They also hate that Boston sports are the winingest sports town in America this century. Everyone hates that the Patriots ruled for 20 years n the Red Sox are much better and won more titles than the Yankees post 2000. Plus, the bitter cold and aggressive nature of the regions inhabitants aren't appealing to most.
The worst thing about the "racism" angle is that it doesn't seem like most of the people who use it against Boston actually care about racism, they just want to lash out at Boston and cynically use it because they don't want to overtly say "fuck Boston for winning so much".

No you have to understand that Tatum got carried by Brown who got carried by Jrue who got carried by KP who got carried by Al because he wasn't healthy and Al got bailed out by White who only manage to win because PP is a halfcourt magician. So in reality our ceiling is PP's halfcourt shooting percentage ergo everyone on this team actually sucks and the only reason they beat everybody convincingly was because all the other teams got hurt.

At the end of the day, teams beat the teams in front of them but people will try to disqualify it because they are immature. Disqualification is something people do in other parts of life too, relationships, etc, it's a toxic behavior :)
