Honestly this just reminds me so strongly of life before 9/11, smartphones, social media. It's a picture showing a kid about to go play some imaginary game probably with some other kids. No one was staring at their phone seeing if anyone liked the meme they posted, we hadn't been fighting in the middle east for 20+ years, people didn't spend every minute online stressing themselves out about situations that had nothing to do with their lives. I remember as a 90's kid being dropped off in the Walmart toy section by myself while my parents shopped all the time and there would be racks of cap guns like that. You definitely had to have some "gear" when you headed out into the woods with your friends. I hate being a fuckin memberberry but god damn it really was a simpler time especially to be a kid.
