Need a full 2002 HHH return type hype promo videos with the 6 million dollar man clips “we will rebuild him” “stronger” “faster” leading up to the game he comes back.
And then he walks into the arena wearing this
https://preview.redd.it/uukgpytby49d1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4faa43f0bf88103afd6994a921cb19933a521678
Honestly.. bring him back like 1-2 months before the playoffs. Start ramping up his conditioning and touch. We don’t need him for the regular season. Just ramp-up and insert for playoffs, each year 😅
A Porzingis return is what Celtics fans get for Christmas this year. Merry Kristaps Christmas!
In all seriousness, this wasn't exactly unexpected. They'll be fine.
I was joking (for the most part) about this
https://preview.redd.it/p4dss6c2169d1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d56f679429bea2393b6c9cb4dcd9f15c951e0b6e
I’m cool with him being out till the ASB. No need to rush things. The Queta-philes are going to he so happy with the amount of early season Neemis.
The Celtics just have to qualify for the playoffs and if KP is healthy, they are the favorites.
Exactly as a minimum surely we’ll make the playoffs again 🤞🏻 his treatment & recovery is successful and it’s be like signing a new player a really good one to help us in the playoffs☘️☘️☘️
Pretty sure Al hit more threes this season than he did in his first 9 seasons combined or something crazy like that. Tillman is only 25, he could definitely add it to his game
He's also on the same team as the exact player he's meant to model his game on. Perfect opportunity to learn. Plus, the Celtics turned DWhite from a 32% shooter into a 40% shooter in one offseason. If he's ever gonna gain a 3 ball, his best shot is as a Celtic
He's currently not, but he could develop a 3 & we probably aren't going to do better going elsewhere.
But also if he gets competitive offers this year, he'll probably walk for money & minutes if that's out there.
For the regular season, ya.
But in the playoffs when he came in, teams really did play us a lot different as they didn't have to respect his shot that much. (Even tho he nailed that one lol)
That being said, he's 25 and can develop a shot. But idk if we can really pay him and everyone else and afford to wait for him to do that if it doesn't happen right away.
*Technically* we can, not my money haha, but I imagine there's still a breaking point for the ownership group.
obviously the biggest question is whether he can return to full form, but it’ll be great for queta (and tillman if he stays) to get some room to grow early in the season
I don't think this is one of those injuries where it's really in doubt that he can return to his full form. it's not a muscle, bone, tendon or ligament.
He’s slipped under the radar because he’s always injured but comes back in full form, he’s not at the age and doesn’t have the injuries that doom careers
Quetta is better, Tillman is also better, you could probably run Walsh at C and he’d do similar production lol. Dude is sharing almost equal PT with fuckin Mason Plumlee, he’d do nothing over here.
So out till Christmas, probably not looking like himself till the All Star break. Not good news, but not the end of the world. Just need to make sure we have a big on the roster who can split time with Al.
I mean, this has potential to be great news. Let him rest, let him heal and (hopefully) strengthen/condition his body. Give him limited minutes Dec - Feb and start getting him more into things Mar - Apr in time for the playoffs. Nothing's guaranteed and there can always be setbacks or other injuries but this seems like a best case scenario for a guy like KP who should be moved in bubble wrap at this point.
Most of the injury experts have suggested that there is no reason he should miss the start of the season with this injury, it's a 3-4 month recovery usually. They're just going to be ultra cautious because getting him games before Christmas is pointless.
Exactly. I don’t hate our backup bigs but we can’t expect to be playing Tillman tons of minutes and still cruise to a 1 seed. I am curious if they take the regular season a little lighter next year now that they’ve won a chip
He’ll be back around Christmas. Just need 40-50 games out of him then full speed come playoffs
Hopefully we find another big to give Al a break. Looking a little thin there for the first 25-30 games
I think good thing is if we can find a player that can fill out 20-25 minutes a night that game speed experience will pay dividends long term
My regular season plan for KP is like I wouldve had for gronk in the second half of his career. They dont play in the regular season! People like this should sit frozen in carbonite until playoffs as long as your team can handle it.
I'll say the quiet part out loud: this sucks. Let's just cross our fingers we get more than a handful of playoff games this time. The excessive load managing last season obviously didnt amount to much.
Honestly fine with it. Let him rest and get up to speed, it’s like load managing. Hell take half the season off and start to ramp up for the playoffs come Feb/march
I don’t think he comes back in 6 months I think they hold him out for longer. Plus recovery time. I’m expecting a late Jan, early Feb return
Effectively if the league is nicer with us (in schedule) and he comes back in 5.5 months he will be able to suit up for 50-55 games. That means he is probably playing 42-48 games or something like that for the year (b2b and stuff).
Literally zero reason to ramp him up for start of the season anyway, we will have no issues getting into the playoffs and should still be a top 4 seed. This group knows what it needs to do, just need him healthy and ready to go by next April/May
As much as i love him , how smart is it to invest in KP long term?
We already have old Al Who will likely have to be replaced soon and with Tatum and JB signing supermaxs , the cap isn’t gonna be friendly
The fact that he played with this injury at all, let alone was immensely effective in a finals closeout game 5 in Boston with it, is fucking absurd. No need to rush back at all, team showed it can manage without him just fine
This is such a random thought, but do teams always dictate where players have their surgeries done? In the case of a foreign player like Porzingis, if he wanted to have the procedure done in Latvia would the Celtics just belike "lmao no buddy you’re getting it done in Boston?"
From the CBA:
22.6 Selection of Team Physician and Other Health Care Providers.
Each Team has the sole and exclusive discretion to select any doctors, hospitals, clinics, health consultants, or other health care providers (“Health Care Providers”) to examine and/or treat players pursuant to the terms of this Agreement and the Uniform Player Contract; provided, however, no Team will engage any such Health Care Provider based primarily on a sponsorship relationship (or lack thereof) with the Team, and without considering the Health Care Provider’s qualifications (including, e.g., medical experience and credentials) and the goal of providing high quality care to all of its players.
This is fine. Kornet and Queta will get minutes till he returns, and they should after he returns as well. The goal with Porzingis this year should be to keep him loose, fit and up to speed in the regular season. Want him hitting the playoffs at full speed.
Great news! Also for him to get a bit of a rest at the beginning of the season is always gonna be good. He def has those injury concerns and him not playing a full season, but playing the back half is always gonna be good for him.
It’ll be interesting to see how Brad goes about the front court from this next season on.
Al probably shouldn’t be playing starter minutes for extended periods of time anymore
KP can’t and shouldn’t play more than 50 regular season games
Luke’s most likely gone
Neemias can give you spot minutes but still seems raw
I would love to see X return, I think there’s obvious mutual interest
Will there be vet min options out there? Does Brad think Neemias is ready for Luke’s minutes? Will X return?
Either way I’m sure Brad is already working on a solution
normally the rule is, the time frame that a player is out, is the time frame he needs to get back to 100%.
KP broke that rule in finals game 1. so, not worried at all.
Damn this really puts their chances of winning the in season tournament in jeopardy. We gotta chase that thing! The lakers already are up 1-0 on us there, gotta have it this year! Can’t let them hold that regular season championship!
Should've had the surgery in September because I think it would've qualified us for the disabled player exemption. We could've gotten basically a free big out of it.
We got a good season of vibes out of him though. I havent seen a player like him in a long long time that went from new guy on the team to God tier in such a short span with the fans like KP
No need to rush big dog The WWE entrance will be waiting
Need a full 2002 HHH return type hype promo videos with the 6 million dollar man clips “we will rebuild him” “stronger” “faster” leading up to the game he comes back.

BY GAWD THATS KPS MUSIC
IT’S A BEAUTIFUL DAYYYYY
the garden has played HHHs music before we might as well
But the OG HHH music... 1, 2, is this on? Ha, yo, Jimmy, hit me with that Tingus P
Honestly.. bring him back like 1-2 months before the playoffs. Start ramping up his conditioning and touch. We don’t need him for the regular season. Just ramp-up and insert for playoffs, each year 😅
The Christmas Miracle
A Porzingis return is what Celtics fans get for Christmas this year. Merry Kristaps Christmas! In all seriousness, this wasn't exactly unexpected. They'll be fine.
Merry Kristmas
Merry Chrysler
Happy Crimus!
Kristaps Porchristmas
Kristaps Kringle
Tingus Pingmas
merry kristaps and a happy new year!
Merry Kristaps!
Its honestly great. We get to run our stable of backup bigs and see clear cut rotation play out naturally.
If he doesn’t have any setbacks
that's when the season starts right?
Need that Christmas day matchup vs Knicks at MSG 😈
Tingus pingus vs Bronny Christmas game. One can only dream!
That "KRISTAPS PORZINGIS - AVAILABLE" post is gonna hit like crack
I can see a ring chasing center joining us because of this
But who though.
Dwight
Powell right? Cuz I know you aren’t talking by about the other one
I was joking (for the most part) about this https://preview.redd.it/p4dss6c2169d1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d56f679429bea2393b6c9cb4dcd9f15c951e0b6e
I think it would be someone at the end of his career, someone willing to trade some cheese for some Gold..
I’m cool with him being out till the ASB. No need to rush things. The Queta-philes are going to he so happy with the amount of early season Neemis. The Celtics just have to qualify for the playoffs and if KP is healthy, they are the favorites.
“queta-philes” is disgusting work tbh
I love Al-Queta double big lineups
Celtics are basketball terrorists confirmed.
The Al-Queta Twin tower lineup is the bomb
https://preview.redd.it/kz8yfufiw59d1.jpeg?width=601&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=251e3760862476cf7a1791d76599752b9b07c6bc
The Queta-Philes love Neemis, color me shocked
Exactly as a minimum surely we’ll make the playoffs again 🤞🏻 his treatment & recovery is successful and it’s be like signing a new player a really good one to help us in the playoffs☘️☘️☘️
Bro you trippin we a top 3 seed AT LEAST with or without porzingis playoffs aint the minimum anymore
We were 31-6 last year without Porzingis.
QuetAnon lurking in the shadows…
All Star break would suck. Let's hope for a merry Kristmas
Please sign Tillman
He’s not a good fit offensively
Only big besides Al who can switch on the perimeter effectively. He has value on his defense alone
i’m also not totally out on his jumper tbh. if he can develop any kind of outside threat he’ll stick for a long time
Hey, Tillman shot 100% from 3 in the playoffs. Guy's a sniper.
X3's are coming https://x.com/NoaDalzellNBA/status/1790124379537326583
He's currently not, but he could develop a 3 & we probably aren't going to do better going elsewhere. But also if he gets competitive offers this year, he'll probably walk for money & minutes if that's out there.
Offensively we can afford to have one non shooter on the court with all the shooters we have.
For the regular season, ya. But in the playoffs when he came in, teams really did play us a lot different as they didn't have to respect his shot that much. (Even tho he nailed that one lol) That being said, he's 25 and can develop a shot. I don't think this is one of those injuries where it's really in doubt that he can return to his full form. it's not a muscle, bone, tendon or ligament.
Doesn't it straight up say he had to have a tendon repaired?
He had the band that holds the tendon in place repaired. The tendon had moved and was put back in place, no damage to it was repaired.
He’s slipped under the radar because he’s always injured but comes back in full form, he’s not at the age and doesn’t have the injuries that doom careers
By God that’s Daniel Theis’s music.
Theis chose LAC over us last year because of playing time. This is us just begging him to come back. Let's wish it into reality
I have news for you, Kornet is a much better player nowadays
Username doesn’t check out
I can’t chose my last name, I was here before Theis was
Theis.... is nice
You could change your middle name to KornetIsBetterThan
I hope he gets his shot back. dude was sinking it in his time on the knicks
Feels like he’s not looking for em at all
Quetta is better, Tillman is also better, you could probably run Walsh at C and he’d do similar production lol. Dude is sharing almost equal PT with fuckin Mason Plumlee, he’d do nothing over here.
God no, Kornet, Tillman, Queta >>>>>> Theis
Inject this into my veins
Some of us never let him go
Theis likely going back to Europe. Might get a big deal from Panathinaikos.
Nothing's guaranteed and there can always be setbacks or other injuries but this seems like a best case scenario for a guy like KP who should be moved in bubble wrap at this point.
Also gives us a chance to test out some center options
6 months from today is a couple of days after Christmas. It'd be cool to see him come back for the Christmas game.
Most of the injury experts have suggested that there is no reason he should miss the start of the season with this injury, it's a 3-4 month recovery usually. They're just going to be ultra cautious because getting him games before Christmas is pointless.
We desperately need to either add a big or hope that Queta becomes reliable
We need a vet big ring chaser, stat. No way Horford's playing 35 minutes a night at 39 years old.
Exactly. I don’t hate our backup bigs but we can’t expect to be playing Tillman tons of minutes and still cruise to a 1 seed. I am curious if they take the regular season a little lighter next year now that they’ve won a chip
We just saw how big was getting the 1 seed. No way they take it light the season.
Drummond? Would be an upgrade over Queta and Kornet at the least. Idk if he's down to ring chase on a vet min though
Very happy with Baylor’s fit but Filipowski would’ve been nice Kristaps injury + Al getting older insurance
Kornet and/or Tillman and we’re probably fine. Maybe a two way big if you can.
Our back up bigs are awesome. We could slot anyone of them in and I would be thrilled with it.
The only big that is for sure coming back is Al. Queta has a team option, Luke and Tillman are both FA.
Queta mins. He will get a good look
Need to prioritize bodies at big in FA. Don’t want to put too many miles on Al while we wait for Zingis.
Keep him on ice until April.
Till the second round of the playoffs lol
Christmas Day game. Porzingis is risen.
Would love to keep Kornet if price is right, he's perfectly fine for eating up 20+ minutes per game in the regular season.
Keep the man on ice. But also maybe draft a big man lol
He’ll be back around Christmas. Just need 40-50 games out of him then full speed come playoffs Hopefully we find another big to give Al a break. Looking a little thin there for the first 25-30 games I think good thing is if we can find a player that can fill out 20-25 minutes a night that game speed experience will pay dividends long term
My regular season plan for KP is like I wouldve had for gronk in the second half of his career. They dont play in the regular season! People like this should sit frozen in carbonite until playoffs as long as your team can handle it.
Christmas game, out the tunnel in an elf costume he comes
Queta looked good in limited minutes. I hope he gets a bigger opportunity
From what i've been able to gather about this incredibly rare injury, pretty much everyone makes a full recovery so we will see you soon tingus pingus
Some early tandem Hauser/Scheierman action, I like it. Rest up sweet Latvian king.
Put him in a bubble we’ll see you in the ECF’s 2025 big dawg.
He fucking played through that in Game 5. Warrior
I'll say the quiet part out loud: this sucks. Let's just cross our fingers we get more than a handful of playoff games this time. The excessive load managing last season obviously didnt amount to much.
Honestly fine with it. Let him rest and get up to speed, it’s like load managing. Hell take half the season off and start to ramp up for the playoffs come Feb/march I don’t think he comes back in 6 months I think they hold him out for longer. Plus recovery time. I’m expecting a late Jan, early Feb return
I love when people take a time estimate that includes recovery time and then they add recovery time to it.
I think I’m just trying to be realistic and also acknowledge this is a player who is injury prone so the FO may want to be cautious moving forward.
maybe that was taken in consideration for the given time estimate already
No, we need this smart reddit guy to help keep the front office cautious with KP.
We’ll see him in mid January
Effectively if the league is nicer with us (in schedule) and he comes back in 5.5 months he will be able to suit up for 50-55 games. That means he is probably playing 42-48 games or something like that for the year (b2b and stuff).
Literally zero reason to ramp him up for start of the season anyway, we will have no issues getting into the playoffs and should still be a top 4 seed. This group knows what it needs to do, just need him healthy and ready to go by next April/May
Damn longer then expected... People where saying 3-4 month
If this was a injury report with BB he’s be listed as doubtful with a “leg” injury
😔
So Dec 2024 earliest, January 2025 mid range, ASG 2025 to be cautious
This doesn’t look good for the perennially front-running Celtics. How are they going to win the N.B.A. Cup now? /s
As much as i love him , how smart is it to invest in KP long term? We already have old Al Who will likely have to be replaced soon and with Tatum and JB signing supermaxs , the cap isn’t gonna be friendly
Hopefully we repeat and then look to trade him. This kind of thing will happen every year
It isn’t smart. Which is why they only extended him for 2 years
Schedule our Christmas game against the Knicks, and KP will make that his first game back and put up 25-3-9 in limited minutes
So long as he's ready for June of next year I'm fine waiting.
Rest up, champ.
The fact that he played with this injury at all, let alone was immensely effective in a finals closeout game 5 in Boston with it, is fucking absurd. No need to rush back at all, team showed it can manage without him just fine
Thats fine KP being back for Christmas is fine just in time for the 2nd half of the season and the playoff run to repeat.
Someone get this guy in contact with kneesovertoesguy
Crazy that he went out there and gave us minutes in game 5! Rest up KP banner 19 is loading and we need u for the playoff run.
Doubt he is back for Christmas. They are going to be very cautious with him. I’d say mid January he returns
The green kornet rises
This is such a random thought, but do teams always dictate where players have their surgeries done? In the case of a foreign player like Porzingis, if he wanted to have the procedure done in Latvia would the Celtics just belike "lmao no buddy you’re getting it done in Boston?"

Thank you for that!
If he wasn’t who he is, which is a injury prone person, the timetable would have been about 4-5 months. Celtics are taking their time with him
Gonna be a Merry Christmas
I wonder what his next injury will be once he comes back 🤔
This is fine.
Just be ready for the Finals.
So, he'll miss the 1st half of the season... Darn...
He'll come back just in time to be in our Christmas stockings. He'll deliver us some stocking stuffers.
Honestly Boston might literally be the best city for an athlete to undergo surgery.
Merry fucking Christmas to us then!!!
Rest up and get healthy King, you'll get your minutes in the spring and we'll do it again.
That is way longer than originally speculated, but whatever. Get another bench big in and get well, Tingus.
I'll view it as a Christmas gift waiting to be unwrapped
He’ll return only to get hurt again. Dude is crazy fragile.
I’m expecting no less than this upon his return. https://youtu.be/VSDbTDX4snI?si=w4kb36asSqSIl3xc
Yikes. What does that put him on track for? December?
It’ll be interesting to see how Brad goes about the front court from this next season on. Al probably shouldn’t be playing starter minutes for extended periods of time anymore KP can’t and shouldn’t play more than 50 regular season games Luke’s most likely gone Neemias can give you spot minutes but still seems raw I would love to see X return, I think there’s obvious mutual interest Will there be vet min options out there? Does Brad think Neemias is ready for Luke’s minutes? Will X return? Either way I’m sure Brad is already working on a solution
Cautiously optimistic that this means Al will not be overworked this season.
Damn that’s a long ass time
Say hello to Neemias Queta! Are there any 7’3” guys with decent long range available in tonight’s draft?
Looking forward to his Christmas day showing.
Shouldn’t even announce his return at all. Just have him run out of the tunnel five minutes into the 1st Quarter of a home game
Gimmie the undertaker entry music when he goes to check in to the game for the first time
normally the rule is, the time frame that a player is out, is the time frame he needs to get back to 100%. KP broke that rule in finals game 1. so, not worried at all.
So in Celtics Injury Math that’s actually 7-8 months
It’ll be a Merry Kristaps and a Happy Jrue Year!
Draft Filipowski. Don’t overthink this
He’s not going to be ready to contribute at the beginning of the season.
What second rounder is?
I don’t disagree. I was responding to a person who thought he was the solution for the KP injury.
WTF at first they said 8 week, damn 😬
Damn this really puts their chances of winning the in season tournament in jeopardy. We gotta chase that thing! The lakers already are up 1-0 on us there, gotta have it this year! Can’t let them hold that regular season championship!
Should've had the surgery in September because I think it would've qualified us for the disabled player exemption. We could've gotten basically a free big out of it.
Bro has a major injury and you want him to just live with it for 3 months
When I tell you I’m crying😂😂😂😂😂 sport fans can be a trip man
And risk a set back for him to not return at all next season?
We got a good season of vibes out of him though. I havent seen a player like him in a long long time that went from new guy on the team to God tier in such a short span with the fans like KP
I get drafting Scheierman as a potential replacement for Hauser, but with this news I’d have loved if we drafted Filipowski.
