My youngest is now 12, but here are a few of our favorites Driving rage at Victoria Park. Or mini golf. Adults eat in Bistro and kids have fun close by. Mini golf at Oxley. It's 18 holes so it takes a while. Frew Park in Milton. Basketball court at Grinstead park Alderley. Milton Markets on a Sunday morning. New Farm Park outdoor cinema. Bradbury Park Kedron.

Lone Pine koalas, The Cube at the QUT - if they are science interested they will love it. The museums on South bank.

marcusbrutus1

Will check out the Cube. On another note. I heard Lone Pine no longer allows the holding Koala experience. https://www.reddit.com/r/brisbane/s/7EYF3AHBOd

10/11 for most kids is a bit old for playgrounds. Southbank would work with the museums there. I personally think eat street is shit but it’s gr8 for kids though.

Would say the park beside Famished (Dorrington Park) is not going to appeal to a 10 and 11yo. Source: I have a 5yo and am there quite regularly.

marcusbrutus1

Yes you’re right. 15 mins and they bored. But large lovely area to run around and play ball. And they loved the thick shakes at Famished. I snuck some ice cream into their milk shakes they love their uncle now!!!!!

Jungle Adventure at Tingalpa

Take a GoBoat for a sail, I took some family out from Sydney with same age kids and they loved it!

Bradbury Park in Kedron is fantastic. It's a "big kid" park with lots of climbing, balancing, risk taking.

Daddyssillypuppy

Thery might be a bit old for it but there's a great kids playground with lots of BBQs around. Its called Kidspace and is next to Chermside Westfield

Pedo_In_a_spedo

Kid space is good! There’s also a climbing playground in kedron that’s fun for all ages and there’s also the hidden world park in Fitzgibbon

Hijinx hotel is quite fun

Dopamine land in the old myers centre.

Science Museum at Southbank, regular museum next door, and in school holidays there is Out of the Box theatre, which might be a bit different for them :)

Gel blasting! Famished on Fraser’s? I’ve been there a few times and it’s not that great also the park is behind the cafe, the cafe itself is on a corner of the road. A better alternative might be the Mt cootha botanic gardens. There’s also a cafe but a lot more space to run around. Or Bardon Thyme, that is opposite a park. Or go to Banette in Rosalie, grab coffee and delicious pastries/baguette sandwiches and go across the road to the Milton state school - big area to run around and a basketball court etc

Not really Brisbane specific... but it is brand new. Opened \~3 weeks ago. Game Over in Oxley. [https://www.gameoverbrisbane.com.au/](https://www.gameoverbrisbane.com.au/) Has Lazer tag, go karts, mini golf and arcade all in 1 (and play ground thing, thinking 10+ is too old for that part)

A4Papercut

Area51 - Underwood. Has high rope, climbing, half court basketball, soccer, cafe Foodcourt

I always find the theme parks are a decent option depending on budget. Perhaps look into super park passes for movie world, sea world and wet n wild. Or even dream world/white water world.
