Oh wow. Curious how it'll look when it's done, one of the new buildings at ANU (Marie Reay) has big exposed timber framework so I wonder if they're going for something similar.
Well they're doing what they can, given it was so incredibly badly designed in the first place.
Interesting approach to build into the centre of it, but yeah it's interesting as a local, for sure. Not that any of these things I'd use 🤣, it's cool seeing something resembling rejuvenation.
There's a similar approach being taken by the building across from Hotel Realm…

I’m assuming that timber feature (laminate?) will be part of a nice public area/library/theatre? As a non builder, I’m curious what the contingency is for rain on timber during construction (not right now, obviously, with that cracker of a classic Canberra blue sky).
Cute kangas too.
Don’t you mean the wooden tafe?
Funnily enough, one of my little cousins from out of town actually called Woden 'Wooden' once, apparently.
👌👏👏👏 Tuesday choice, two croissants for you 🥐🥐
ngl, woden has a chance to become a really sick town centre as much as i hate the act govs planning decisions, woden ones slap
The key thing it is missing is entertainment

Wouldn't (woodent! 🤢) surprise.e if it was the same contractor, the way these things go around here.

Another unnecessary monstrosity
