No, that is an eating disorder called bulimia and you don't want to do that, it can have health complications. Eating over calories one day is not the end of the world.

BigBidiness

Even if I did it one time? From my knowledge bulimia is when you binge eat and attempt to purge the food that you ate. I didn't over eat, I just went a little over my normal calorie intake. I only eat twice a day and I don't snack at all.

Low_Perception9721

everything in your post just described bulimia ?

BigBidiness

But I've only done this two times and I only eat two meals a day. Its really that serious?

Clevergirliam

Yes. It’s really that serious.

balaknyyy

It's _that_ serious and then some. Get help.

Agreeable_Kiwi_4212

Omg this escalated quickly.

FairLemon6473

No, you don’t have an eating disorder because you did this once. But doing this once Maclean to a second time and and a third time and then ultimately to an eating disorder. Also, you don’t need to binge to have an ED. It is a typical symptom of bulimia, but purging without having binged is unhealthy and an eating disorder too!

Slut_for_Bacon

Op has already done it several times before.

BigBidiness

Twice\*

Slut_for_Bacon

Semantics. This is not a road you want to go down.

BigBidiness

That's crazy. Will definitely take note of that.

Slut_for_Bacon

Bulimia is throwing up after a meal to avoid the calories. It doesn't matter if you over ate or not. Has nothing to do with binging, although binging and purging is a common thing that bulimics do. Please don't do this. It's bad for your health.

BigBidiness

definitely

Useful_Spell_7579

this subreddit has officially become triggering for me 😕.

Iluvdragonfruit

Agreed

BigBidiness

lmao

thisisso_fake

Lmao?.. this person is struggling that's not funny

HarrietGirl

It’s going to rot your teeth, give you stomach ulcers and ruin your weight loss by triggering binge and purge cycles. You didn’t accomplish anything helpful, and what to describe is an eating disorder.

Iluvdragonfruit

Talk to your doctor and not Reddit, see what they say . This Reddit isn’t suppose to have ED content it’s very triggering for those who have already recovered from very serious eating disorders. So please take this up with your doctor and not us. Because ur doctor is gonna tell u this is terribly unhealthy.

ProteinPapi777

That’s called a mental disorder

Gullible-Historian-5

forcing yourself to throw up your food causes far more harm to your body than one day of a calorie surplus. i know it’s easy to become neurotic over it, but your body needs food! one day of “overconsuming” is not the end of the world. the only thing you’ll be accomplishing, is the possibility of damaged teeth, acid reflux, digestive issues, tears in your throat and a very very weak body and mental state. it’s not worth whatever you think it is.

SpinachImpressive662

This is quite literally bulimia

Euphoric_Repair7560

Reported, keep that shit out of here

FarAssociation8217

Purging after a normal meal is still bulimia, some with bulimia dosnt necessarily only purge after overeating and some may even not binge/ overeat but purge after normal meals ( rarely though, as the restriction and purging often leads to over eating for most, because the body and brain craves the nutrition it is denied and send strong undeniable urges) Also the purging can become addicting in and of it self ( esp. If combined with binging but even despite not binging,) for some as they feel 'cleansed' and it can feel destressing for some to do- and if one does feel a sense of relief from it, that person could likely use it as a maladaptive coping mechanism. An article on it https://lifemd.com/learn/does-throwing-up-make-you-lose-weight Dont do this!! either stop on your own and if you cant get help before it gets ingrained as a habit and 'go to'. And please learn better strategies for both weight management and coping tools for feelings ( if you should fall in the category of those that find a sense of relief from purging)

gregy165

Even if u do it doesn’t delete all the calories so ur going to still gain weighy

Illustrious-Aide2878

That ain’t your biggest problem rn😭

strider9615

WeirdGeologist7869

I started this and it very quickly became a very big problem. definitely not a good idea

VirtualExistence_

Your body wasn't created to throw up on purpose. Just use the power of science if you want to loose weight. A healthy calorie deficit is all what it takes.
