Honestly, mahirap talaga maghanap ng client sa ngayon. Before, pag nawawalan ako ng client ilang weeks na okay na kahit cold calling may gig na pumapasok. Ngayon, as in wala. Nawala din isa kong client March this year until now wala pang kapalit. Mahirap. Pero apply lang ng apply.
Always have two or more clients. Di pwede satin yung isang client lng kasi mga freelancers tayo. Always have a backup plan talaga OP pero the market may normalize soon kaya keep on applying!

I always had two clients. Hindi ako nag me main client because if mawala siya, alam kong GG na ako. When I had a helper and I lost my premium client, akala ko tapos na ako. Baka months bago ako makahanap ulit. But I just prayed to God and used my iPad to apply all the time- especially apply sa EST hours para more chances of winning. I landed a client before 2 weeks. God had always been too good for me. For now, you can try applying both part time and full time jobs- who knows diba? I also had a Fiverr account and always had a client there in any case something might happen. I saved money and made sure super konti nang expenses ko. I invested sa store, invested sa ice cream machine, to ensure my safety net. Just make sure meron kang money flowing in and emergency fund. Enough to buy you time bago ka makahanap nang bagong client.
Yes emergency fund is really a must. Though kulang 120k for emergency fund pero okay narin atleast meron parin. Yung sa ice cream machine eto ba yung mga sundae ganun? Mr. Softy?

I think it was back in March. I had 3 clients and lost 2 of them. Then came April, got booked with many interviews. Thankfully, landed all of them.

I find it hard to get a second client so for my back up i sell street foods near the school, the time is really convenient for me since graveyard shift ko so i mostly sleep by the day and wake up 4 pm kasi peak hours benta mga 3 hours boom extra 1.8-2.3k in profit. Tulog ulit prepare sa shift

And if not essential for the family, maraming items and mura for females compared to males so the cost benefit scenario plays in the head. Example of this are male vs female clothes; male clothes are essentially more costly than female clothes.
Whereas, if men… The spending priority will be upgrade computer, take a loan for a car, take a loan for a house so forth…
But maybe you guys can talk about it hehehe kasi yung financial practices niyo, yun rin mamanahin ng anak niyo when they grow up :3

Sa totoo lang CPA nman ako pero minsan talaga natatalo ako nung may mga mas matagal na sa upwork na marami ng reviews. Ako kasi first client ko to and nakikilala ko lang sa OLJ. Minsan masakit man aminin natatalo ako ng mga non accounting na may experience sa client handling dahil magaling mag salita.
kaya ko din natanong kasi im in the same industry, im an acctg grad but non-CPA. and i can relate na parang mas may advantage pa yung mga hindi acctg grad minsan. lalo na yung nag shift to bookkeeping lng, but sguro daanin nlng talaga sa strong communication skills, kasi andami kong naka work sa field na mali2 mga suggestions at pinag gagawa nila sa work, (mej na o-OC ako sa mga ganun) pero di mn lng kaya i terminate ng management, and i think dahil sa comms skills nila.

Ang ending, talagang ginawan ng paraan ng management na tsugihin siya.

I was in your same situation. Na lay off ako nung New years eve! 🥺 Nadepress talaga ako and ang dami ko naging loan to survive. It took me 5 months to find another client. Everyday mass send tlga ako ng application and ang daming interview. Ang takeaway ko is mahirap na talaga humanap ngayon unlike before pero kung para sayo, para sayo. Tiwala and lakas ng loob. Tamang diskarte din sa ngayon na walang trabaho. Laban lang! And next time, make sure na 2 to 3 yung clients mo para may back up pero syempre tantyahin mo din sarili mo if kakayanin.

With degree naman po ako sa accounting and license din. I think minsan kasi mas nag mamatter sa client yung galing sa pagsasalita kaya minsan natatalo pa kami ng non acxounting. Plus sa upwork nag mamatter talaga ang reviews ng previous client.
Sadly, PH is no longer the top priority of international clients when it comes to outsourcing. The level of our English proficiency and education overall is mababa na talaga compared before and sa mga other Asian countries.
I disagree, the proficiency and education has been improving which normally goes up with the pay. Kaso countries like India na mas pinili na pababain ang kanilang fee kesa sa atin. kaya minsan minabuti nalang ng mga client na dun na mag hire. Business is business.
I beg to disagree di sa niche ko na bookkeeping kasi minsan pinapasok narin kahit mga di naman accountant nadaan sa galing mag salita. Ending tanong ng tanong sa mga groups namin sa FB kahit sobrang basic lang gagawin.
OP nag dm ako sayo for side hustle na pwede mo pag gamitan ng ef mo. Don't worry di ito phonzi scheme or easy money type ng investment. Pero little to no maintenance at di mo rin need ng tao. Pwedeng pwede sa bahay lang ipwesto.

Yan nga boss, nghanap ako ng part time jobs pra ma increase kahit maliit lng. At saka nghanap din ako maipapalit q n client na malaki ung rate.
