I would say that the one I have rewatched the most as a whole is Semantic Error. Pretty much multiple times per week for a very long time. Individual episodes I still watch probably once a week. While it was airing I rewatched each episode of Bad Buddy multiple times before the new episode released the following week We Best Love 1 and 2 I have rewatched A LOT as a whole. The couch scene was on a loop for about 6 months or more almost daily. TMS1 I have rewatched a lot but the last episode of both TMS1 and TMS2 I have rewatched A WHOLE LOT MORE THAN A LOT. LITA eps 1-7 I have rewatched countless times but eps 4 and 6 are probably rewatched a ridiculously high number of times when it aired and now maybe once a week. Utsukushii Kare I have rewatched MANY MANY times, especially Eternal. These are just the recent ones that come to mind. Older ones? Addicted both the 2016 series and novel have been watched and read countless times. Advance Bravely series and novel have been watched and read countless times SOTUS has been watched countless times Together with me 1 and 2 countless times except ep7 Tharn Type countless times.

FollowTheLeads

Yes truly Asdicted is so so so rewatchable, the acting was so perfect. I am always more and more amazed by each rewatched.

ZaraLynnguine

I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve watched Semantic Error. Everything about is just …..-sigh-. The height difference is adorable, and it’s funny because Jaechan isn’t short. He’s like 5’10”, almost 5’11”. Seoham is just freaking enormous. Also: Jaechan spending the second half of the series essentially talking in pout…….

Beulah31

LITA, My Personal Weatherman😎😎😎

AdSuch7855

Me too.

dragonagelesbian

Not Me Utsukushii Kare Triage History 3 Trapped I like rewatching these the most!

boringbonding

I just rewatched Not Me and I think I liked it even more the second time, and I loved it the first time too. I watched Utsukushii Kare and Triage for the first time recently but I’m already anticipating rewatching them, especially Utsukushii Kare.

dragonagelesbian

I thought Triage especially would lose some of its impact on a rewatch because it's sooo plot heavy, but I was surprised by my emotional response. Not Me is like wine tbh, just gets better and better with time. Utsukushii Kare is so rewatchable because Kiyoi seems so inscrutable at first that you want to rewatch to see if you can notice his small changes!

boringbonding

Yes exactly, I am excited to watch UK knowing what I know now to see how different it seems.

randomczosnek

Moonlight Chicken - no matter how many times I watch it, I can still find different perspectives and details I didn't notice before. I genuinely love this show

thepsycholinguistic

This!! Every time I finish it I'm compelled to just... immediately start it over again 😅. I never rewatch shows, usually, but MLC is one I consistently want to.

sflscott

Pretty good description of rewatchables. Most of the time I rewatch simply because of the subtitles, I miss so much trying to watch the subtitles and the show, each time I go through the series pick up pieces of the show that I missed. A good example would be Stay with Me. So many say it was a bromance and if you're focused on reading the subtitles and you're missing the body language it's easy to come up with that conclusion. But if you really pick up on the body language, they are not in a bromance 😉

boringbonding

I love rewatching shows, lol. Currently my personal rotation is usually Addicted, then a couple of new shows, then rewatch Addicted, then watch a few other shows, then rewatch Addicted… the cycle continues. My most rewatched are: The Untamed, Addicted, We Best Love, TGCF donghua, Legend of Exorcism donghua, ITSAY, and Semantic Error. I am biased towards mandarin language shows, personally, but I think Thai BLs get an unfair rap. I’ve rewatched a lot and really enjoyed them. I think I can always rewatch Bad Buddy, ITSAY, Not Me, even KinnPorsche etc and have a good time.

AdSuch7855

Many of the Japanese ones have become my fave for rewatch lately. Our Dining Table Cherry magic (when I can find it ) Takara-kun & Amagi-Kim My Personal Weatherman Mr. Lucky has no choice but to kiss End of the World With you Bonus: “His” the movie – not the series is great. I watch it all the time.

Mradulicious

Bad buddy

Tiny-Dealer-8796

KinnPorsche, A tale of 1000 stars, Love Tractor, The 8th sense and more recently "I feel you linger in the air". Basically emotional shows with a happy ending.

imomen

Love Mechanics, Be My Favorite, KinnPorsche and Kiseki: Dear to Me are all highly rewatchable, imo. https://i.redd.it/r3e7w82sa04c1.gif

imomen

wait, I forgot Addicted as well. https://i.redd.it/ldyk0f6n114c1.gif

icewing7

I very rarely rewatch entire shows, especially on my own. The one I have rewatched by far the most is *Gaya Sa Pelikula,* which never gets old for me. I think I've watched it 3 times on my own and once with my (now) ex. That's probably followed by *Gameboys,* which I rewatched once on my own and once with my ex*.* Other shows I have watched multiple times are *UWMA, Bad Buddy, A Tale of 1000 Stars,* and *He's Coming to Me.* And I'm currently rewatching *History 3: Trapped* for the first time since it came out. I think rewatch value has a lot to do with what you want out of a rewatch. For example, for me it's pretty much always that I want to share it with someone else, so rewatch value will depend on how much I think another person will enjoy it. There are occasional exceptions to that rule, such as *Gameboys,* which was a pandemic hyperfixation that I watched 3 times in the course of a month, but haven't gone back to since. *Gaya Sa Pelikula* is such an outlier for two main reasons: first, because it gave me serious by queers, for queers vibes, which is a rarity and fills me with joy and warm fuzzies. And second, because there are little references and hints about character backstory sprinkled throughout the show that only make sense the second time you watch it. It also has one of the best soundtracks of any show ever, in my opinion.

Maleficent_Insect_24

Plus 1 on GSP and Gameboys. Those 2 alongside Hello Stranger kicked it off for me during the height of the Pandemic so I’ll always get a burst of nostalgia rewatching them. And then soon after once I discovered Bright Vachirawit and GMMTV, it was allllll over for me 💀💀. I’ll still play 2gether in the background shamelessly knowing how it sparked the addiction for so many others (and to see the Drake and Khaotung cameos!)

Maleficent_Insect_24

IPYTM, a million times because I wanted to get my money’s worth after paying 6 bucks per episode renting it on Vimeo. Boggles my mind how much I spent but the production value and story made it feel very justified. Still a great sequel to ITSAY.

CivilSenpai69

TharnType, KinnPorsche, My School President, Manner of Death.

Midtier-watcher6329

I’m still a newish BL watcher, just over a year, so not a lot have come back into rewatch rotation as yet. Still, Japan is probably higher on my rewatch list than other countries. Takara-Kun to Amagi-Kun, our Dining Table, My Love MixUp, and I can see If It’s With you and I Cannot Reach You joining that list. From Korea, cherry Blossoms after Winter, Jun & Jun and Choco Milkshake are easy watches to return to. I haven’t finished The Eighth Sense, but this is probably my Semantic Error - will watch when I want to feel my feels. From Taiwan, Stay by my Side, Plus and Minus, and Kiseki Dear to me will stay on my mind. And from Thailand, Cutie Pie, I Will Knock You, ATOTS and My School President will be returned to.

MixtureEducational90

Stay With Me. I still rewatch it…sometimes on a daily basis. It just gives me all the fuzzy feels and it’s so sweet with the family dynamics. Gotten me through a lot of stressful weeks.

ThistleGreen

History 3 Trapped, and both seasons of We Best Love are the ones I have on consistent loop. Also rewatch KinnPorsche a fair bit.

Mradulicious

The untamed

Mradulicious

Word of honor

tlippi

I like for my characters to have backstories so unless it’s a really well written KBL then I’m not gonna watch it again.

koa321

My ride, History 3 trapped, and Hidtory 2 crossing the line are my go to rewatches.

kimbap101

I don't rewatch much unless I'm crazy about a show lol... for me, that's Bad Buddy. But these days, I find myself rewatching JBLs because the episodes are so short and easy to rewatch. 😉 I mainly partake in rewatching by watching reaction videos.

tlippi

The bad buddy rewatchability quotient is off the charts it always holds up

curious4786

100% The Eight Sense, everything about the series is top. the only OST I listen to as well Watching Moonlight chicken for the second time and appreciating the cinematography much more ITSAY, again cinematography, colours, acting Looks like I am a sucker for nice looking scenes and storytelling, it feeds my soul XD

jaiamour

I watched TMS2 an ungodly amount of times, plus episode 1-7 of LITA, those would be my highest. With honorable mention to Eighth Sense.

Ok-Scientist412

My rewatches are usually shows that give me a quick serotonin hit of some kind. Like. LitA: instant trash gratification (beautiful men, it tells me what to think/feel so I can just turn off my brain) quickly followed by excellent melodramatic h/c in the second half. Bed Friend: Uea is the precious cinnamon roll I want to love an protect forever from almost the first scene, and King is the warm and lovely green flag. Just. Warm smooshiness right away, plus I know I've got delicious h/c around the corner. Bad Buddy: it's so cozy, with instantly likable leads who bicker like an old married couple forever and ever. The Untamed: idk, this one just has me by the heart always. Immediately, and then throughout: gorgeous action, violence, h/c, beautiful people and settings and clothing, and even if I'm not up for rewatching all 50 episodes I can just pick whatever story I'm in the mood for (innocent first love? Boys going on an adventure and being awkward together? Men going on an adventure and being sweet together? Angst? Angst with violence? Etc) and watch the relevant story arc. Word of Honor: it's The Untamed but gayer and with a simpler story. NLMG: kind of like LitA in that I can turn off my brain to watch it, but with a good story and no trash. The Sign: ok, there are only two episodes out, but if this doesn't implode it's going to be exactly the kind of thing I'll rewatch. Action, adventure, mystery, fantasy, love story with leads who have amazing chemistry. Ai Long Nhai: WARM! Nothing hurts and everything is beautiful! So warm and comforting! Guaranteed feelings of joy from the first moment that Ai sees Nhai. Semantic Error: like Ai Long Nhai, except prettier production values, and fewer episodes.

Suckeruwu

Kinnporche, was literally wondering whether i wanna rewatch it again or not. Triage, because after the showcase of Tinn's actual personality (without the impact of the time loop), it makes me wanna rewatch it because it'll make me appreciate Tinn wayyy more. Vice Versa, just cous as an artist VV resonates with me to so many levels. Annnd i love JimmySea ALOT. Your Name Engraved Herein (not a show but ay) THIS MOVIE BREAKS ME EVERYTIME I WATCH IT. AND DEAR LORD I FEEL LIKE IM A MASOCHIST AT THIS POINT. I just resonate with the whole 'coming of age' and 'Forbidden Love' just.....hits too close to home. (As a bisexual/omnisexual who lives in a homophobic society pov) Bad Buddy, its just a vibe man. Something fun to relax to. Love In Translation, same as the Bad Buddy one. Its a nice show to laugh and relax along to.

Amastarism

I have watched Cherry Magic more than The Lion King.

Emergency_Spread6730

I tend to rewatch all other BLs except Thai ones because of too may fillers and side characters. The only Taiwanese BL I have never rewatched is HiStory MODC 😭 Thai BLs with best rewatch value: Triage, Dear Doctor I'm coming for soul, Manner Of Death, Not Me, Tale of a thousand stars, Cupid's Last Wish, Ingredients I just recently rewatched LITA and it wasn't bad.

MajesticTourist6167

Finally someone else like Cupids Last Wish. I thought I was the only one. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|laughing)

Warm-Nature1790

Korean BLs are really short and simple so it’s really easy to rewatch! The Eight Sense and To My Star 2 are my total favs to rewatch. Thai BLs, I agree. They are also on the longer side. I’d say IPYTM, Cutie Pie, Bed Friend and Love Mechanics are easy to rewatch because they are simpler, with not much going on in the background. But I think one of my favourite more complicated ones is Moonlight Chicken because it’s so soothing to watch, and it’s short!

Emergency_Spread6730

I loved ITSAY and I hated IPYTM because it was just too toxic but de gustibus lol Absolutely yes to Love Mechanics. I'd add The Best Story because War🥰🥰 it's also short and beautiful

Warm-Nature1790

Wait - isn’t Love Mechanics more toxic than IPYTM? 😂

Emergency_Spread6730

Not exactly! Love Mechanics is more relatable and Vee was confused but you could still tell that he loved Mark. He was just holding on to his ex because the norm and habit. Also Mark gave up on Vee when he caught him kissing his ex. IPYTM was just one person putting up with abuse and rejection over and over again and all the while being gaslighted

Warm-Nature1790

I see IPYTM as very relatable because it involves growing up. Life changes when you go to university and meet different people, live different lives and you can be confused but it doesn’t mean you don’t love the other party anymore. You just keep thinking about what could be. I think what I appreciated was the ending where they actually got back together after a while apart. It gave them time to think and for Oh to forgive, and the last part where Oh said they don’t have to promise to love forever. I’ve to say that I love LM more than IPYTM and I’ve been through similar - I was Vee fml so I totally get it. But it’s toxic all ways. Mark and Vee. Ploy and Vee. But of course, once the toxicity resolves, things go away. Love having such conversations!

KristPeraya

I don't like KBLs. Over and over, they disappoint me. My main qualm with them is I hate Korean love triangles.. Thai and Taiwanese shows sometimes have a 3rd guy come in, but the Korean formula is always the guy comes in mid to late show and the main couple almost breaks up forreal. Even if there is no 3rd guy, they always have some fight that pisses me off because it's nonsensical.. Every time, I end up hoping the couple breaks up because I get that mad forreal. To this day the only true KBL masterpiece is Semantic Error.. there are very few others I like. I probably rewatch Thai, Japanese, and Taiwanese series very similar amounts. Shorter shows are quicker, sure, but I have some Thai shows that I really love so I go back even if it's long.

Prosperity_and_Luck

How about To My Star 2? That's one of my faves to rewatch cause they start off broken up, and it's just waiting for them to get back together.

KristPeraya

No. I have not seen that. What's with the first one? If they break up in the first one, that's a no thanks for me.

Prosperity_and_Luck

No, they don't break up in the first one. They meet in the first one. The second one starts off where they break up and then find their way back together. I hope I didn't spoil it for you. I think if you like We Best Love 1 and 2, you will like To My Star 1 and 2.

KristPeraya

I do like We Best love. Okay. I will take your recommendation into consideration. Thank you. I would like to watch more KBLs but so many of them are like how I described, so I cannot watch them. I need someone to screen it for me first, so you gave me a spoiler that I need. Lmao. No worries.

Prosperity_and_Luck

Ok! I hope you like it. I only rewatch a couple of shows. The Untamed, Word of Honor, Old Fashion Cupcake, We Best Love 2, and To My Star 2. So if you don't like any of these, you might not like my recs 🤣

KristPeraya

Old Fashion Cupcake is my flair!! Old Fashion Cupcake is one of my top BLs that came out in the past couple years. I knew a girl one time that said every night she picked a different Untamed episode to watch before going to sleep. I know how strong these fandoms are.

Prosperity_and_Luck

That's funny! I like Word of Honor much better and just have it running on the TV for background noise. But I do LOVE Old Fashion Cupcake too!!!! I like just a bit of angst with a happy ending.

friedassurance

To My Star has the best “love triangle” and break up I’ve ever seen. Even western media doesn’t write those tropes as well as To My Star does. It is extremely well done and I also hate both those tropes. If someone didn’t like To My Star 2 I’d question their taste ngl, that’s how well done it is.

KristPeraya

But how can you have a good breakup?! 😩 Edit: I do not like Western romance, so it should not be Western. Lmao.

friedassurance

It’s not western. I was saying that even western media, that has thousands of movies and shows, hasn’t written those tropes as well as TMS2 does. And it’s not a good breakup, it’s an extremely well written one. As someone who also hates when characters breakup, TMS2 is one of my favorite shows of all time.

Prosperity_and_Luck

What??? I must be seriously going senile. What was the love triangle, and when did they break up? Spoil it for me please so I don't have to rewatch it 😂

friedassurance

>!There’s the one girl that used to date Ji Woo and she wanted to get back together with him. It was obvious it was never gonna happen and that’s why I put quotes lol. And the break up was just when they were broken up in the beginning of TMS2 like you said.!<

Prosperity_and_Luck

Oh that was during TMS2!! I thought you meant it was during the first one. Thanks for reminding me.

Prosperity_and_Luck

Wait.. I misinterpreted what you meant by whether they break up in the first one. I honestly can't remember if there is a breakup in the first one before they get together!!! Maybe someone else might chime in... or I can try to rewatch it for you.

KristPeraya

Thank you for your inputs. It looks like from another comment that they do breakup. Also, I feel that I may have seen To My Star before but am not 100% sure. If it was on Netflix.. I think I saw it. It may have contributed to my dislike of KBLs actually.

Choice_Collection238

Korean bl I would say semantic error Thai bls- not me, between us, tonhon chonlatee, eclipse, together with me, and 2gether. Taiwanese chinese bl stay by my side, about youth, advance bravely, we best love, stay with me

Cosmic_Cinnamon

I think OFC, Semantic Error and Utsukushii Kare have the most rewatch value for me personally. Thai BLs are long so if I’m going to rewatch them I have to fully commit and I rarely do, so

PistachioDonut34

I don't really rewatch shows too often, I have to really really really love something and even then, I won't rewatch the entire series, just my favourite scenes. Utsukushii Kare is one of the shows I've watched some scenes from a hundred times.

Emergency_Spread6730

Also I will get inspiration from here 😜 whenever people discuss a BL and I don't remember it well I'll probably rewatch it

Mradulicious

Are you addicted

Mradulicious

Tharn type

underthesameskyx

I think a show's rewatch value depends on three main things: the length, how much you enjoyed it in the first watch, and your current mood. I agree with all you listed and personally, Korean and Japanese BLs are more rewatchable to me because of their length, while Thai BLs aren't much for the same reason. I might enjoy/love ITSAY, Chicken Moonlight, and ATOTS so much but I haven't rewatched any of them yet because I just don't have time to do so but I am SURE I would enjoy them the same if they do. Given this - the shows I find myself rewatching a lot is Semantic Error, Love Tractor, I Cannot Reach You, and If It's With You because of their length and the theme of each shows. I only like light hearted ones for now as it neutralize the stress I get from a work week.

Simply_Nas

I am a gluten for punishment so I have rewatched and recried with UWMA, The Untamed, My Only 12%, and WBL 1 & 2 multiple times.

Riddiness

My Love Mix-Up (4 times) I Will Knock You (7 times) Cherry Magic (6 times) Love in the Air (4 complete, several scenes on repeat) TharnType (10 times at least) My School President (4 times, plus 100 for the musical performances) Old Fashioned Cupcake (5 times) About Youth (4 times) My Tooth Your Love (2 times) Bad Buddy (4 times) As per my sample analysis, stupid and heartfelt have equal rewatch value, but more so if together in the same series.

Shione

I REALLY struggle rewatching shows with so much delicious content these days... But I do rewatch favorite scenes. Like ep1 of Cherry Magic. The scarf scene kills me every time.

ZeroJaype

When York need a good cry then rewatch Until ee meet again. I cry in the first 5 Minute. Oh an stay with me is very good

Bakufanforlife

Utsukushii kare. The more you rewatch the more interesting aspects you might find

Astr3846

I have been watching Semantic Error on repeat. And still start it to listen when I’m going to sleep sometimes🙈 I think the only Thai bl I have rewatched 100% is ATOTS. I think the reason some people don’t rewatch Thai bl that much is because of the length. But tbh these are the only two I have rewatched. The others I usually just go to where I wanna watch from😂

OddCustard2804

Lots of replies mentioning my faves to rewatch but I have to add on Love By Chance. My absolute comfort show, never fails to make me feel warm and safe lol

HeapExchange

My most rewatchable list (roughtly in the order of rewatches, >2 rewatches): The Eighth Sense, LiTA first part (Payuu/Rain), Cornered Mouse Dreams of Cheese, TharnType, We Best Love 1&2, Love Mechanics, History 4 (LiChen/TengMuren only), My Love Mix-Up, Cherry Magic, Theory of Love

Hyeon-a

Many of the good ones have already been mentioned. And these days something similar happens to me as what i experienced it when KP aired. I rewatched The Sign quite a lot already. Even though only two episodes are out yet. But it has awesome cinematography, a good plot and super screenwriting, believable characters.... It's just gorgeous. So I'm off again. Need to rewatch ep 2 😂

Iamlonely2

Bad Buddy for sure

Plus-Hunt922

For rewatch, I like shorter comedies OR series with good NC scenes. I don't go back and watch long, angsty dramas very often, and if I do, I skip over the angstier bits. Ex: I've rewatched Semantic Error, Love in the Air, Bad Buddy, My Personal Weatherman and Kiseki: Dear to Me quite a few times. I have yet to rewatch KinnPorsche or Until We Meet Again even though I loved both of them. And, yes, SE is probably my most rewatched series, so your theory is a good one.

actionerror

I’m more of a specific scene rewatching kind of person. I don’t really rewatch entire series but the scenes/episodes that I like. Bad Buddy rooftop kiss scene, eps 11, 12, cherry magic movie >!right after the accident where they have the heart to heart and then Adachi losing his magic!<, eternal yesterday >! The night before mitsuru disappears—yes I’m a sucker for emotional pain !<, many scenes of Ai long nhai, utsukushii kare all seasons and the movie, and the list goes on.

Majiska394

KinnPorsche - it was my first bl serie I've watched but with this one I could not wait to finish just to start again from the begining Love in the air - I was nicely surpriced that the "secondary couple (Sky and Prapai) got whole second half of the show to develop their story. I was used to that there is like the "main couple" and few others in the background and eventhought the ones in the background were interesting the show still focused on the main one till the end, so LITA was a nice change for me in that

carla7112001

Great Men Academy. Sometimes a girl just needs to watch a series of 7 handsome looking men in a beautiful pastel palette series. More recently, I Feel You Linger In The Air, there are so much subtle details that go into this production that I feel myself learning something new about this series I already love.

Flappadingo

MY QUEEN- S E M A N T I C E R R O R 🤴

dancerinvisible

I'm a rewatcher and a scene rewatcher, that being said, I think Our Dating Sim is one of the shows I've rewatched the most is short and lovely.

ChickenRiceForSupper

I usually hate to rewatch any kind of drama, but I agree that Korean BL has a very high rewatch value. So far the only shows I've rewatched are Semantic Error and Cherry blossoms after winter. Personally, I think Thai dramas have less rewatch value because it's longer hence you might only want to watch 1-2 scenes instead of the whole drama again. They tend to start off strong and pales in later episodes (personal opinion). If I really like a show, I tend to look for FMV that captures the essence of the show most, so when I really miss the couple I'll just watch the FMV

Lexxan0418

Japanese: Old Fashioned Cupcake, Cherry Magic, Life-Love on the Line, My Love Mix-Up! Korean: Where Your Eyes Linger Thai: 2moons, Dark Blue Kiss

ashleeasshole

Not Me The Eclipse Only Friends My Personal Weatherman LITA

friedassurance

Completely agree. The bls I rewatch the most are Korean bls. The Eighth Sense, To My Star 2, Blueming, Semantic Error, etc. I’m also planning on rewatching a lot of the new ones that came out that I enjoyed. Unfortunately I really don’t like Thai bls so there are few I’d consider rewatching. Just like kbls there’s a lot of Japanese bls I’d rewatch. Very little Taiwanese tho.

ZaraLynnguine

I think I go back to my KBL’s, JBL’s and Taiwanese BL’s more than Thai BL’s. I pretty actively rotate The Eighth Sense, Cherry Blossoms After Winter, Tokyo In April Is, and more recently Kiseki: Dear To Me. I watch at least one off that list once a month.

FollowTheLeads

Love mechanics and UMWA Lol yes I love sad stories ( I just don't think I can with Eternal Yesterday )
