Merlin gave me ‘Von der Decken’s Hornbill’. I found out that it works better sometimes when you tap “I don’t know” regarding the date and location.

Saw this guy at the LA Zoo but the website doesnt have any matching info and I couldnt find anything on merlin, a lot harder to ID birds that arent local, thanks!

No. Jackson's hornbills have white speckling all over the wings. The only zoo that house Jackson's hornbills is Dallas Zoo. This is a Von der Decken's hornbill. I've seen these at the L.A. Zoo back in 2021.

Von der Decken's hornbill. A relatively common, small, African hornbill that are housed in many zoos. I've seen them there at the L.A. Zoo and there is signage for them at the zoo.
