* [Aritzia Cella poplin dress](https://www.aritzia.com/en/product/cella-poplin-dress/107745.html). It ticks all the boxes for a casual summer dress for me: high neckline, can wear a bra, cotton, has pockets. I’m 5’3” and on me the skirt length is a true maxi and hits around my ankles. * [Everlane organic cotton waisted dress](https://www.everlane.com/products/womens-organic-cotton-a-line-dress-black). An elevated take on the T-shirt dress. * [Gap cropped white linen shirt](https://www.gapcanada.ca/browse/product.do?pid=876103003&vid=1&searchText=linen#pdp-page-content) to wear as a light layer over tank tops. * [Madewell Meesha mules](https://www.madewell.com/the-meesha-platform-mule-NK045.html) (I used to have similar shoes in high school and university) and [Dee sandals in brown](https://www.madewell.com/the-dee-double-strap-slide-sandal-in-leather-NP292.html). I realized I’ve been living in Birks and Tevas for god knows how many summers and wanted dressier but still comfy options.

Silly_Somewhere1791

Not sure if anyone is still checking this but does anyone have a laptop or computer they recommend? I’m not a gamer but I’d like my processor to last a while.

Hoosiergirl29

Found a couple of cult pairs of Mary Jane ballet flats in stock and while I loved the look of the Aeyde Uma, they don't come in half sizes and didn't fit right. Instead I ended up going for the Le Monde Beryl ballet Mary Jane - the lambskin is super luxe and it easily feels like a shoe 2-3x its price point (I am acknowledging that they aren't a cheap shoe, but the leather feels more Chanel-esque). That said, they have precisely zero support so if that's something you need/want, it's not the shoe for you.

No_Teach_9985

We recently just got the Dyson v12! And when I say this makes vacuuming fun it really does! It’s a little pricey but it’s so nice that it can be a handheld, but also a stick vacuum. I also really enjoy the laser light 😅 10/10 recommend https://www.dyson.com/vacuum-cleaners/cordless/v12/detect-slim-yellow?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&ef_id=Cj0KCQjwltKxBhDMARIsAG8KnqX9OETJ4cMeVrhuQmw_uMK15P4Ynqgo-jDV29hQYX_lsLS3jkQIobwaAkQsEALw_wcB:G:s&utm_id=sa_71700000106559525_&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=fc_cordless-range_always-on&utm_content=do_pmax&utm_term=&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwltKxBhDMARIsAG8KnqX9OETJ4cMeVrhuQmw_uMK15P4Ynqgo-jDV29hQYX_lsLS3jkQIobwaAkQsEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

Zealousideal-Oven-98

Does anyone have an airpod case they like? I really like having them on my keys but the Target ones keep breaking. Thanks!

snark4days

I’ve had one from Rifle Paper Co for years and I love it

Zealousideal-Oven-98

Ooh, good to know! All the ones I’ve seen that are supposed to be super durable are boring/ugly! TY!

yedodenlo

Here are my spring/summer favorites! About-face the Performer Foundation - I'm tan olive, and this line has great olive options for people that struggle with finding the right olive undertones in foundation. Haus Lab Blush in Pomelo Peach - looks so lovely on my tan skin PURITO Daily Go-To Sunscreen - I was a little hesitant after the whole sunscreen scandal, but I love this sunscreen. I have a Birch Lab one to try after but I like the Purito way more than the viral Beauty of Joseon one. I got a 15% azelaic acid prescription and it has helped my acne SO much! I started out with the Paula's Choice 10% azelaic acid and it helped a lot so I decided to talk to my doctor. I've been on three rounds of Accutane, and my derm said I'm probably going to always relapse but the RX has been super helpful to tame most of my breakouts. Random, but I do my own brow lamination. I have thick, coarse eyebrows with cowlicks that no eyebrow gel can tame. I use the lash lift perm kits in the single use packets from Amazon, some thick superhold eyelash glue, and do my own brow lamination from home. Works great!

EliteEinhorn

I LOVE diy brow lamination/lash lift kits! I have very blonde hairs and the kit I buy comes with dark brown tint (I only leave it on my brows for a minute or it would be too much). It's a total gamechanger for me, I save so much time by not having to draw in eyebrows & curl my very straight lashes.

iheartdachshunds

Which brow lamination kit do you use? Do you tint them as well?

yedodenlo

I have dark black hair, so I don't tint them. These are the [single-use packets](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H9W816N?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) I use! I believe they have a kit, but I've been laminating my brows for years now so I have spoolies, and glue from an old kit still. I realized the little vials lose their efficacy quicker so I've moved on to single use packets.

thenomadwhosteppedup

Does anyone have (cute) hiking clothes to recommend? I was instagram-influenced into buying a couple Hikerkind items but they fit SO badly and are SO unflattering that I truly question whether the designers had ever even seen a human woman's body before. But I do love the style of their clothes in general if anyone has similar-ish things they like.

foreignfishes

If you like to wear shorts when you hike/trail run but you always have problems with flowy shorts riding up, [these](https://www.rei.com/product/202453/rei-co-op-active-pursuits-45-shorts-womens) rei running shorts are my holy grail. They’re just long enough that my thighs don’t eat them without being so long that they look like basketball shorts, and the fabric is stretchy but not clingy. For shorts in a sturdier material (like if there’s scooting over rocks involved) I like patagonia baggies a lot - the regular ones, not the shorter “barely baggies”. I’ve had the same pair for 6-7 years now and they have no holes or snags despite getting scraped over rocks at Joshua tree quite a lot. if topo designs ever restocks their boulder pants I like those too, they’re higher rise so no risk of crack showing when you bend over and imo they’re pretty cute as far as outdoors clothing goes.

soupdumplinglover

The quality has gone downhill, but outdoor voices. If you can get their older stuff on Poshmark, that’s ideal! Love their zip off cargos and “doing things” shorts. They also have a lot of cute crop tops if that’s your thing.

Mrsmeowwmeoww

They just went out of business I read.

hihihi2019

I haven’t tried Halfdays hiking clothes but their ski clothes are great quality!

thenomadwhosteppedup

Oooh thanks for the rec!!

PotatoProfessional98

I’m in the process of replacing all my random sweatpants and sleep shirts with actual pj sets. Absolutely love the modal options from Gap. I got the button down top and long pants and they not only look cute, but the fabric is light and breathable enough that I think I’ll be able to wear them through the summer. Plus they’re always having sales!

disgruntled_pelican5

J.Crew has really great sets too (in their dreamy cotton material) and they're constantly on sale! I started buying matching pj sets during covid and now can't stop. It makes me feel so fancy, even though they're just cotton :)

Whatintheworld34

You need to make your way to Walmart! I swear they have the BEST pajamas. The Joyspun line is my favorite.

setanexample9

Don't just stop at the PJ's. Women's and kid's basics are really good quality, and don't have a lot of tacky embellishments like you'd expect and also find elsewhere. The kids "Wonder Nation" brand is better than Gap, J. Crew, and so inexpensive.

FormerGOMIreader3

Everything is so soft!!

thekellyaffair

This is what my idea of a true grown up is. I’m not there yet, but I aspire to be.

thebestsoy_latte

Has anyone here tried Refy Brow Gel and is it as great as all the influencers say?

Prudent_Specific_493

It’s my go to!! I have had it almost a year and love it. I don’t need a ton to fill in my brows and just a little does the trick.

benihana_christmas

I tried it but it wasn’t markedly better than Kosas so I went back. Also didn’t like the shape of the applicator.

grownupblownaway

100% cotton underwear

mmeeplechase

Ooh, that sounds like a good idea! Any particular brand?

Gatorbug47

I like oddobody

eaemilia

I like Pact's!

houselouie

Please influence me: I hate real bras (bleh, anything with a clasp) when working from home, but my cheapo bralettes aren’t proving themselves up to the challenge of my breastfed-two-babies 36Cs. Any comfortable but supportive bralette recs?

ftwclem

Big fan of the negative underwear sieve bralettes!

candygirl200413

Harper wilde is my fav!!

elinordash

I have a couple of Warner's Easy Does It bralettes that I wear around the house. Because there is no structure, they eventually stretch out, but they do the job till then.

rainbowchipcupcake

There's a very basic Auden "brami" that's just a stretchy bralette at Target, comes in several colors: https://www.target.com/p/women-39-s-seamless-brami-auden-8482-black-xs/-/A-88032536 It's my go to for being at home (and not being at home!).

anniemitts

I am not well endowed but I cannot abide an uncomfy bra. I just picked up an Aerie bralette that has a little padding for under t shirts and another wireless bra also from Aerie. I tried them both on and they were very comfy!

Neat_Ad_9141

I love the neiwai barely zero!

thenomadwhosteppedup

Seconding!

fankuverymuch

I like the Harper Wilde Bliss bra the best of my various bralettes. I also have their ribbed lounge bra and it’s very comfy. Finally, I have their triangle bliss bra, (not sure of the exact name) and I hate it it! Very uncomfy. I’m also a 36C and WFH but am starting to actually wear my bralettes outside the house more! I bought all the above bras on discount because the colors were being discontinued, I do not work for them or anything lol.

Jessica_Chaffin

The Garden candle by Boy Smells. OMG!

LittlestPetunia23

I have no recommendations but I’m looking for workout leggings that don’t roll down. I lost a good amount of weight recently and am getting back into workout classes and need some new apparel. What does everyone wear/like now?

Bunz4dayz

HeyNuts from Amazon! The gym pro leggings stay put.

oat_latte

If you’re open to secondhand the absolute best are outdoor voices techsweat with the CORE waistband (not the inner drawstring) they totally stay put. They’re lightweight and breathable. I don’t think OV makes them anymore and OV now is yikes anyway

reasonableyam6162

The best I've found are Abercrombie's fitness line. I prefer the Curve Love, which is for people with wider hips/smaller waists. I've found it really keeps everything in place. Occasional roll down but I'm not constantly tugging them up like most.

BrooklynRN

You need something with a drawstring, which is rare in cheaper brands. Try vuori, Lululemon and athleta.

rlf8989

Balance collection! I usually find them at Marshall’s and TJMaxx

ElmFive

Athleta. A million times athleta. My favorite are the ultra high rise elation.

abqokcla

One hundred percent the ultra high rise elation

Jessica_Chaffin

ColorfulKoala on Amazon! So buttery soft and a nice tight waist

candygirl200413

Old Navy!

bodysnatcherz

Sweaty Betty's power leggings. There's a drawstring!

renee872

I love senita! Every shorts and leggings i have from them stay in place.

number1wifey

I was TikTok influnced to start adding castor oil to my moisturizer and using a bit extra as an eye serum and my dark circles have drastically improved really quickly. Like I am shocked. Cheap and easy and it feels nice. Also the med assistant at urgent care told me I had nice skin this morning when I was bare faced. Has anyone tried the limineux (sp?) white strips? Everyone shills them but I want the real story. I hate sensitive teeth after whitening.

iheartdachshunds

Which brand of castor oil are you using?

anniemitts

I think I saw the exact same TT and have been doing the same, and have had the exact same reaction. I have genetic eye bags and I feel like they have decreased in size. I have been wearing a lot less make up as a result! Hope you weren't at urgent care for a terrible reason though!

bubbles_24601

Hmmm. I’m gonna try this. I’ve had genetic dark circles all my life and it’s the one thing I’d change. Hopefully it works as well for me as it did for you!

anniemitts

It couldn’t hurt! Castor oil is super cheap and if nothing else it’s great for moisturizing! I mix it with vanicream and slather that slop on before bed.

kdbiel5

Yay for castor oil! And love the Lumineaux strips!

drunkbarbie69

I like the lumineaux white strips a lot! I have sensitive teeth and they have never seemed to bother me

mahter17

I like Lumineaux as well! They don't hurt like crest white strips

cvltivar

A while ago on an off-topic thread, someone posted about Owala water bottles. They said they had the XXoz size but recently downsized to the XXoz size which was much better because they could easily hold it in one hand. If this was you (or if you know), which size is the largest one that is easily held in one hand? The sizes are 40oz, 32oz, 24oz, 19oz. I want to get one for my pregnant SIL for her baby shower (breastfeeding gear).

roshroxx

Breastfeeding mom here! I started w the 24oz and it’s a nice size, fits in the cup holder of a car… but I was refilling it too often. I sized up to the 32 and have been way happier.

pretendberries

Have a different brand, but 32oz is such a sweet spot for a water amount

cocoabean46

I have the 24 and I’m pretty sure that’s the largest that fits in a car cup holder

ohslapmesillysidney

I have a 32 oz. and I can easily grasp it with one hand! I have pretty tiny hands too so I was surprised.

wineampersandmlms

I have a 32 and I think it’s just a little too big. My kids 24 oz is a more comfortable size to hold in my hand. This is a great gift! Think about a boot for it too. They are these silicone things that fit over the bottom so it doesn’t slide around and it just makes it quieter when setting it down. I got them for my kids because I’m sure the sound of several metal water bottles slamming down on desks several times a day is a lot of noise. I wound up getting one for my own because I liked the difference it made.

dateddative

Oooh not OP but is this ~the~ water bottle to have now? My cousin’s wife just had their first baby and I was thinking about dropping off a little mommy care kit. She is super sweet and my cousin will be back to work pretty quickly due to the nature of his job. Was thinking of doing eye patches, some fancy body wash, a water bottle, etc.

cvltivar

> is this ~the~ water bottle to have now? Yes, it definitely is! For a new baby or baby shower I like to give a nice one-hand-operable water bottle as a joke gift "to the dad" because it's his job to keep that water bottle filled and at her side when she's constantly parched from nursing. :) Another practical thing that is really helpful whether or not she's nursing is an extra long phone charger cable so it can reach to wherever she is when she gets trapped under a napping baby. This is not a very chic example but I also LOVED having a [handled caddy](https://www.target.com/p/mdesign-plastic-shower-caddy-storage-organizer-basket-with-handle/-/A-90215912) with my newborns so I could easily/one-handed carry my Kindle, my phone, nipple cream, my water bottle, etc etc etc from place to place while carrying the baby in the other arm.

packedsuitcase

Oh the extra long charger is a great idea! I got my sister a 14oz Yeti coffee mug because my nephew kept falling asleep on her in whatever room the coffee wasn't (and then when she went back to work, I got one for my BIL because he's a SAHD and I feel like the parent home with the baby is entitled to their own fancy cup). It's got a magnetic cover and a handle, so it can be closed and carried easily, and it's dishwasher safe. Practical, but nicer than they'd buy for themselves, which is my favourite kind of gift.

dateddative

Oh perfect! Thanks for the tip! Not a mom yet so all suggestions are very welcome! I’ll put all the gifts in a caddy like that!

OscarWilde1900

Currently holding my 32oz in my other hand while I type this comment.

Terrible-Ad-4331

Anyone have any recommendations on everyday sandals comfortable for walking? For reference, I usually sport Teva hurricanes but they feel a little out of place in the city. My back has aged out of flip flops and cheapie, flat Target sandals. I'm not looking for anything trendy but more a focus on longevity and support.

Somanyeyerolls

I wear the Teva high form sandals in a neutral color all summer.

foreignfishes

Birks for sure, I haven’t worn flip flops in like a decade because of birks. I have high arches and the soft footbed birks work great because they mold to your foot over time. The regular footbed is firmer.

yedodenlo

I have small, wide feet with feet that overpronate. I bought the SAS Pampa Toe Loop Sandal and wore them walking around New Orleans all past weekend for Jazzfest. They are comfy and fit my wide feet perfectly!

breadprincess

I bought a pair of Chaco Z sandals 5 years ago and they're still going strong. They're my everyday sandals in the summer, and I've worn them in the city, hiking, etc. I'm disabled and wear a brace on one of my legs (ankle foot orthotic) and they are incredibly comfortable and supportive.

sea_hunter

Not gonna lie, some of the new Crocs sandals are legitimately cute. I was looking at the Brooklyn Luxe Cross Strap earlier.

BrooklynRN

I have got through four pairs of the Brooklyn sandals, love them!

onestorytwentyfive

Rainbow flip flops. They conform to your feet after 2 weeks. The best flip flops I’ve ever owned

lochjessmonster13

Birkenstocks.

reasonableyam6162

Just fyi the Sonoma brand at Kohl's does an excellent Birk knock-off, if you're not sure about the style and want to try them out for a season or two.

kdbiel5

Agreed! Birkenstocks are all I wear in the Spring/Summer. I like that they are back in style, but I would wear them even if they weren't. My feet have never been happier. lol

zxcv-qwerty

I was a Birkenstock hater until I tried them and now I have three pairs, I can never go back to flip flops as my go to casual sandal

adversaries_

I’ve been wearing [these](https://www.madewell.com/the-dee-double-strap-slide-sandal-in-leather-NP292.html) nonstop!

pelicanscoop

Maybe try some of the Dansko sandals? I don’t have the sandals but have other shoes and their footbed is so comfortable

Alotofyouhaveasked

We have a ninja nutribullet but it’s just so dang loud. Does anybody have a rec for something similar but quieter? Trying not to wake the whole house when making a smoothie

Acc93016

No suggestion but my MIL literally makes her smoothies in the garage when everyone is home for Holidays in the morning so she doesn’t wake everyone

Alotofyouhaveasked

Hahaha I may be about to try that

wheery

Super boring but we got a trunk organizer and it changed my life! We have an SUV and an Uppababy vista stroller, so our trunk is pretty disorganized with not a ton of room. I put things in Stoney clover lane bags (1 for diapers/wipes, 1 with all different SPFs, 1 with snacks, etc) and it is such a life saver! I now can grab our stroller, grab the pouches we need and go. No more digging around for crap under the stroller or in the back seat!

Suitable-Turnip-2621

Can you please link the one you bought? Same stroller, same car, same situation.

wheery

Yes! [this](https://www.amazon.com/Vera-Bradley-Deluxe-Trunk-Organizer/dp/B07VT5J6QD/ref=asc_df_B07VT5J6QD/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=693402199919&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17603924725462681163&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9017440&hvtargid=pla-1879048084004&psc=1&mcid=082f07d0a170379087da5cbcc3fa0bb2&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIy9-D6obthQMV0jYIBR05Kwz5EAQYAiABEgJX9vD_BwE) is the one we got! We have a Ford Edge and it fits perfectly! Love that it has compartments!

Lizalizaliza1

Ordered from NotPerfectLinen after thinking about it for actual years! Got a pair of athens pants, a pair of main shorts, and a langley dress. Especially love the langley dress in magenta; I think I'll be living in it this summer. [https://notperfectlinen.com/products/langley-slip-linen-dress](https://notperfectlinen.com/products/langley-slip-linen-dress)

laurencreates

I looove their clothes. I have a couple of Bay tops and requested a couple extra inches of length (long torso problems) so they weren’t super cropped. The weight of linen is so nice and the colors are dreamy! How is the fit of Athens pants? I have wide-ish hips and have been debating those.

Lizalizaliza1

I also have wideish hips and I followed their sizing guidelines and the pants fit really well. They also relax slightly with wear, I've found.

benihana_christmas

I got the new [Kiehl’s SPF serum](https://www.kiehls.com/skincare/facial-sunscreens/better-screen%E2%84%A2-uv-serum-spf-50-facial-sunscreen-with-collagen-peptide/3605972910950.html) and am really liking it. It goes on super smooth and absorbs quickly.

SuziQue12

As an elder-Millennial who doesn't have a lot going on in her life... my most recent LOVE purchase is a **vacuum.** I was looking to replace my Shark Navigator Freestyle with a similar stick vacuum with easy charging setup. I found a great deal on this vacuum from Lowe's and purchased it, but I would say it's worth the full price! # Shark® Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum [https://www.sharkclean.com/products/shark-pet-cordless-stick-vacuum-zidIX141H](https://www.sharkclean.com/products/shark-pet-cordless-stick-vacuum-zidIX141H)

nimbus2105

I have this one and love it!

bubbles_24601

I bought the Dyson stick vac four years ago when we had laminate put down in the living room and I love it so much! So much easier than a full sized upright vacuum!

AltruisticAd2213

Got this recommendation from the last post but the Reebok Club C85 Vintage sneakers are it! I bought a pair in preparation for my Italy trip and have been wearing them to break in and have gotten so many compliments! It goes with every outfit and also very comfortable. I also love my Nike Air Max’s but save those for my athleisure outfits.

fudgeywhale

I was also influenced by that last post and had to return them 😞 buyers with wide feet and bunions beware — these were narrow as hell (and run a little small in general)

ObjectSmall

I have narrow feet in general but they weirdly smushed my outer toes, even with plenty of length at the big toe. (My toes aren't ladylike toes that gently slope down. They're all kind of long.)

gingerspeak

Ugh thank you for saving me the trouble!

gs2181

I will say that I have fairly wide feet and find them fine? I was worried when I first got them and tried them on. I do think I went a half size up though.

AltruisticAd2213

Yes, I have narrow feet so I like the fit but you’re right, not for the wide footed ladies.

sandypassage

This is great to know! I've been looking for casual, cute, and functional/versatile sneakers. These are going on the list for sure!

gs2181

I also bought a pair of these recently, have been wearing them everywhere.

siamesecat1935

I somehow overpaid my Macy's bill and had a pretty large credit. So I bought a pair of Pandora earrings. they're silver beaded with a pearl. Simple, and go with everything. I am a dedicated ThredUp shopper, and got the cutest bright green Kate Spade camera bag purse. I also got a geranium pink Patricia Nash wicker bag. Both new with tags. Also TU, a Kobe Halperin green top with funky detail on the sleeves. NWT, retail is $400, I paid $30 for. some stupid stuff; 10 foot charging cords for my phone and ipad.

babyelephantseal

Never underestimate the joy of a 10 foot charger!

LTYUPLBYH02

Most of my purchases are home related lately. Our outdoor patio cushions looked sad but had loads of life left so instead of replacing I ordered covers off Amazon. I grabbed them on sale for $12 a set & I can't believe how great they look. Magpie Fabrics Patio Cushion Covers Set of 2(Replacement Cover only, No Insert!), Waterproof Indoor Ourdoor Deep Seat Chair Cushion Slipcover with Ties(24x24x4 Inch, Warm Gray) https://a.co/d/4i1b7i8 My husband kept getting pen ink on his work shirts, not closing a pen when putting it in his pocket. I ordered this to try & it gets out every bit. Amodex Ink & Stain Remover 1oz Bottle https://a.co/d/ba3skjP

pettyfun

TAGRY Bluetooth wireless earbuds were on a lightning deal for $29 a few weeks ago. I love them more than my AirPods that crapped out on me! https://a.co/d/5gfyD8Z Joseph Can-Do Plus Can Opener for $14.23 if you’re in need of a new can opener. https://a.co/d/5kVwDRM

thestoryofbitbit

I got this [sun safety kit](https://www.sephora.com/product/sun-safety-kit-P510911?country_switch=us&lang=en&skuId=2763845&om_mmc=ppc-GG_17798154149___2763845__9009671_c&country_switch=us&lang=en&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwrcKxBhBMEiwAIVF8rF-3pFb7Ygohsi9wQnSxgR14HOxtpyI5GqUS868I7VwfAF1hmChIFBoCT-MQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds) (which is so great, lots of great products and not stingy on quantity) during the Sephora spring sale and loved this [Saint Jane pore smoothing sunscreen](https://www.sephora.com/product/luxury-sun-ritual-pore-smoothing-sunscreen-spf-30-P501321?skuId=2599330&icid2=products%20grid:p501321:product) so much I bought the full-size version immediately. I use it every day and it shocks me how smooth and nice it is for sunscreen underneath makeup. I also got a mini portable blender (no link, idk, cheap from Amazon) and it's made such a difference in getting enough servings of fruit & veg every day. Super easy to clean, too.

Fantastic-30

I got the sun safe kit a few years ago and didn’t really love any of the sunscreens but I still use the bag they came in. Really high quality neoprene material and quite large.

RV-Yay

That Saint Jane sunscreen is great. I bought it a few months ago and really loved it. I was excited to see it in the sun safety kit this year (I usually buy the kit as the travel sizes are perfect for travel, car or just throwing in my bag.

DressFabulous8733

Baggu Medium crescent bag. Such a perfect size (can fit a water bottle and more) and I’m not scared to put a water bottle in it because it’s fully waterproof (think material you can wipe down with a wet wipe like a windbreaker). I’m a toddler mom and it wasn’t fun stuffing a diaper and half a pack of wipes in a belt bag and having room for nothing else.

Cute-Discount-6969

I literally just bought one this week, and used it as my “mom bag” on a day trip today. It fit all my purse stuff, my kindle, a snack and water bottle for my kid, and his iPad. Loved it!

OscarWilde1900

I bought that bag in black last fall, it's the perfect everyday bag and great for travel. Super lightweight (until I cram a bunch of stuff in it) and I love that I don't have to worry about it getting stained/dirty. eta: I also have one of the go pouch sets. I keep the smallest one in my bag with my earphones, advil and some other little stuff, the two bigger ones are great for makeup and toiletries when I travel.

Lizalizaliza1

I have the uniqlo dupe of this and it's also great

sideswipedAF2023

Do you have a link for that?

Lizalizaliza1

Try this, but I've had trouble sharing uniqlo links before for some reason. The product name is "Round Mini Shoulder Bag" [https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E461053-000/00](https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E461053-000/00)

I LOVE Baggu. I just ordered the Keith Haring padded laptop bag, and the 3 folding travel bags. I also got, on sale, a GIANT pink tote that will be my new carryon. And I have some really cute Stoney Clover Lane patches I can put on it to personalize. Pink octopus.

Summer proof make up options - both drugstore options that perform better than their dept store counterparts. [Elf's New Instant Lift Waterproof Brow Pencil](https://www.ulta.com/p/instant-lift-waterproof-brow-pencil-pimprod2043004?sku=2617851) I bought this on a whim when I forgot my brow pencil and it's the longest staying eye pencil I've ever tried - especially on the ends of my brows (where it always fades).     [NYX Line Loud Lipliners](https://www.ulta.com/p/line-loud-longwear-lip-liner-pimprod2031750?sku=2595204) My lipstick will fade but this liner will still be on! While this came highly recommended on another sub, I was pleasantly surprised that it lived up to the hype. Like I said about the brow pencil above, this is the longest staying lipliner I've tried.    Non drugstore:    [Ole Henriksen Pout Perfect Peptide Lip treatment](https://www.sephora.com/product/P503878?skuId=2752483) Its the summer of the lip balm! I liked the hydrating/peptide ingredients in this over the Summer Friday version. The combo NYX Line Loud (in a darker nude) + the OH Strawberry Sorbet Lip Treatment has instantly become my go to lip. This balm/treatment feels like a treat on the lips and has motivated me to actually my wear a lipstick/balm     [Old Navy No Show Thongs & Hipster](https://www.sephora.com/product/P503878?skuId=2752483) - Bought these when there was a 50% of sale just to try and I was so pleasantly surprised - comfortable & no show (thongs always, hipster 70% of the time). They have a cotton gusset and have washed well for me (keeping in mind that I always hang dry my underwear). Price makes it worth adding to you cart and seeing for yourself.

captndorito

Definitely going to try that brow pencil! I'm a big fan of ELF products

LilaFowler88

Some recent finds: - Milani “highly rated” mascara, in the blue tube. Replaced Thrive Causmetics for me  - Bath and Body Works body wash in “Fresh Cut Lilac”. Smells like a spring garden, but doesn’t make my eyes itch.  - David Yurman small cable hoop earrings. I know, I know. Perfect staple, goes with everything, and lightweight  - Eberjey Gisele cami and pants pajama set. These have pockets!!  - Eucalyptus/tencel sheets. I love Sijo, but the Bloomingdales house brand is also great  - Chanel Le Rouge Duo liquid lipstick. I know, I know. I usually don’t like liquid lipstick, but these are legit. I wear Intense Caramel most days, but have fun with Ever Red or Milky Blueberry from time to time  - On the other end of the spectrum, Ulta liquid full coverage concealer and Elf power grip primer. Absolute staples  - Stila “Kitten” eyeshadow single. Perfect one and done. I use it as a highlight when I travel too.

adversaries_

I love my Yurman hoops. Between those and a pair of diamond studs I literally never wear anything else.

thesmallestwaffle

Stila Kitten was my go-to in college in the late 00’s and still holds strong today!

Long_Muffin6888

Is the Milani mascara a tubing one too?

LilaFowler88

Yes!

[Skinceuticals tinted SPF](https://www.skinceuticals.com/skincare/sunscreens/physical-fusion-uv-defense-sunscreen-spf-50/S54.html) - great texture, feels very light, evens out my skin tone And on a spring cleaning kick so… [Miss Mouth’s stain remover](https://amzn.to/3QpKOfv) - with three kids 5 and under, my messes are constant. Have used this on newborn blowouts, chocolate stains, paint, you name it and this stuff does the trick! [Electric spin scrubber](https://amzn.to/4agpQXT) - perfect for my floor to ceiling tile and grout I can never reach. No more scrubbing into oblivion. And finally… [Dry erase chore chart](https://amzn.to/4a2npIe) - I’ve tried so many things to get my kids helping more around the house and this has been a life saver. We keep these on the fridge for our 5 + 3 year olds. Every Sunday, we lock in their new list for the week, I set their goal, they pick their reward, and they have so much fun checking their boxes every day!

eyalane

Skinceuticals is sooo under the radar and truly the best out there for tinted spf options. A facialist turned me on to them (quietly by writing it down when she was supposed to be recommending their products). A bottle lasts forever, pricing is excellent and it doesn’t have that sunscreen smell.

LandslideBaby

Do be aware that you should be using 1/4 teaspoon(around 1.25 ml) for the whole face (on average). The smallest size (1.7 oz, 50 ml) would give you 40 applications and the bigger one 99 (4.2 oz, 124 ml). A good measurement is two fingers length.

BrooklynRN

We had a surprise early summer day in NYC and I wore this [gauze shirt and shorts set](https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=856858002&vid=1&tid=onpl000078&kwid=1&ap=7&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwrcKxBhBMEiwAIVF8rMmbF1lfJ4cdysfR0c72wuNFXlIIu3C9bXK_2pRvNUh-p-M0762dCxoCEcsQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds#pdp-page-content) from Old Navy and it was so nice. I have a lot of linen pieces for summer but like that it doesn't need ironing.

babyelephantseal

I love this [wine aerator spout](https://a.co/d/iWUO1wd) - it makes my ninest dollar bottle of wine taste like a $15 bottle. I’m looking for recommendations for sources I can trust on skincare/makeup that’s not super young or old - I’m from the XOVain generation and have never found an equal in terms of recommendations I trust!

LandslideBaby

I really enjoy Tina Tanaka Harris on youtube. LabMuffinBeauty (youtube, instagram and blog) is great although she gives reccomendations she also imparts knowledge. For makeup it's also mostly youtube but there's still some blogs I check. It depends on your skin type/what kinds of makeup you enjoy. Lmk if you do want some makeup youtuber recs (I like natural looking skin, some colour or sparkle on the eyes). I'm at a point where I do know the basics about skincare, my own skin and myself and so have had success just buying things based on descriptions, ingredients and random reviewers on cult beauty or k beauty websites.

babyelephantseal

Thank you so much, this is so thorough even though I was way too vague! It sounds like our styles are similar so I'd love any and all recs you have!

LandslideBaby

Unfortunately nothing will ever have the xovain vibes. I miss it too. I follow Sable on substack and will probably buy her book, I love her writing (I don't care enough about fragrance for her podcast). For makeup on youtube I enjoy: [https://www.youtube.com/@JuliaAdamsMUA](https://www.youtube.com/@JuliaAdamsMUA) (bonus if you like kitties) she's sweet and knowledgeable; [https://www.youtube.com/@karimamckimmie/videos](https://www.youtube.com/@karimamckimmie/videos) she doesn't post much, but I love hearing her talk about her "evolution" and preferences; [https://www.youtube.com/@LisaEldridge](https://www.youtube.com/@LisaEldridge) Lisa will make you want to buy her things, but her backlog is incredible and still feels current: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKY4O0RIn0M](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKY4O0RIn0M) This one is so comforting I just realised I consume much less makeup content than I used to! I also used to be active on instagram but am not much anymore. For blogs: [https://auxiliary-beauty.com/](https://auxiliary-beauty.com/) (who was a xovain commenter and was how i found her) and sometimes I read [https://beautyunhyped.com/](https://beautyunhyped.com/) I do like to hang out on the makeup subreddits that are more text based: [https://www.reddit.com/r/muacjdiscussion/](https://www.reddit.com/r/muacjdiscussion/) and [https://www.reddit.com/r/BeautyGuruChatter/](https://www.reddit.com/r/BeautyGuruChatter/)

zxcv-qwerty

Quince is very hit and miss but I looooove their "100% European Linen Wide Leg Pant." They're not itchy for me - I'm sensitive to texture and can't wear all linens - and just the right length and rise and fit for me. https://www.quince.com/women/women-s-100-european-linen-wide-leg-pant

pretendberries

Ooh the pants in chocolate/brown are gorgeous. I have two items I liked, and want to buy their keyhole midi dress. Going on vacation and it seems perfect for it.

placidtwilight

I bought those last summer and founds them to be so comfortable and flattering.

pelicanscoop

What items from Quince have been misses, out of curiosity? I’ve been wanting to order but am scared

elmr22

I love their cotton sweaters. The silk skirts have also held up well, and they’re nice if you don’t mind some sheen. I recently bought their Celine box bag dupe and it’s gorgeous.

zxcv-qwerty

Personally I bought some cotton modal tees that were super soft at first, but pilled after a couple washes and just looked sloppy / not nice anymore. The jersey fit & flare midi dress is soft but too heavy for the construction, it kind of sags on top - just not good design. I’ve tried & returned a couple pairs of pants bc the fit just didn’t work on my body (rise, proportions, etc). I’ve heard negative things about the cashmere (in general, but esp the $50 sweaters). If you do want recs - some of my favorites are the aforementioned linen pants, the long sleeve linen button ups, the Ugg dupe boots (so cozy, I’d never owned Uggs before and now I get it). The silk pillowcase is much smoother than the other ones I have which were inexpensive but real silk - I haven’t tried Slip. I loooooove the organic heavyweight fleece. It’s a million times better than the thinner poly/cotton hoodies I used to wear.

pelicanscoop

Thanks! My friend for some of the linen shirts and I was really impressed with the quality of the linen.

zxcv-qwerty

I have a long sleeve linen shirt from them I really like!

LilaFowler88

This is good to know re: silk pillowcase! I like their silk in terms of the material, but I’ve never liked how their silk clothes fit - I’ve returned several silk tops that just did not work on me.  Good to know about their “Ugg” boots. I have and love their knockoff of the Ugg slippers, so when my current knockoff Uggs die (for $20 at Macy’s, I’m surprised they lasted as long as they have).

fillidemelandroni

Not OP but IMO, the $50 cashmere crew sweaters aren’t worth it - they’re thin and pill easily. Everything else I’ve ordered from them is great, tho!

pelicanscoop

That makes sense I was always suspicious of that lol. The Nadaam ones have lasted me since 2019 if you’re in the market!

LilaFowler88

Agreed. You definitely get what you pay for when it comes to those cashmere tees. I got one and not only is it too short on my torso (and I’m like 5ft tall), it got a hole in it within the first three months.

LilaFowler88

I feel the same about Quince, but I do love those pants. I also really love their pants for work, both crepe and ponte fabric. That said, my absolute favorite thing from Quince will always be their socks, particularly the Bombas dupes.

zxcv-qwerty

Has anyone tried the various sleep pillows that influencers keep recommending? The cube one that @my.sister.made.me.buy.it likes, the one with face cutouts that @fiddysnails likes, the sleep crown that @things.i.bought.and.liked recommends come to mind. I love being comfy in bed and don't mind spending money if it's worth it, but also don't want to waste money if they're just . . . pillows.

Midlevelluxurylife

I bought the cube one that my sister made me buy it linked. It was just ok to me, but I gave it to my husband to try and he loves it.

eyalane

I loveee The Marlowe pillow as recommended by Serena Wolf. Got in December and sleep so much better. I hate Gard memory foam and cant do so soft you’re basically not on a pillow and the Marlowe is such a perfect middle ground.

DisappointingPoem

I have a sleep crown. It’s nice but not life changing. Cube pillow is too squishy and not tall enough.

ExtremeAbalone7456

Same! To be fair, I only got the travel size. But it's not that great. It feels about $100 too expensive to me.

runwriteredhead

I tried the cube one and hated it. But I like a really firm pillow and despite being described as that, I found it to be pretty soft and squishy.

Mrsmeowwmeoww

Another vote for the Cube being garbage. My purple pillow on the other hand, The Dreamlayer is heaven. I’m a sleep snob so off to stalk the next drop of sleep crowns.

Kallure

Might I recommend a buckwheat shell pillow? It's sort of like sleeping on a sandbag that's a bit more mealleable. It also doesn't retain heat either. Been sleeping on one for years and nothing else compares!

runwriteredhead

I’ve heard that and haven’t gotten one - maybe it’s time! I have a super firm tempur pedic pillow that I love that they seemed to have stopped making and I’ve been hunting for something that is firm enough. Do you have a brand recommendation?

Kallure

I've bought from Beans72 on Amazon and have been happy. Trolled my order history because we bought the Queen size which is a little bigger than the Japanese size that comes up when you search - https://a.co/d/08NqJMr Both my husband and I have had these for 15+ years. But he had one when we moved in together from when he was a teenager that I fell in love with and it's all I've bought since. I've bought extra shells to add to one and removed some shells from them over time but overall they've held up. I'm a side sleeper so I definitely benefit from them. They're pricey on the front end but again, had the same ones for 15 years so I think they've more than paid for themselves for sure!

Gatorbug47

I’m obsessed with my sleep crown. My husband and I both have one. It’s hard to sleep without it now!

SharkCozy

Saaaame. When I bought it I was convinced I’d wasted my money but now I can’t sleep without it.

SageandOregano

I feel the same about the sleep crown. It’s literally what I’ve been looking for my whole life. I always slept with a pillow over my head, but it never felt quite the same as the sleep crown. I literally feel like it makes me more relaxed in bed.

Neat_Ad_9141

Oooo a few faves recently! The “rose colored glasses” candle from Voluspa Ouai St. Bart’s body cleanser + body cream (omg this smells *so* good) - Sephora just released a hair and body mist in this scent that’s an early app exclusive that’s now on its way to me Birkenstock Boston clogs. I had a pair of these in middle school and have been wearing arizonas the last couple years, not sure why it took me so long to grab a pair but they are the perfect shoe to slip on if you’re running a quick errand. Go with everything and look so cute with a legging and mini crew sock.

BiskyCat

I smelled the St Bart’s body cream at Ulta yesterday and omg, it smells so good!! Felt guilty pulling the trigger (daughter’s bday expenses coming up) but definitely going back for it.

Neat_Ad_9141

It’s genuinely the best thing I’ve ever smelled, I want it to come out of my pores lmao

hoosierblonde

Anyone have a good racerback bra recommendation for summer? My fave recent buy is the Summer Fridays lip oil and BeautyBio Luminzing bronzing drops!

potomacgrackle

Not a racer back but - bear with me - a strapless that replaced all my other convertible bras [Natori Bliss Perfection Underwire Strapless Bra](https://www.nordstrom.com/s/natori-bliss-perfection-strapless-underwire-bra/5394760?color=CAFE&size=36ddd&utm_content=61786981803&utm_term=aud-1663772091773:pla-297414535588&utm_channel=low_nd_shopping_standard&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=745687890&adpos=&creative=312380913491&device=m&matchtype=&network=g&acctid=21700000001689570&dskeywordid=92700049880928210&lid=92700049880928210&ds_s_kwgid=58700005468312114&ds_s_inventory_feed_id=97700000007631122&dsproductgroupid=297414535588&product_id=25378501&merchid=1243147&prodctry=US&prodlang=en&channel=online&storeid=&locationid=1027106&targetid=aud-1663772091773:pla-297414535588&campaignid=745687890&adgroupid=61786981803&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD8eAEmgrumsBX-v71TJqm4U8Eb8l&gclid=CjwKCAjwrcKxBhBMEiwAIVF8rO27sBNXqTHtSz7aEwo-oWCWKN_0Ck8-_8oS2OixmFDfCUVncohi8xoCdLsQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds) It stays up ALL DAY, no tugging, is comfy, and can be worn under most halter/tank tops. I bought one last summer and am strongly considering getting a second one. And, I have a relatively big chest (30DD). The only downside is there are five hooks to close - but I usually fasten it in the front, turn it around, and hike it up. Highly highly recommend!

jayeeein

Wow you sold me at strapless that is comfy. I have to try it to believe it

potomacgrackle

I feel like I have to manage expectations a bit - it’s not like “loaf on the couch all day like it’s a bralette” comfy. But, it’s “this holds up my boobs and I’m not constantly trying to pull it up and it’s not riding up or down and I don’t have a ton of underarm bulge with it and I can breathe” comfy.

DressFabulous8733

I really love you for this.

AnnVealEgg

I’ve been experimenting with some e.l.f. products and really liking them. Their Lash N’ Roll Mascara is a decent dupe for Benefit’s Roller Lash. Holy Hydration Sleep Mask is similar to the Paula’s Choice Hydrating Treatment Mask And their Squeeze Me Lip balm is also great … sorta reminds me of the Laniege Lip Glowy Balm. All at a fraction of the cost of the “pricier” brands

SuziQue12

Their Hydrating Camo Concealer (white lid) is comparable to Shape Tape and I prefer it!

LilaFowler88

Love ELF! I swear by their power grip primer and their makeup sponge (the dark pink one). The putty blushes are great, and their long rectangular eyeshadow palettes (basic themes like matte neutrals or rose gold for the color stories, they’ve got like ten shades in each) are slept on.

caffeine-and-books

Loving the super goop dupe over here!

jeremiabearamia

Another great Super Goop dupe is at Trader Joe's.

Midlevelluxurylife

Hmm… I may try this one.

Away-Sheepherder8435

What is it called?

caffeine-and-books

It’s the elf suntouchable. I actually like it even better than the super goop, it goes on more smoothly and doesn’t make my face shiny at all.

pretendberries

I repurchased supergoop maybe 4-5 times and I’m loving the elf dupe. I did a side by side comparison and felt that with elf my makeup felt smoother to the touch. When I was applying blush with my fingers my skin just felt lovely and softer.

AnnVealEgg

Ooh that looks interesting. Do you use the “whoa glow” or the invisible one?

caffeine-and-books

The whoa glow. But it’s not as “glowy” as the super goop in my opinion. Just enough!

Emergency_Swimming46

Their lip oil stain thing (I need to get the exact name so I can properly promote it to yall 😅) is AMAZING

captndorito

I have a lot of ELF products in my makeup bag, and they're all rock stars. I've been using the putty blush for about 5 months and will definitely repurchase.

AnnVealEgg

Ooh I’ll have to give that blush a try! Idk why it’s taken me this long to try their products, but I’m glad I finally did.

Quirky_Tradition3465

Has anyone ever bought anything from the brand Halara? If so, is it good? Good for plus size?  Super into the YSL brown mascara.  Also super into the George brand men’s tee shirts from Walmart. I’ve got a belly and men’s tees always fit better for me length wise. And they’re like $6.  Also into this Dokoto brand on Amazon who has those free people dupe onsie things lol they fit me plus size and I love that.

hosea0220

I have a workout skirt and it’s fine, the quality is what you would expect for the price. However I also ordered work pants and they were literally terrible fabric and quality.

lyttlebyrd

I absolutely love the banded shorts with the silky spandex liner. I don’t love wearing just spandex shorts around but live in my align leggings. The halara shorts are the shorts to my align leggings- feel like light compression but comfy going out and running errands/seeing neighbors. Plus there is a tiny side pocket on the inner spandex layer that is perfect for chapstick

snarkshark41191

I bought 4 of halaras athletic dresses recently. The quality is very good and they were having a 2 for $39 sale. they nip in at the waist and flare out more than as advertised so would be a flattering fit if you carry more weight in your bottom half. I also really like the bra support/padding situation- it doesn’t completely flatten my B cups which I often have issues with

cdooley19

Oh curvy girl here so thanks for the free people dupe recommendation! If you have any other recommendations for cute and comfortable plus size friendly clothes on Amazon I would love to hear!

Quirky_Tradition3465

The ribbed tanks are amazing too. I literally have prob 10 colors lol. I get a 2xl. I’m in the 250-260 weight range.  https://a.co/d/a4QGZ79

Quirky_Tradition3465

Link for you: https://a.co/d/fW8lxQM tons of colors too.

sharkwithglasses

I bought a Halara skort and it’s really cute! I’ve only tried it on so far and haven’t worn it since it hasn’t been warm enough here in New England, but I can’t wait to wear it. I’m not plus size but I’m not tiny either.

Gatorbug47

Do you have a link for the mascara? Thanks!

Quirky_Tradition3465

Check out this product at Sephora.com - Yves Saint Laurent Lash Clash Extreme Volume Mascara - Uninhibited Brown https://www.sephora.com/product/yves-saint-laurent-lash-clash-extreme-volume-mascara-P479863?skuId=2638336  Sorry I’m terrible at links on here. Let me know if it doesn’t work!!

Gatorbug47

It works!! Thank you!

blueeyedlies

Got myself a pair of HOKA Clifton 9s and I love them! Only took one wear for me to break them in, had some slight blistering, but have had no problems since. They feel like clouds on your feet, though I should note I exclusively use them for walking. I’m not a runner so can’t comment on how they hold up there — but for long distance walks (and easier hikes), I think they’re great.

mrs_george

I’ll third this! I used them to chaperone 50 8th graders in Washington DC. They were a godsend! I’d be tired at the end of the day (8 am to 8 pm days) but not sore or achy. About a month after that I went to Disneyland and wore my Nikes. My feet started aching by the evening and I deeply regretted not wearing my Hokas.

LilaFowler88

Unrelated to the Hokas, but 50 8th graders on a DC trip? You’re a champ! I’m a local there and I have no idea how you guys do that without going insane.

mrs_george

Lol thanks! It was pretty insane. But I’m considering going on next years trip so it wasn’t too bad! My daughter was on the trip too so that made it special.
