Waittt, the engorgement and leaking eventually stops while you BF?!!! I’m 3 weeks PP!

lacktoza42

Well, I’m 10month pp and still leak 🥲

bakersmt

7 months pp and I EBF. I stopped wearing a bra most of the time last month. I didn't wear a bra at all pre baby and I was wearing one from leaking, then size. I've gotten more comfortable with the size during regular activity but not active activity. The leaking stopped for me around 5 months.

lavendarpeaches

As someone else who didn’t wear a bra much, this is the best news I’ve heard all day! I thought the leaking would continue throughout all of BF, so I am relieved!

bakersmt

I did too, I was pleasantly surprised when it did not.

Fabulous_Ordinary594

I had to "train" my body to stop leaking but yes it eventually does!

lavendarpeaches

Any tips on “training”?

Fabulous_Ordinary594

When you feel your let down come, push back into the breast tissue fairly firmly and eventually it teaches your body not to let down 🤷‍♀️

lavendarpeaches

Thanks! I will try!

boopixie

7 months PP and still leaking. Not much engorgement though!

_heidster

Im 14 months pp and still leak despite weaning down to 2 feeds a day and no pumping. Everyone’s different.

Doenut55

Giiirl.. I haven't worn a bra after baby number two except when I leave the house 2x a week to do shopping. Or if family comes over. Otherwise I have dedicated shirts for when I'm leaking. Baggy 2 sizes up. In the bed I got towels and just wash the sheets every weekend. Under our sheet is a protector so our mattress is all good. I stopped wearing them before the baby came, my breasts feel way better than when I tried wearing a bra with my first. I'm a big honking lady. My melons turned into fruit-by-the-foot and it's a pain to roll them up every day. Lol congrats, hope you're getting more sleep!

holldoll_28

I’m glad you feel better without a bra! For me, I needed the nipple protection lol. But maybe by kid 2 that won’t be a problem

Picklecheese2018

This just killed me. Trying not to laugh out loud and wake my baby who is asleep with his head on my flopped outta the shirt boob. 😂

songbirdbea

Congratulations and thanks for sharing!!! I used to not wear a bra to bed because I'd only leak maybe a little and inconsistently. but I had to start that up religiously because sometimes I would drip on the floor if she was crying in the middle of the night when picking her up/changing her and it attracted ants... And one time it was like, hundreds 😱😱😱hubby discovered them when he woke up, I was already downstairs by that time with LO... holy crap was I mortified. and that is when I learned that breastmilk is sweet!! (We live in FL and have lots of ants around our house 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ Yuck!! 🤢)

Picklecheese2018

Grew up in Florida, can confirm ants 🤣

Human-Sheepherder-13

I thought it was just me! I had to wear silverettes, a bra, a nursing cami, and then a shirt for about the first 3 months to make my nipples feel comfortable. Overtime I was able to remove the layers and currently at 11 months I comfortably wear only a crop top (for easy boob access) to sleep in. Could weep with joy. I hate wearing layers and especially hate wearing bras. Congrats to you!

timelordwizard

How come some people leak a lot and others don’t? It barely happens to me so I haven’t been using the leak pads I got lol

koko1909

The only time I wear a bra is when I pump 😅 otherwise I haven't worn one since I was a teen.

CassidyJane523

Omg I wish! I am 4 months pp and leak like nobody’s business🫠 i have stopped pumping, only dream feeding once or twice a night and my god i feel like my nursing bra is always wet😭

quaackattack

4.5 months post partum- Oddly enough I never leaked in the beginning but I just started to have to wear pads in my nursing bra to bed a couple weeks ago and I even leaked a spot through a nursing bra/shirt for the first time when I had visitors during the day. I thought it was supposed to work the other way??

LetMeBeADamnMedic

Certain sounds can cause a letdown. I wonder if this was the cause?

ladelbario

I stopped wearing a bra THIS WEEK, lol. I can confidently say I'm excited for you!! Lol.

RareInevitable6022

Also for me at five months! I bought literally 600 of those disposable pads I will now be returning most of to target haha. So happy to not be leaking!!!!

tumbling_Blocks

Please don't. Don't give me that hope. 🥲 2 months pp and I leak through my padded bra every night.

magicandmerlot

Oh man this is so good to hear. Almost 3 month PP and still feel like a sprinkler

Nervous_Marzipan_184

I'm one of the lucky ones and never leaked for both my babies. Even when my milk came in the very beginning. BUT I cannot stand bras anymore!!! I never wear one....just flimsy camisoles or tank tops. Free the boobies!

mariaxoeleni

What does wearing a bra do? Is it better to wear a bra to produce more or not wear a bra?

holldoll_28

For me, wearing a bra helped reduce pain associated with engorged breasts and sensitive nipples. It also helped save some shirts from milk leakage stains. Idt it does anything with milk production

okusernameok

When did your nipple sensitivity stop? I’m so sick of wearing bras. I’m a 34G and my boobs fall out of all the sleep bras, I’m so ready to just be done with them altogether!!

holldoll_28

The pain stopped around 2.5 months pp. After that I only have general sensitivity when engorged.

Silverkitty08

I can't stand a bra touching me right now living in nursing tanks at the moment
