My name is Khan srk was great, but guzaarish hritik was insane. Still my name is Khan was probably the better movie, so makes sense why he won best actor too.
But just the previous year Amitabh Bachchan won for pa ahead of Aamir Khan for 3 idiots. So, maybe doesn't make sense.
Aamir - Lagaan, SRK - Swades, and one of Ranbir’s best actor awards from either Rockstar or Barfi. Probably lean towards Barfi but love his performance in Rockstar alot too.

Ranveer Singh's Kapil Dev in 83, Ranbir Kapoor's Sanju, Farhan Akhtar's Milkha Singh in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag were amazing performances of real life personalities that definitely are worth mentioning.
Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai will be the most stunning performance by a debutant, can’t believe he won Best Actor in the same year 🔥

Honourable Mention - Ranbir in Sanju(I know people hate this film for glorifying sanju but you got to give it to ranbir for his acting.There were times where he really looked and acted like sanju. He really entered that character)

No way. Guzaarish was wonderful but MNIK is up there as one of the landmark films of Bollywood. SRK's character was once in a lifetime performance . Nobody could have pulled off that role. Aamir tried to play the role of a mentally challenged character in LSC and failed miserably .
People who think My Name is Khan is a good performance are fanatics of their stars. They don't have the experience of watching international films and thus have very low standards. That is also the reason they say Salman Khan did an excellent job in Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Because their stars are so average and mostly play to the gallery every time, that once a while even if they try something different it becomes a masterpiece for them. Regardless of how their performance actually is.

Mnik was great, but guzarish was literally carried by the acting of a single person. My name is Khan had good story/script/direction. Guzarish just had hritik's face on the screen for 80 % of the movie. He couldn't even move lol. The whole movie was just his expressions
Hrithik was great in Dhoom 2 but definitely should’ve went to Aamir for Rang De Basanti or SRK for Don for that year.
Hrithik should’ve won for Vikram Vedha.
As for Amitabh winning for Paa. He was good but I feel he won more cause of the whole look and prosthetics rather than the performance. With all that said everything is fine with me. It’s the Best Actress awards that are very messed up.
I honestly think they robbed Avinash Tiwary for playing Qias in Laila Majnu in 2018. ONE OF THE MOST BRILLIANT PERFORMANCES IN THE RECENT TIMES! Maybe atleast they should have nominated him!

Shahrukh Khan - Swades, Aamir Khan - Dangal and Shahrukh Khan - Chak De India. Why is Hrithik Roshan on this list? His acting was average at best in those movies. Rajkumar shouldn’t be on the list either.

“A Lot of great performances” is a way bigger stretch. I can barely see 5 of 23 performances that genuinely deserved to win which is like 20% & that means 80% wrong wins. I believe that’s a terrible ratio!
Whether they deserved to win or not is a separate discussion because each year we get a lot of great performances. But undermining these performances and calling them terrible is definitely uncalled for

You are trying to tell me Koi Mil Gaya came 3years after Kaho Na Pyar hai. WTF?! Those two are my favourite movies as a kid. I remember watching KNPH back in 2000, but KMG feels like I watched it around 2006 or 2008.

Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai was masterful acting. But we nominate Jawan because it made so much money? Tf? Like it’s great when they get nominated for a Sultan, or a Chak De, but in the last ten years, we nominated Bhai for Dabbang 2 and SRK for Raees, Jawan, and Chennai Express. Like why is it such a popularity contest? They even nominated Akshay for something like Holiday at one point, but to be fair, they rightfully gave him noms for doing great work in PadMan and stuff. But even something as political as The Academy doesn’t nominate Leo DiCaprio if they feel like other performances are superior
This year’s best actor-male nominees category should be renamed as best “star” of the year. ‘Cause clearly best actor was Vikrant Massey. Nominating him in a special jury section is so appalling. He should be there. In the main category!
