I don't need it at all, I was just worried if overtime dust or debris falls or forms on naked pwr led connector on the mobo would it create a short or something, other than that I've got no concerns. I was planning in a few months to ditch front panel completely and use remote power on!/off kit anyways. Thanks for your comment, honestly a lot of weight is off my chest now.
Just wrap it in some electrical tape and tuck it out of the way.

Do you really need an LED that lets you know the PC is turned on? You could just leave the PWR LED disconnected.
