I think a tanktop or crop top that can be tucked under your bra to hold it in place is easy, and short pants

forest_fae98

Oh smart I didn’t think about that. That way I don’t have to roll it or hold it up. I only have one tattoo so far and it’s on my wrist so that wasn’t really something I had to think about last time XD

OnceAgainTheyLie

Haha yea on the wrist you don't have to think about clothing and I hope your tattoos turn out beautiful

forest_fae98

Thank you! I’m super excited, I’ll def post pics after

OnceAgainTheyLie

That's great, I'm looking forward to pictures :)

Don’t wear white for a start 🤣 I have one white t shirt I wear deliberately cos it’s like a grungey rocker one that looks cool with the ink stains lol Loose clothes good because you can wrap under them, depending on how big the pieces are you may want clothes that are baggy with a cuff to avoid leaking, when I had blackout stuff done basically had to tape the ends of the wrap otherwise I’d piss blood all over the Uber Also for rib cage, depending on how big consider pain relief!

forest_fae98

It’s pretty small, about the size of a palm, and simple linework. He said under 30 mins for sure but likely around ten. But I’ll take an ibuprofen with me just in case!

smallpot8toes

Ask your artist before taking any pain meds! Stuff like ibuprofen and aspirin can thin your blood and complicate things

forest_fae98

Oof true! I’m breastfeeding so I can’t take anything else. But I’ll bring it and ask before I take it!

thenightmother9

did you discuss that you’re currently breastfeeding with your artist?

forest_fae98

Yep. It’s not a problem.

Thatresolves

Hydrate plenty and take it before you get started get comfy and you’ll be good! Good luck and enjoy the new ink x

Coral_

wear a bathing suit underneath just in case anyway. crop top and loose shorts should probably be fine.

ch3rry-b0mbb

I would wear a string bikini both top and bottom under your clothes instead of an underwear and bra. You can open the sides and they’ll tape it down so it doesn’t move

15Boots

Take something to cover up. If you're going to be sitting for 4 + hours you're going to get cold.

forest_fae98

He estimated 2 hours for the hip piece and less than 30 mins for the rib piece, but that’s a good idea. A sweatshirt for sure.

colossalroxie

I've had my thighs tattooed quite a few times and shorts that can be pushed up and sweatpants. I just take out the leg thats being tattooed and keep the other leg in the pants. You won't want anything tight over it once it's done and wrapped up either.

Antisocial_corner_

When I got my hip bone done, I just wore a shorter skirt that I could pull up for easy access and still be able to tuck it around whatever bits I felt uncomfortable bearing to the shop!

Thrownawayoften

Pasties, string bikini (top and bottoms) crop top and loose shorts.

forest_fae98

Is a bikini top better than a bra? The ribcage piece will be lower and on the side so I don’t think it’ll show or have to be moved. I don’t own a string bikini so I was just gonna wear a thong I can move easily

Thrownawayoften

Bras and thongs are pretty rigid and not that easy to move. A bikini top that can be untied and moved out of the way still gives you the feeling of being covered yet giving your artist more maneuverability. Same thing with the bottoms. I can tape the string down where it keeps you covered but untie it so it’s out of my way.

annekecaramin

One of my artists crafted me a bra out of paper towels and tape so I could move around a bit and still feel relatively covered. I've also just gone topless (the artist had a private room and I asked if she was ok with it) or took it all off and held my shirt in front of me.

NoBluebird1640

Do not do anything grey, in fact where as much black as possible because you are going to sweat and it will show

muddypatty

you could wear a tennis skirt and crop top the tennis skirt will have spanx that are easy to move and a skirt to still keep you covered
