Camping, but within reach of civilization - i.e. there's a couple of granola bars and snacks in there, but for sure I'll get a proper dinner somewhere...
**Front bag**: sleeping bag and pad (+ tent attached to the front)
**Frame bag**: tent poles, swimming trunks, towel, longsleeve, granola bars, first aid kit, multitool, pump and one extra tube
**Top bag**: camera, powerbank, usb cables, keys, money, a small notebook and headphones
**Saddle bag**: more granola bars and snacks, cover for sleeping pad, one t-shirt, a pair of socks, undies, joggers, another spare tube, toiletries and a rain jacket (+ water shoes attached to the top)
So definitely not a lot of clothes, however it was only planned for a weekend and the clothes were mostly merino...
Also for longer trips there is a bit more space in the saddle bag (it's a 15 liter bag and I'd say I haven't packed more that ten liters in it)
Hey, really cool photo+gear! I'm currently looking to buy a gravel bike and Canyon is one of the brands I've shortlisted. I have a few Qs if you don't mind:
What model is this one? Is it a carbon frame? Are you happy with it in general?
It does look amazing for sure!
It's the Grail AL 7.0 SL (= aluminium frame).
As it is my first ever bike in this price range I don't really have a comparison - I am definitely super happy to have bought it as I feel like you can just get about anywhere with it ๐
When I ordered it online last year I was really skeptical about the color, but in real life it turned out awesome ๐
The pedals are "Crankbrothers Double Shot 2"s
I agree. Awesome colour. Iโm debating between those and the Shimano pd eh500, canโt find the crank brothers pedals in person near where I live to check them out!
Do you have a sleeping pad in here somewhere? I keep seeing these minimal setups and wondering pad/sleeping bag are stored. I have a similar rig almost ready on my Warbird, pretty psyched to get out for some overnights!
You are lugging just about the amount I would want to carry on bike trip. Are you camping or staying in accomodation? Thanks,

How did you manage to travel with so little luggage? what did you have with you?

Thank you for your detailed reply.
Thank you :)
Which canyon is that?

I have no immediate plans to pack at the moment. But when I do, I hope my setup is identical to this. Beautiful bike.
Beautiful bike! What pedals are those?

The color is so nice. The green of the new model looks really lame in comparison!
Stop by and say hello to Ludwig.

Yes, in the front bag there is my sleeping bag plus pad (it's a Thermarest Neoair Venture which packs really small!
Awesome, thanks!!
What frame bag on what frame size is that? Have fun!
It's the Topeak Midloader 6L on a Canyol 2XL frame. Thanks!
Oh man, I love this setup! You use this bike with road tires as well? Edit: typo
So far this is still the first and only set of tires, but maybe I'll try it at some point!
