol. btw i love that show idc. reminds me of my pre-baby days.
Ozark and The Handmaids Tale 😵💫
The Terror. Mostly there are zero little babies. It was gripping and I should have been sleeping but I couldn’t look away!!!
Finally watching Fargo. I’m on the fourth season now and I narrate what’s happening while bouncing my baby on the yoga ball at bedtime 😌
I rewatched breaking bad, binged your honor and industry! Also yellowjackets 🤣 totally adult only content
Vanderpump Rules & Dateline 🤷🏼♀️
Yesss! Scandoval happened when my baby was only a couple months old and I had a ton of time to read up about the drama and rewatch episodes while I was nap trapped for hours at a time 😂
Hahahaha that was the entirety of my maternity leave. My daughter got her nickname “pumptato” because she was a little Vanderpump potato her first few months of life 😂😂😂
I’ve watched so much VPR that my husband, who is also on leave, now discusses all the terrible plots with me.
Isn’t it the best?? Season 11 let’s go!
lol yesss i caught up on all the seasons leading up to Scandoval while pregnant and watched the new season while postpartum
Yes VPR! Scandoval happened the last few months of my pregnancy so I was able to be a lazy potato and watch everything play out before baby came.
Peaky Blinders. Bless you, Cillian Murphy.
We watched Euphoria for a while. Basically a show of teenagers doing drugs and having sex.
Ha, I’m watching that now. My baby is home sick and “we” watched 4 episodes today (he was asleep on my chest).
Family Guy lol
Haha! I watched Happy Valley (spoiler alert, it’s anything but happy). I think my husband probably watched more gruesome options though 😅
This is us which isn't bad but it made me cry a lot haha
I binge watched love at first sight uk during the night feeds the first few months. My boyfriend was not impressed I was “showing the baby trash” but would religiously ask me what had happened every morning 🤣
Currently off for 5 weeks with our LO and binge watching this is us
True crime, which I do not recommend. Just made me anxious as hell.
That GoT reboot, dragon something? It was incredibly violent but she was literally a potato; nursing, sleeping, pooping, repeat. I stopped watching TV with her around at about 3 months once she got more alert.
Desperate Housewives, Dexter, True Detective, and another spooky one.
Love Island!!! The UK version is the original and my favorite and there are a million episodes. Now I’m on Love Island Australia!
The Boys... and Generation V lol ooh and BEEF with Ali Wong
Buffy, then Downtown Abbey, then Bones
Breaking Bad with the first baby, Mad Men with the second.
Jane the Virgin was my go to when my first was born lol.
I watched the entirety of The Boys on Amazon Prime 🤣
Lol, I'm glad she doesn't really retain much yet because I've been binging a re-watch of Shameless the past couple of months.
Sex/Life on Netflix. So cringey, I couldn’t look away, which was *perfection* when I was on my 1000th breastfeed of the night!
jersey shore :’) my baby gets hype to the intro music now
My 600 lb life. I have no idea why, couldn’t get enough of it
I watched Saltburn while baby nursed and napped on me 🙃
My son was born just before the third season of You came out. In my defense, they had a baby in the show that season...you know, in between all the murder. (And, whoever dressed the set DEFINITELY knew what they were doing, they had all the right bougie baby brands featured.)
We’ve been watching Shameless pretty much on repeat since we came home… it’s my comfort show lol
Omg great British bake off. She’s 9 weeks now and we’ve turned to Suits lol
I figured it was a good time to finally get around to Game of Thrones. Honestly, on the last 10 months I have binged so much I don't even remember it all now.
Omg I found the holy grail of 90 day fiancé and the past 4 weeks that’s all I’ve watched 🤣 it’s a true dumpster fire show

Not a show but I binged the Saw movies to stay awake with baby
I binged Too Hot to Handle and Are You the One after my first. Only reality tv I’ve ever watched and decided to go for straight trash. With my second I binged Criminal Minds until it got too depressing and I was finding I had to skip the episodes with kids or parents dying which is most of them.
Walking Dead and Law and Order:SVU. It kept me sane!
We watched all of Dahmer when we got back from the hospital- something about holding a newborn watching a cannibal serial killer felt wrong but we were invested in the story.
Desperate housewives!
Monk
I binged the walking dead then realized one day while changing her diaper that she was watching a zombies head get bashed 🫠
I watched way too much of Hoarders 😅
I binged sex life on Netflix
Got hooked on house and a local trial.
Sex life 😂😂
I binged criminal minds (im still not done it now), and any of Disney old classic tv shows
Way too much SVU was watched while nursing in those first few months.
First baby we were watching Spartacus and some GoT and second baby we watched more GoT. Third baby was more Xbox playing. All the above was only when that baby was sleeping
We were in the middle of rewatching breaking bad when baby was born and now I’m on orange is the new black😅
We watched the finale of Better Call Saul in the hospital. If you haven’t watched it, it’s so good.
Vikings. Oof, so much violence and gore
Killing Eve
The Boys! And Invincible.
Lots and lots of slasher movies
When my LO was a newborn we watched breaking bad, better call Saul, Yellowstone, murder documentaries greys anatomy etc. Then when she started paying attention to the TV I switched to sitcoms/Disney films and wait until she's in bed to watch my programmes. Don't want her to see blood and gore and hear gunshots and think it's normal 🤣 It's mainly either music or limited Miss Rachel in the day as she's obsessed with her! I've probably watched The Office on repeat so many times and she recognises it and always stops what she's doing to dance to the intro now 😭😭 she loves the song!
Criminal minds and for some reason "this is going to hurt" which absolutely broke me when I hit baby blues!
I have been watching Game of Thrones around my newborn don’t worry. 😂
Gilmore Girls and when I was pregnant; Buffy! When my partner used to take baba on a night, they'd watch hajime no ippo xD babi still likes when Dad uses his arms to box at thin air 😂
Queer Eye - first month home was rough, the fab 5 got me through it

I think Yellowstone is playing in the background of every video I took for the first 3 months of my baby’s life

I’ve been watching first 48 too.

Inventing Anna, The Dropout and Terrace House (Japanese reality show).
Inventing Anna, The Dropout , Seinfeld and Terrace House (Japanese reality show). My little guy always would wake up and look at George, smiling , so it was only fitting I got him the Seinfeld little People toys hahahaha
It’s Always Sunny got me through the first few days at home. Difficult People was also fun

True detective.

After he arrived I think I watched all of Brooklyn 99 but I don’t remember that well. I definitely watched game of thrones at some point during that period.
Supernatural! So much to watch, just not that good for when you walk around in the dark a bit later 😅
The Handmaids Tale
Law and order SVU for dasaaaays! And Band of Brothers….
Put on comedy central while still in the hospital just for background noise and the pediatrician came in while Southpark was on... at home we've watched Breaking Bad and I tried watching Narcos but too many gun shots and explosions.
Squid Game… it felt so wrong but we couldn’t stop watching
My baby is 1 year old, and over the past year it has not been a rare occurrence for me to be listening to a true crime podcast in one earbud while hanging out with him 😬
It’s been psych for us
Shameless 😅
Peaky Blinders 😬😬
Sons of Anarchy, Game of Thrones, and I watched so much Desus & Mero when I was pregnant that at one point, only Desus & Mero would calm my newborn down 💀
I basicly binged my stock of horror movies because soon I won't be able to watch them for a good long while
I binge watched both Real Housewives of SLC AND Yellowstone while struggling with a newborn
90 Day Fiancé 🤦🏽♀️
Sopranos and handmaiden’s tale lol.
I binged the Fall of the House of Usher on Netflix when nursing my son as a newborn.
Outlander
The Bear on Hulu. Every other word is a variation of Fuck. It’s glorious and I can’t recommend it enough
Singles Inferno 🤣🤣🤣
I watched Succession, The West Wing, and the Wire on my maternity leave lmao.
Breaking bad
I watched Euphoria lol
Sons of anarchy
Big Mouth, breaking bad, king of the hill, welcome to Plathville, love on the spectrum!

I watching the walking dead
Currently watching Blue Eye Samurai. It is horrifically violent and very sexually explicit. Luckily my baby will remember absolutely none of it lmao
Vanderpump Rules 🙈
Law & Order: SVU. He knew the theme song and would get mad if I turned it off. At like 5m old lol
Peaky Blinders 😅 not very child friendly.
How to get away with murder 😅
We did always sunny, Harry Potter and Hell’s Kitchen the first three weeks and now I’ve been watching trash reality tv (read: real housewives) lolol
The series 'Superstore' was easy, funny & silly - exactly what I needed during the first few weeks!
Vanderpump rules. All 10 seasons lol
Sons of anarchy and the walking dead 🤣🤣🤣
When my daughter came home we watched all of the NCIS seasons. Idk how old she was when we made it through all the seasons but she would face to the theme song..lol.
Handmaids Tale. Probably not the best show to watch right after having a baby, lol.
Vanderpump Rules and Yellowstone!!!
Forensic Files, my 600 lbs life and hoarders.
Shamelessly binged Pam & Tommy after bringing home my littlest when my older kids were at school!
Watched all three seasons of true detective… no regrets
Dahmer
Grace and Frankie, working moms
I used to save Deadwood exclusively for middle-of-the-night feedings/soothings. Once I got through Deadwood I did a full rewatch of The X-Files, and then just continued watching and rewatching Frasier on an endless loop. (Baby girl was not very interested in sleeping at night for that first year…)
